Publishing different Domain files overwrite each other

Because my Domain file was to big in iWeb 1 (was 2 GB), I split it in seperate files. I had to manage the different Domainfiles by care in iWeb 1, but it works fine. The only thing what was important that each domain file dos not had the same Site name.
After I upgraded to iWeb 2.0.1 this workflow is not working any more. Every time a change a Domain file (different Site names)the publishing action will overwrite the last published folder in my web directory.
The only solution is now publishing every domain to a folder on my hard drive and upload this after that. This is a very time costing workflow (publish everytime 300MB over and over again). Any suggestions?

I have created multiple instances of OC4J that are configured to run on different ports and so on each instance I have deployed a single web application . And I started the 2 oc4j instances by transferring thier error/log messages to a file. And the other way is ..
I have download from jakarta site a package called servhelper . This servhelper is a thread that is started in a startup servlet and stopped in the destroy method of that startup servlet. So this thread will automatically capture all the system.out.println's and will print those to a file. I believe that this thread program is synchronized. So in this method I need not run multiple instances of OC4J instead each deployed web application on single instance of oc4j uses the same thread program (ofcourse a copy of thread program is put in each of the deployed web applications directories) to log messages on to different log files.
Can you comment on my above 2 approached to logging debugging messages and a compartive explanation to LOG4J and how to use LOG4J using a simple servlet, simple jsp is appreciated ...

Image colors depend on the computer that publishes my Domain file?!?!

Here's a weird one... First, the setup.
My site is published from two different computers both using iWeb '08, using the same Domain.sites2 file that's passed from computer to computer using my idisk. The Domain file is always copied down to a local computer before new changes are made and published. Recently, I've noticed, that publishing from one of the computers (but not the other) results in overly intense colors, especially in the red tones. This I tested by accessing my site with Safari and opening one of the overly intense images. Leaving the browser page open, I then republish my site using a different computer, accessed the page again... and the images is normal! On screen you see the previously published image beside the newly published image, and the color deffirecenes are obvious, even though the same file was being published without modification.
Can anyone think of why this is happening? I can't imagine iWeb treating the publishing of images differently from computer to computer, unless there is some other weird computer-dependent processing going on.

Unfortunately, the issue is not with which pages get published (that works fine), but with the amount of color in the images that are published.
Imagine this...
You have a JPEG photo of a sunset that is stored on an idisk. The photo is downloaded to Computer A, placed onto a page in iWeb, and published to the web. Here, the photo appears on the web site as one would expect (blue sky, subtle oranges and reds, some purples). The Domain.sites2 file is then copied onto the idisk.
Now, on Computer B the Domain.sites2 is downloaded from the idisk, and opened in iWeb. A change is made to the page (not a change to the photo) and the site is republished. When visiting the site a sunset still appears, but the blue sky is now really, really blue, and the subtle oranges and reds are now intensely red. It would appear that a significant amount of contrast and saturation has been added to the photo.
Something about publishing is different on Computer B.
Here's some additional interesting data.
The original photo file is 1024 x 656 pixels and 391K in size.
The photo is sized in iWeb to be 605 x 388.
After the initial publishing from Computer A (the one in which the image looks fine), and upon investigating the Site folder created on MobileMe, the photo file has been resized to be 605 x 388 and now occupies 108K. After publishing from Computer B (where the image is contrasty and oversaturated), the dimensions of the file are still 605 x 388, but the size of the file when published from Computer B is 111K, so the file as published from Computer B is clearly different.
I'm guessing that this has something to do with how iWeb treats rescaling an image on one computer (or, maybe, version of Mac OS X or Quicktime?!?!) to another.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Keeping messages to different receivers independent of each other

Hi
We have a scenario in XI where a message from R3 in EOIO QOS hits XI and then the message has 3 receivers depending upon the content of the payload. Each receiver is a different application that is waiting to receive messages from R3. There is no BPM involved in this scenario.
What we find is all these three messages are put in the same queue on the receiving side as I see in RWB . So - if one of the receiving systems had an issue ( either in mapping or application error while XI tries to communicate with that end system ) , the other two messages are in queue - and in HOLDING status.
Our objective is to make these messages to different receiver systems independent of each other with this QOS - EOIO . Am i missing something here ? Is the queue name at the receiving end - not supposed to contain the receiving system name also as a part of it - so that the three queue names are unique and independent of each other ?

Default behavior of Adapter engine is EOIO. You will see the messages in queue in RWB. When you remove the configuration for "Maintain order at runtime" from interface determination then PI will process the messages independently. But in RWB as its having EOIO you will see the messages under a queue. But expected is PI should process as EO.

Same applets running on 2 different browser independent of each other

Hi all,
I am calling the same applet two times in a browser. So i declared all the variables to be shared by the 2 applets as "private static".
Now i want the applets in 1 browser to be independent of the applets in another browser when multiple browsers are invoked.(remember that each browser has 2 applets each).
In other words,same applets invoked in MULTIPLE BROWSERS should be independent of each other. How to go about doing that?
Is it possible to somehow invoke separate jvms for 2 separate browsers on the same machine when clicked on the same link twice?

I have downloaded two albums and they have the same song on, but they keep overwriting each other?

I have downloaded Now 84 and Bad Blood from iTunes, both these albums have the song Pompeii on it, and my iPhone will only allow me to have one version of this song on my phone, so whenever I try to re-download the song of the album it's gone missing from it just overwrites the other version.
I have multiple versions of other songs on my iPhone with no trouble

[Bug] Exporting files may overwrite each other

I think I'm seeing a bug in LR 1.3.
If you want to export several different versions of one image and you start exporting one version while another export of the same image is already in progress, but LR didn't already create the destination file in the file system, you'll not get a warning dialogue because of a naming conflict but the second file will just overwrite the first one.
I managed to export 6 versions of a file, i.e. have 6 exports running at one time, but in the end having just one file. Granted my computer is of the slower ones and thus it takes some time from starting the export until the destination file (jpg, psd a.s.o.) is created. But it might also happen on up-to-date systems.
If I'm starting the second export after a file for the first one has been created, LR correctly alerts me for the name conflict and asks me what to do.

Of course, that's the workaround but no fix. I don't know how often one should want to do that and it was the first time for me too (though I'm not working with LR for long time).
I'm working with a AMD Duron 1,3GHz.
Setting that up is a manual job. Make snapshots and then select one, export, select another, export a.s.o. First I had expected to get the chance to export several snapshots at once (using the snapshotname as file name part), but that doesn't seem to be available. Then I expected to get asked if LR should create a unique file name, but it doesn't.
It would be nice for me to start those exports and then do some other stuff until it's done. But so I've to wait each to finish until starting the next one.

Is there a way to use multiple ipods on one computer without them overwriting each other?

i have in total 3 ipods.
One is an the square ipod. (the one with the moving screen on the right)
the second is an ipod shuffle (the touch screen one)
and i just got an ipod touch. (the colorful one)
i still use all my ipods but on my first two i use the same itunes for it. so for example, i use one ipod to download all of my music library.
then i connect my second ipod only to download selected songs.
but now that i have an ipod touch, one of the ipods is going to be overwritten.
So is there a way for that not to happen?
having a flash drive for a seperate itunes for one ipod is to much of a hassle.
but if anyone has the answers, i would greatly appriaciate it.

Why do you think that one will be over written?
You can sync as many ipods/iphones/ipads as you like to one computer. Each is different and will only sync what you select.

Help: Problem With Seperate Arrays Overwriting Each Other!

I have this function that randomly allocates free time to coursework blocks. This method works because I have tested numerous times and it always prints of different allocations of time every time its called.
The problem that I have is that I have this method that called this method twice to store each different call within a separate ArrayList.
When I make the first call the block are assigned to the array fine. But when I called it a second time to store the next result within a separate Array the first Array result are overwritten . Any body have any idea why this is happening, I have asked numerous friends and even my supervisor and he can't find anything wrong with it. Any help would be very helpful...

Remember when you assign to a reference variable such as courseworkTimetableOne =, all that does is copy a reference so now courseworkTimetableOne is pointing to the same object that whatever is on the RHS is pointing to.
If you want two different lists, then either courseworkAllocation should make a copy of its internal list and return that, or else the caller should do it.

Elements overwrites each others in Linked List

hello, my problem is mentioned as the subject.
i'm trying to add the same object into a linked list each time with different values, however it doesn't work and eventually all objects stored in the linked list become identical.
here's the sample code.

You need to understand the distinction between references and objects. You're not storing objects in the linked list, but references. All of these references point to the same object. You need to create a new object each time through the loop.

How do I prevent multiple registrants from overwriting each other's cookies?

Here’s the problem:
1 household, multiple users who don’t log on or off. They are learning different languages. They come to the site to register and the registration part works fine. But, because they don't properly logon and off, the cookies that are set by the first registrant are overwritten by the second and so on. When someone returns to the site, the cookies set by the second or third registrant would take the 1st registrant to the wrong login page. Is there a standard solution for this (seemingly) obvious problem?
Any ideas like:

IPhone; Am I able to publish apps that looks like each other?

I am currently on my way to create an app for a carpenter. It will present his company along with a GPS solution and some other stuff. I got a question from one of his friends that asked if we could do such an app for him as well, just changing the logo, the pictures and other company-related stuff. I said yes, but then I got uncertain; Am I able to use my own code and just do these small changes and publish it as a separate app?
I can't find anything about it in the developer agreement, and I can't imagine any drawback for Apple regarding this.
Furthermore, if this doesn't violate the agreement we'll probably have more companies that want this app (with their own info of course).
I guess it's allowed, but I want to be sure before I invest my time in this.
Any ideas?
