Publishing failure

When I try to publish my iWeb site, i got this unown publishing failure.
I have been changing my theme on the webiste these days, but it worked before, so I don´t think thats the problem, but I´m not sure.
Any good idéas? Or do I just have to wait and it will fix it self?
And one more thing, yesterday, when this started, my whole computer gets slow when I use iWeb..

Try quitting iWeb and deleting the preference file.....
Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist.
If that doesn't fix it, delete the .plist again, restart your Mac and run Disk Utility to repair permissions.
If you are publishing to MobileMe, try a "Publish All".

  • HI,Why every five minutes, the server - side NetStream.publish failure

RTMP spread to the FMS, and then create netGroup and NetStream objects on the server side, then the NetStream.publish (), the beginning of everything is normal, but after five minutes, very strange happens to be five minutes, the client node receives less thanstream had, and I monitor the status of this server-side NetStream no change is to publish the start, why the five minutes it will automatically stop publishing flow RTMP stream has been no problem in the transmission

i assume, from your post, that you are using FMS and are publishing a multicast stream.
if you are using the "Flash Media Development Server", prior to release 4.5, multicast streams time out after about 10 minutes.  as of release 4.5, multicast streams time out after about 30 minutes.  to see this and other limits of the Development Server, see:
       http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/helpmechoose.html
if that is not the problem, then if you are writing your own server-side scripts, perhaps you are not anchoring a NetStream, Stream, or NetConnection object properly and it is being destroyed by the garbage collector.
if you need more help with Flash Media Server, you should direct your questions to the Flash Media Server forums. the Codename Cirrus service is not based on FMS.

  • IBooks publish failure - Supported Language Problems?

I created some beautiful books in iBooks Author in the Khmer language - and have a line up of others waiting to be done.
I think that I have done everything right - and researched each step along the way.  I established relationship with Apple to Produce successfully.  Downloaded Producer have completed accurately the itmsp file for this book title.  Filled out everything in iTunes producer - went to Deliver - and the response I get back is as below. It would appear that I can't submit this in ibooks format because of the language (assuming km = khmer).
It seems strange that everything is supported up to this point.  OSX has Khmer native, I can create great books in iBooks Author, preview is perfect on iPad, iPad mini.  I can select "Central Khmer" as the language of the book in Producer.  Am I really being told that I need to modify my iBooks somehow to become epub 3 format in order to submit successfully to the the iBooks store?  It seem counter-intuitive.
    Please help, anybody!  Thanks

  • I have installed Adobe Creative Cloud and Muse hangs on publishing? Help?

I am working within the Cloud now as subscribed. I installed Muse with intention of continuing building websites with the Muse Release Candadate, from Muse Beta that I learned and used for months. The sites that I had created with Muse Beta usually published without incident. But now that I've installed Muse RC, I find that I cannot publish at all. It either hangs or I get diverse error messages. The biggest tick of all is trying to get support! Is it because it's the weekend that I cannot find a phone number to call Adobe Support? Or am I meant to go around in circles seeking support that I cannot find an option for? It was easy to sign up and put money towards this program but be fore warned that this seems to be my only option for getting help? I have a client that I'm developing a website for and we were both happy to see Muse finally hit the market. I thought failing to publish issues would have been well worked out prior to release? Wouldn't you think so? I have to doubt the problem lies on my end and do not want to be pointed back in that direction again. Or I guess I could contact sales again for a support option there? Oh! I see Milton & Bradley have, Aggravation, Risk, and Life, named very well.     "help please"?

Thank you Manish, but as i've described this problem thourghly over time while building this website in Muse beta. So too, I have downloaded this additional content which offered no resolve. I have contacted a person at Adobe Muse Support and have sent him a copy of the website to analyze its publishing failure. I think it is now in competent hands to solve the problem. I appreciate your reply and interest in helping me. Thanks much, John

  • Egads, can't publish

I am trying to set my old B&W powermac as a server and I'm trying to set it up as a web server. the first thing I wanted to do was to publish my calendars from ical. The idea was to avoid the task of having to constantly back up my calendars between my iBook and powermac.
I'm having trouble when i go to publish. No matter where i try to publish the ical file to, I get one of the following messages:
    "Publish failure for calendar "Home"
brianrule@xxx/home.ics is not a valid location for this request" (where xxx is the location i specified) or
    "Publish failed for calendar "Home"
Server is currently unreachable or it names (user) is invalid"
I've tried both the url for the cruddy webpage i created, and the directory paths to where i want the file stored.
I'm using a program called complete apache2 to do the webserver thing.
Both machines are running OS X 10.4 (4.5 on the iBook and 4.4 on the PM)
    What did i do wrong?

  • 1.1 Publishing Success

This is a post that those with a relatively simple site (or sites) may be interested in. I have a simple iWeb site that I've been using to play with the program since its release. It contains just a half dozen pages or so (home, blog, photo gallery, etc.). I read most of the negative comments about publishing with the 1.1 update, and the advice to avoid installing the update, but decided to go ahead with it today (as my entire site is a learning experience for me --- not something I rely upon for my living or something else that is critically important to me).
I made some changes to the site (making some images link to pages, adding some text, etc.). and then published the site again. When asked if I wanted to republish the entire site, as 1.1 would "optimize" it, I agreed. Everything went very smoothly and very quickly (remember that I have only about 6 pages on this site, so YMMV). I emptied Safari's cache and then viewed the new site. Perfect.
No error messages were seen, and there was absolutely no difficulty in (re)publishing the site. I don't doubt that others are having problems, but I wanted to let (at least) those folks who have rather simple sites know that success is possible.
By the way, I have no third-party things (counters, comments, etc.) on my site --- just Apple's iWeb equivalents. For what it's worth, I use Earthlink DSL. I don't know if either of those things are factors in my publishing success; for all I know, they may be completely irrelevant.
Just wanted those visiting this board to know that the publishing failures many are reporting with 1.1 are not universal. I am quite happy with iWeb, and the 1.1 update did indeed make the pages on my site load more quickly.

I also had success with 1.1 (never could get 1.0.1 to work). My site has been republished ... but it did take two tries.
On the first try the upload was almost done when I got an error notice on a particular photo in a photo page. I reloaded the one image into iWeb and published again. Success! Images are now jpegs, text is now selectable and it all loads much faster.
My site has several photo pages, two QT videos and numerous blog entries.
I understand the frustration of those having problems. That was my experience with iWeb 1.0.1 (and if you wonder if Apple folks read these forums: they do. I was contacted by Apple after posting about 1.0.1 problems here, asking if they could check out my site to see what might be going wrong).
One thing I started doing after previous problems was leaving iDisk unmounted while uploading. It made a difference. Comcast recently increased the connection speed here and that may also have helped. Or, maybe Apple really did do something to their servers today!
Another thought: Be sure you've upgraded to the most recent version of OS X (10.4.6). I noticed that Apple recommends it for iWeb 1.1.
Wish I had more advice for those with problems. Hang in there!

Same problem here with and I've done everything shy of a total reset which I also find unacceptable. This problem exists on all iMessage platforms (iPhone, iPad, and Mac) so I don't see how restoring my iPhone would help the problem.

  • Not able to post messages to channel

    Hi,
I have created a simple application which sends messages to the channel.
    Here is my channel :
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!--
    A sample channel file
Change "channelPrefix" and <channel/> elements to customize
The following namespaces are used in this sample file. These
namespaces refer to schemas that must be present in a schema
    directory.
    - xmlns:eg=http://www.bea.com/wli/eventGenerator" is used
    for event generator metadata references
    - xmlns:dp="http://www.bea.com/wli/control/dynamicProperties" is
used by the file event generator to pass payload for pass-by-filename
    - xmlns:oagpo="http://www.openapplications.org/003_process_po_007" is
used for a sample payload description

ya I was able to resolve this issue by removing the Pointbase as WLI repository and point to DB2 , as pointbase seems not scalable.
Also increase the DB pool size .
Script for creating the schema is inside the WLI.
    Thanks

  • Anyone experiencing extremely slow downloads from Apple?

For the past 48hrs or so I've been unable to stream or download HD Video from iTunes store or iCloud on any of my devices, Apple TV's or Computers.
Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other HD Streaming services unaffected.  Internet up and running 45Mbps connection, working great. only thing affected is content from Apple, specifically content purchased and on iCloud.  iCloud account fine, Apple ID account fine.  Can access Apple.com, iTunes Store, Apple Store, Communities, and content, however, streaming, downloads extremely slow, almost unresponsive....
Is anyone aware of any slowdown issues, servers down, or other issues affecting access to content?
You know because Apple is always so forthcoming on these issues!
So far Ive found no mention of any issues in any of the communities....
    Thank You.

Apparently Adobe is having server problems. Other users have reported problems today.

  • Flash 11.7.700.202 - reports of unable to see video

We run a social video site and have had many reports of users unable to see video in the last few days. Our code has not changed and we believe this is due to the 11.7.700.202 release as these problems were not previously reported.
    Symptoms:
User is subscribing via rtmfp to a live stream on an Adobe FMS. When this happens, we don't know if they fail to connect or the connect succeeds and they don't see video. We use an inhouse flash app. The feed is available on the FMS since other users are successfully subscribing to the same feed.
This happens to a small percent of users but that leads to many reports across our user base.
Refreshing the page, which reinstantiates the flash app, removes the problem.
Is anyone else seeing problems with viewing video from the newly updated flash player?
    Thank you,
    Robert

We found the problem and it is on our side, not a problem with the flash upgrade. I'll write what happened here in case it can help anyone else.
On Sunday night, two days after this post, one of our FMSs stopped accepting RTMFP publishes. When we examined the box we found that it was reporting that it had reached its max licensed RTMFP connections. We know there weren't that number of connections on there and suspect that connections leaked. After restarting the box, the FMS resumed accepting RTMFP publishes. This failure has never happened to us before so we're treating it as a one-off and not investigating.
Since the restart of that FMS, reports of subscribe failures have disappeared. That's great and we're presuming the restart fixed the subscribe failures. The strange thing is that users were reporting subscribe failures several days before we observed any publish failures. That said, we know this FMS was in a strange state so we concluded our investigation.
Thanks to Chris for the quick response on this.

  • Flash 11.7.700.202 breaks Youtube videos...

    11.7.700.202
    Windows 7 (64-bit)
    Firefox 21.0
    http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/flash-player-update.html
Flash update for Chrome has had poor performance on youtube videos. Some videos you hear the start of the sound and see and picture, start buffering and then starts playing again.  Very annoying.  Never used to do this, and sdoesn;t do this on internet explorer.
It hangs randomly during Youtube videos. Sometimes they don't even start. Changing the resolution (480p, 720p, etc) sometimes kicks it into gear, but not often. Refreshing the page doesn't help much either.
I have to download them with DownloadHelper and they download at 1mbps.

We found the problem and it is on our side, not a problem with the flash upgrade. I'll write what happened here in case it can help anyone else.

  • Project Server / Project Pro = Cut and Paste official best practices to avoid corruption

It is pretty common knowledge among Project Server veterans that Cut and Paste between Project Pro files can cause corruption with the assignment table. This leads to Publish and Reporting (Project Publish)
failures. I just went through an upgrade from Project Server 2007 to 2013 and a LOT of files had to be rebuilt from scratch.
I ask my users to not Cut and Paste within or between project files. They do not always listen.
I have looked and cannot find official Microsoft text on the subject or at least some sort of official best practices doc. It would help me prevent some corruption if I had a doc with a Microsoft logo that says “It is not recommended….”
Or “If you do this you will make your admin cry…”
If this doc is right in front of me and I just missed it I apologize in advance.
    Thanks

    John --
To the best of my knowledge, there is no such Best Practice document from Microsoft.  Based on my experience with Project Server from Project Central through Project Server 2013, following are some items that can cause corruption in your project:
Use of special characters in the name of the project.
Cutting/copying/pasting entire task rows within a single enterprise project or between multiple enterprise projects.
Opening an enterprise project on your laptop while connected to a wireless network, then closing the laptop lid, walking to another room in the building when you pass from one wireless access point to another, and then opening the laptop lid again.
I learned this from one of our former clients.
Beyond this, there are some other items that will not corrupt your project, but which will cause problems with saving or publishing a project.  These items include:
Using blank rows in the project.
Using special characters in task names.
Task names that start with a space character (this sometimes happens when copying and pasting from an Excel workbook).
In both Project Server 2010 and 2013, the recommended method for resolving a corrupted project is to use the Save for Sharing feature. Refer to my directions in the following thread on how to use the Save for Sharing feature:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/projectserver/en-US/ec2c5135-f997-40e1-8fe1-80466f86d373/task-default-changing?forum=projectprofessional2010general
Beyond what guidance I have provided, I am hoping other members of this community will add their thoughts as well.  Hope this helps.

  • Extremely slow downloads from cloud

When updating and downloading from adobe cloud through the adobe viewer on iPad, the downloads are extremely slow and unstable, making updates and proofing a nightmare.
All other network funtionality is fine, it's only this proces and it's company wide, whether at home or office.
is this a universal problem? Any fixes?
    thanks!

  • Converting SUB to PUB?

Is it possible? or is it still on one of the Cisco's "feature request" lists?
Any clarification from Cisco would be greatly appreciated.

I would offer the pages and pages of SRND's for the various versions of CUCM and the design and installation guides that go along with them for you to read.  This is a basic tenant of the CUCM architecture.  Once a Publisher is installed, it is the primary node in the cluster for DB operations and other sub-system processes.  You could easily put in a TAC case and ask the same question of Cisco and quickly get an official response that matches what you got here.  There is no way to inherently flip the basic role a server provides within the cluster after it is built.  You can completely rebuild a server from scratch and designate it to be a Publisher.  If you consider that "converting a Sub to a Pub" then OK; however, the nature of your question is usually quite the contrary as folks are looking to quickly recover from a Publisher failure by designating another node in the cluster as the Publisher and it just doesn't work that way.  There are a LOT of really talented engineers on the forums including myself, William Bell, Aaron Harrison, Rob Huffman, HT Luo, TCat...the list goes on (I can't begin to name them all).  They can all vouch for my answer and the evidence is years and years of combined experience working with all facets of IP telephony and Unified Communications products.
In closing, I understand your question and why you might ask it - no issues there.  Will this be something you see in the future?  Maybe.  There's been a  lot of talk of having a backup Publisher model for years but it's never  happened.  So, in the meantime - things are what they are.
    Hailey
