Published Calendar Doesn't Open to Current Month

I published an iCal Calendar in 9/08 and it works fine but the icon I have on my desktop opens to the monthly view for 9/08 rather than the current month. I can scroll it forward but would rather it opened to the current month. Is there a way to do that?

I am also having this issue but i am guessing that it is a known bug and if you are very very lucky it might be fixed someday....;=)
anyway, i recommend that you go to the apple feedback page and let them know that you would like this bug fixed. Or even better call apple support phone line, when it starts to cost them money they will fix it..maybe

Day29 (datatype string)
Day30 (datatype string)
Day31 (datatype string)
3) The default value Day1, Day2 etc will be null
4) I will find out Leave Details. If Leave has been approved for say Day5 then I will populate Day5 = 'AP'.
5) I will write another logic to make the color of cell as 'Green' for Day5.
6) In Feb 2011, there are 28 days. There will be another logic to make the Day29, Day30, Day31 invisible for months like Feb 2011.
Please let me know if this approach is correct.
Please also let me know how to display day i.e. 01.04.2011 is Friday. In Calendar I have to display

ICal Fails to Open in Current Month

Since April, my iCal opens in April instead of the current month. How do I get it to open in the current month?

One of the first things to try is "refresh" the com.apple.iCal.plist file. You will find the com.apple.iCal.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCAl, drag the .plist file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and check iCal for normal behavior.

Is there a way to create a calendar for keynote that automatically updates to current month?

I use keynote presentations for teaching foreign languages and wanted a calendar that updates automatically to current month everytime I present it rather than making it manually each month. I'm wondering if it can be done using the keynote date/time functions? Thank you.

Creating a whole interactive calendar for a month in a table could be done I suppose, but it's an awful lot of work for something that might be solved more easily in other ways.
IF you have a constant internet connection when you're teaching, create a Hyperlink on a blank Keynote slide to a web calendar, such as Google Calendar (or perhaps a school district calendar?) and enable it in the slide with Inspector, Hyperlink (blue circle with arrow icon 2nd from the right).
If you don't have web access on your teaching computer while you're teaching, I'd still probably capture a screenshot of the each monthly calendar and use that, updating to the current slide once a month. If you're usually too busy to remember to capture a new calendar on the first of the month, create a whole year of screen captured calendars at one time, add them to separate Keynote slides, and then just 'Skip Slide' all the months you aren't using. Not cool and interactive, but it would solve the problem. You might want to rename the screen captures to the month name before adding them as slides for ease of locating them later.
Since you're teaching foreign languages, in my sample below, I changed my default Google Calendar language to German. (Unfortunately, I left US Holidays enabled, so they aren't 'auf Deutsch', but you get the idea.) Understand that when you switch language in Google Calendar (or other Google app), it will switch ALL of your Google screens to that language, so be sure you remember which 'buttons' to push to change it back to English later!
Bring up your calendar onscreen in your browser and use Command+Shift+3 to capture the whole screen or Command+Shift+4 to capture just a portion of the screen. Once saved, insert the saved calendar into a Keynote slide.
Now, if that's more than you need, if you just want to display the date information in English as current weekday name, monthname, date number, and year, that's pretty simple.
Use the now() or today() function, you can create a simple table and add the following functions in separate cells, beginning each cell entry with the = sign (so the table 'knows' it's a function, and not just text:
=DAYNAME(NOW())
=MONTHNAME(MONTH(NOW()))
=DAY(NOW())
=YEAR(NOW())
And it displays like this on a slide:

How to lock historical periods and want to open current month to write

we are having Aso cube, and we need to lock historical periods and need to open the current month for the users for write. and also need to lock scenario. can any one suggest me how to do this?

I thought so too, but I have not managed to get it to work. I was only playing around with "new features" (as we recently upgraded to 9.3.1.) nothing that required production intensive research.

Displaying current month with all empty months

None of the answers I've seen for showing current month in a calendar has given a solid answer. So, here is my question. My objective is to display all calendar months rather they are empty or not, plus I want the calendar to start at the current month. I added coding to display a next month and previous month button, so you should be able to click next or previous month from the current month showing. I have the "Show All Empty Months" checked in the Display Options under Common Options and the start and end date are empty. I have a bind variable in my coding that defaults to the current month but it will not show an empty month. I get the "no rows returned" situation because it doesn't have anything in it. Is there a solution to showing all empty months?
Also, has anyone found a solution to hide/remove the default Next/Previous buttons? I read in one of the replies that this would be fixed in a forthcoming release. Is this true?

The calendar works on a sql query result. I had done something similar to what you are looking for by spoofing the sql query to return rows for all the months which I am interested in. I had a query like the following.

Is there a way to default the monthly calendar display
so that the current day always shows on top? ie, I want to always be able to see what's in the future 3-4 weeks, not what's in the past 3-4 weeks. The default monthly display is archaic--only allows you to see through the last day of the month. Suddenly today
is Oct. 30th, and I have a ton of projects lined up in November, but because I haven't been scrolling down every day, I haven't been aware of them every day. I realize there are other tools in Microsoft to help me stay on task, such as reminders and such,
but it would be helpful if I could always have the current day display on top of the monthly view so I can quickly scan what's coming up in the next few weeks.

Right, I already have it in Month view. My question is a little more specific--I'd like for the current day to always display at the top. For example, today is Oct. 31st, so the current day is at the bottom of the calendar since it is the last day of the month.
I can view everything in October that I've already completed. What I can't see are the future weeks because we haven't hit November yet. I'd like for the current day to always display at the top of my calendar so I can always see what's coming in the following
three - four weeks (whether they're a part of that month or not). I've been to other forums trying to find the answer, and have come across the same exact question from frustrated users--but there seemed to be no solution. So I'm posing the question myself

even really matter what month it is--I just always want to see what lies ahead without having to scroll down. With our being in the Technology Age, I'd assume this is a logical expectation, but we may be stuck with the replica version of the paper-desk-calendar
format until Outlook programmers add this Technology Age feature in newer versions.
See, this month kind of messed me up because I have so many projects for November that start tomorrow and next week, but I haven't seen them until this week. I would have been better quipped--at least expecting them--had I been able to see all of those projects
since last week or the week prior.

URL for viewing current month calendar

We are using iCal to publish and view our school calendar. We have a mixed computer environment of Macs and PC. The principal has a Mac and creates calendar events in iCal and it is automatically uploaded to our .Mac account and published as a web page.
The PC's have active desktop set to the school's calendar web page. This allows them to view the web page (the school's calendar) generated by iCal right on the desktop. The Macs automatically launch iCal which has subscribed to the school's Calendar.
My question has to do with the URL which I should set up for the PC's. If I use the default URL (http://ical.mac.com/dberg/argyle) the calendar is viewed in weekly view. We want it to view in monthly view so instead last month we set it to http://ical.mac.com/WebObjects/iCal.woa/wa/default?d=1&u=dberg&v=1&y=2005&m=8&n= argyle.ics which views the month. Then the month changed but the calendar didn't so we experimented with the URL and deleted the &m=8 value and that worked. It seems to now always display the current month. Then we noticed that the year value is still in the URL (&y=2005) so we are going to delete that value as well. My question is should we also delete the "d=1&" value as well? It seems to work without it but I don't really know wha that d value is all about. We noticed that if &v=1 is removed it goes back to week view so we want to leave that in.
Any other hints as to what URL values to use so that no matter what year or month it is it will always show the current year?

when you switch to Preferences, you'll see 2 sections: "Page View" and "Calendar View". Directly written under Calendar View you should see "Default calendar:" and a list field (sorry, I don't know the exact English term). You can change the entry of this field from "Weekly" to "Monthly" at least that's what I can do on your ical

Display Current Month's calendar

Hello,
I have a calendar that will display several months worth of data. I would like the calendar to display the current month's data initially and allow the user to scroll back to previous months. Obviously, when you set the start_date and end_date you can only view the curretn month.
Is there a way to control the month that is initially displayed on the calendar?

This workaround does work quite well and I've implemented it successfully, but I do have a question:
I need to place this calendar into a page as a portlet. When I click the 'next,previous,current' buttons, it does take me to appropriate month, but opens up in a new page and I need it to stay as a portlet within the page. Have any ideas on how to implement this? I'm using Portal Release 2. Thanks for the help in advance.

ToDO List doesn't show up on published calendar?HELP NEEDED

I'm new to iCal. I've checked off the correct box to publish Alarms and ToDo List. When I view the published calendar in a Safari window, I can't see the ToDo list anywhere....all I see is the Calendar and "This Month's Events" at the bottom of the page. I want to be able to view the ToDo list via the web, but how?

The .Mac webview of calendars only supports appointments, not tasks. Your tasks are actually published, so if anyone subscribes with iCal, they could see the tasks, but the browser doesn't display them. If you have access to a server to run a custom web calendar app, you could try phpicalendar. This works on the same principle as the .Mac server & parses the iCalendar file for display in a web page. It does support task display.

IPad current month doesn't show any events on load.

I have an iPad original running last iOS 5 allowed.
Whenever I launch my calendar, set to month view, the current month is blank.
I have to click any previous month, which displays all events properly, and then click back to current month which forces the event data to load.
Anyone know why the current data isn't displaying on launch?
I'm on a fast WiFi (30 Mbps dnld) so it can't be a broadband issue.

Sorry, missed that fact. My memory is good, but short.
Try moving the "Calendar Cache" file to your Desktop. Quit iCal, and find the "Calendar Cache" file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Calendars. Move that file to your Desktop. After that, (I remember that I recommended this before), as long as you are moving files to the Desktop, repeat the plist removal procedure once again, log out/in or restart.
You should also consider removing the "To Do's" from Mail before restarting iCal. When you open iCal turn off "Show Birthdays calendar" in iCal>Preferences...>General.
Are you syncing any data? If so, what method(s) are you using?

How to make published calendar show month view by default?

I have a published calendar that I put into an iframe on a website. Unfortunately, it comes up in week view by default. I know that if you click on month view, it gives you a new URL that you could copy and use, but that URL is specific to a month and so when we get to April, for instance, the default calendar view would be month, but would still display March's calendar. Is there something else I can put in the URL to make the default view to the actual, current month?

Calendar to get week number of current month

Hi All,
Description: Currently I am working on an application which require to calculate some data for current month from a database where I have the data of all the previous and current month of that year, I can take week number as criteria.
Help Required: I can find week of month or year using Calendar methods but how to find the first week on the current month only.
Lets suppose the current month is April so when I use, int weekofmonth = cal.get(cal.WEEK_OF_MONTH);
it will return me the number of present week however I want to get what would be the week number at the start of the month (April).

Current month open sales orders

Hello Experts,
I have requirement to build a custom report to calculate open sales order quantity and its count for current month. I know we can use VBBE for open quantity and VBUP for the status to capture the count, however how can i add the logic to get the required information for the current month. Is there a function module or BAPI available which can be of any help, i have to consider the performance issue too, if i were to use multiple tables. Please advise

There is a standard BAPI available for listing Sales Orders.
<b>BAPI_SALESORDER_GETLIST</b>
However to meet your requirement of <b>OPEN sales orders</b>, you will have to modify this BAPI to suit your purpose. You can give appropriate logic to you ABAPer with reference to tables VBUK,VBUP, etc. This means that you will have to create a new Z-BAPI, keeping the above BAPI as the core.
Once this is done you can wrap Z-BAPI in a transaction code or a program/ report, so that it is ready to use by business.
Selection Variants can be used to default the date range as 01/MM/XXXXX to 31/MM/XXXX.

Which characteristic is actually required? Should I restrict the Net Sales by the Overall Delivery Status of ordered items(0dlv_stso)?
