Published iMix will not open iTunes in Windows Vista

Hello,
I have an issue wherein when I click an iMix link to get to an iMix that someone has published on their website, the link does not open my iTunes store, as it does on another pc running Windows XP. Instead, with Vista, it brings up a window that says "do you want to save this file, or find a program online to open it." Neither choice gives me any resolution.
I'm sure it is a security setting somewhere in Vista, but I can't seem to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

For the first time,am getting a routine error R6034. Do not let open my iTunes, and possible lost all my contents. Why is this happening, is it nothing secure on the Internet no more even our music? Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Will not open itunes on windows 7 - disk locked

I can install and uninstall itunes fine, but I can never open it due to an apparently locked disk.
I had it installed on my D drive and it was working fine, until it stopped opening one day. I recently tried installing it on my C drive, and it didn't open either. I don't know what could have caused this, except that I joined a Homegroup just before it stopped working.
Could this have anything to do with the problem? And what would be the best thing to do?

i have the same problem. i have been downloading my cd library and some songs from my purchases at the itunes store and both will not play. the diamond does not move. also, my speakers are not working nor is windows media player when i try to play movie files. not sure if they are related. anyone find any answers?

Publisher 2013 - will not open under DOMAIN user profile.

Publisher 2013 - will not open/launch under a normal user profile. mspub.exe shows in taskmanager then disappears. This is a Windows 7 machine.

If we create a new Windows account on the computer and start Publisher with the new account. Does it work?
If so, we maybe consider recreating the user profile of the specified account.
If the issue persists with the new account, please repair the Office program and then try again.

If you face the error "Publisher cannot open the file" or "Publisher has detected a problem", we need to add the PromptForBadFiles subkey to your computer's registry.
ImportantFollow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it,
back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
1. Press Win + R, type regedit.exe in the blank box, press Enter.
2. Locate and then select the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Publisher
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click
DWORD Value.
4. Type PromptForBadFiles, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click PromptForBadFiles, and then click Modify.

Are these Flash Videoes?
Out-of-date versions of Adobe Flash Player do not include the latest security updates and will be disabled to help keep your Mac secure. If Safari 5.1.7 or Leopard Security Update 2012-003 detects an out-of-date version of Flash Player on your system, you will see a dialog informing you that Flash Player has been disabled. The dialog provides the option to go directly to Adobe's website, where you can download and install an updated version of Flash Player.
Additional Information
If you need to re-enable an out-of-date version of Flash Player, you can do the following:
    1.    Navigate to the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins (Disabled) folder.

Get error 7 message when trying to open iTunes in windows vista

All of a studded my windows vista 64 bit computer will not open iTunes. It has a error 7 message. I have tried removing it according to supports instructions with no luck. One problem that I had is that it told you to delete the iTunes folder in the common files and it would not let me do that but everything else deleted.still no luck when I reinstalled, any help would be appreciated. I also tried updating the net framework, no luck.

Updated to iTunes 11 now it will not open or uninstall- Windows 8 64bit

Updated to iTunes 11 using the "check for updates" tab on iTunes. I installed and realized it will not open. Turns out it installed the 32bit version (I did not have any option to choose between 32bit and 64bit). Nothing was going right so I attemped to unistall it using the controll panel and going to unistall programs. It in a way uninstalled, there is no iTunes folder on my hard drive or anything so I am guessing it did uninstall? Anyways, I attemted to download and install iTunes 11 (The actually 64bit) again but here is what happens: It will download everything but it will not open to install. Help?

My iTunes will not open anymore, giving me the error message: "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times, and with different versions. Nothing I do seems to work. I have even copied the program files from a friend whose iTunes does work, hoping that would fix it, but to no avail. Has anyone discovered a way to fix this problem. I have a friend who has the same problem, but hasn't been able to fix it either.

What happens when you go into control panel, click on the Quick Tunes config icon, and then select the audio tab? If you get an error, Quick Time is corrupted. Also double check your sound card drivers. Can you play any sound at all? Does Windows Media Player function? What is you anti virus software?

... I know this is not a new question, and I have tried just about everything that was suggested before. I removed iTunes and Quicktime and all programs related to them and reinstalled iTunes. However, it still will not open; I get a message indicating that the Data Execution Prevention program has closed it down.
I tried to bypass the DEP, following the instructions provided, by manually exempting iTunes from it. However, I received a message that this program could not be exempted. The DEP setting was set so that only Windows System 32 programs would be governed by it. But this did not work either.
Finally, I set things up so that iTunes would run only via an adminstrator account, but this too did not work.
I should note that iTunes worked fine on my laptop until several weeks ago, when Microsoft pushed some windows updates. (I have Windows Vista Service Pack 2 operating now, but don't know what it is or its significance to this problem.)
So, I think I have exhausted the troubleshooting options I have seen. ... Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I reinstall Quicktime and it would not launch and gave me the same error messages.
We'd better check to see if some other application has stashed old versions of QuickTime componentry down in your system files.
So we'll go looking for the older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files ... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)
