Can I add a CD directly to iCloud without storing on my computer?

I am a current iTunes Match and iCloud subscriber. Match has successfully identified the music on my computer hard drive, however, I have several dozen additional CDs that I would like to add to iTunes Match / iCloud but I don't necessarily want all of them taking up space on my hard drive.
Is it possible to use iTunes Match to scan my physical CDs so that they are matched and added directly to iCloud without my having to rip each one and save the ripped files to my hard drive?

You have old computers authorized that you are no longer using more than likely.

New Iphone: Can I importa vcard file directly into Icloud?

Hi,
a friend of mine is getting a new Iphone and want's to migrate all adresses from the old Nokia phone to the Iphone.
The export of the adress data into a vcard file is not a problem.
Can she import the vcard file directly into icloud.com? to go through a Mac Adressbook is not an option as she's a windows user.

You can manually enter new contacts via iCloud.com but there isn't an option to import. I tried dropping a v.card onto the browser, it indicated it might work but didn't

iCloud does NOT allow you to host your web sites. You can continue to use iWeb but, will need a 3rd party web host to upload your websites to. Depending on the version of iWeb you are using you have a couple of publishing options:
iWeb '09 (3.0.4) you can publish to an FTP Server or a local folder. ( With the built in FTP in iWeb you will end up with an address like "www.YourDomain.com/sitename/Home.html )
iWeb '08 you can publish your website to a local folder

How to hide full name when publishing photos to icloud's public website?

When allowing iPhoto to publish photos to iCloud (Public Website, allow anyone to view this photo stream at:..." my full Name (xxx by xxx) is always displayed when opening the link.
Does anyone know how to hide or change the name displayed?

I tried changing my name (Apple ID). It had no effect on the Aperture photo stream website page (and yes, I tried it with a new photo stream).
I still think your name should not be included by default with public website, as well as ability to prevent pictures from Copy/Save.

Published directly to YouTube - edited footage - How do I update?

I've used imovie 08 to publish directly to YouTube which works very well though decided I wanted to edit and update the file, and read the short info in their help files regarding further edits to files which states:
If you make further edits to your project in iMovie after you’ve published it to YouTube, the title bar indicates that your project is out of date and needs to be rendered again. Old versions of the movie are deleted and replaced by new ones when you render it again.
If you want to save the previous version of your movie before you edit it, you can do so by exporting it to the Finder.
Not exactly very helpful, so I edited footage of said file and clicked on Share > YouTube using the exact same file name, description and keywords, only to find that I had posted another copy onto YouTube.
Can anyone explain how to update (render) the footage already published to YouTube rather than creating a new file???

Sure, no problem. An error destination is just a regular JMS destination, so you can send to it directly or receive from it directly.

How to save an image on iOS Safari direct to iCloud Drive

I'm currently browsing Safari on my iPhone and found a picture I'd like to save.
There's no option for me to save it to a user-created folder in iCloud Drive. Why?
I basicly have no way to browse, create, move, copy and share files with others
on iCloud Drive.
My opinion is iCloud Drive is no Dropbox killer, AT ALL!

I don't know of any way to save an image from IOS Safari "direct" to iCloud, but FWIW I don't know how to do that "direct" to Dropbox either.
However, there are lots of ways to get a Safari image to iCloud albeit not quite "directly."
1. Send a link of the image from your IOS device to a Mac. Open the link on the Mac and copy the image to your desktop. Open iCloud and drag and drop the image there.
2. Copy the image from IOS Safari, open an email to yourself, and paste the image. Open the email on your Mac and proceed as in #1.
3. Copy the image in IOS Safari, open a Pages document, and paste the image there. It will automatically be saved to iCloud.
4. Petition Apple to implement the "direct" transfer.
And there may well be other ways too - this can't exhaust the possibilities.

The new URL services in the PDK may allow you to do this. You can find information on these new services on the Portal Page on OTN. Click on the PDK link. Note that the URL services require 3.0.8 of the portal.

What happens to my journals published in my icloud account when I upgrade to IOS8. I am searching for a way to preserve them in the cloud if possible after loosing I photo in the upgrade. I understand that I will no longer be able to edit them but if I can continue to view them that would be fine.

Apple does not say, what will happen to the shared journals in iCloud. My iCloud webpage was empty after upgrading to iOS 8. Others have reported, that their Journals are still online, but there is no way to delete them. It would be safer to download the published journal while it is there and to move it to a different site, so you will stay in control.
You can save the HTML version of your journal to your computer using iTunes as described here: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/2.0/?handbuch#blnkaf3ef70a
Even if you do not publish the journal to another site, you will be able to view the downloaded files with Safari.

You want to download (I assume you meant upload) it to iCloud? If that's what you mean, you can't. iCloud will already have movies purchased from the iTunes store, which can be redownloaded (depending on your location) from your purchased list. Movies from other sources cannot be stored in iCloud, except digital copies or purchased DVDs that are compatible with iTunes.

If you CREATE an iWork document on the iPad or iPhone (with the documents sync enabled on that device) it will immedatly appear on iCloud and all other iPads and iPhones sharing that iCloud account. To get the document into your MacBook, you have to log into iCloud, click on the document, and select "download". You can then open it on the MacBook and edit it.
If you want to put it back to iCloud, you have to save it, then physically drag and drop the file to the iCloud window in Safari. This will upload it, but nothing can be done with it at iCloud.com yet. It is now simply avaialble to be opened on your iPhone or iPad. Once you open it on one of those devices, and then close/save it, it will be available on iCloud.com for viewing or editing.
