Publishing infopath 2007 to sharepoint 2013

Hi,
Please let me know if we can publish infopth 2007 forms to sharepoint 2013.
Thanks

Hi,
Open the InfoPath file in either Office 2010 or 2013. You will be prompted to update the template so select the InfoPath 2010 / InfoPath 2013 template.
Change the data connections and then publish

  • Creating the site content type failed when publish Infopath form to Sharepoint 2013

I have an InfoPath 2013 form trying to publish it to SharePoint 2013.  When I click on publishing an error message appears stating "Creating the site content type failed".  I can't figure out why this
is happening, any help on this one?
Also it appears the form template is uploaded when I go to the library settings under advance.  When I see the .xsn file and click on it, it opens in InfoPath but not in sp.

Rettajm, could you please find any errors in ULS?

  • Cannot view InfoPath Form on SHarePoint 2013 since I removed SkyDrive for Business and installed OneDrive For Business

I removed SkyDrive for Business and installed OneDrive for Business on my laptop. After that, I had problems opening a Word and Excel document in a SharePoint site (SP2013). After installing Service Pack2 from Office2010, this problem is solved.
But I still have the same problem with InfoPath. Whenever I click an InfoPath form (I have InfoPath 2010 on my laptop),...
... I get the error "cannot display web page".
    When I change the URL
    ms-infopath:ofe|u|http://intranet.water-link.be/samenwerken/awwit/Autorisaties/Gebruikersbeheer/2015-02-25%20Aanvraag%20gebruikersbeheer%20voor%20Stephanie%20Geeraerts.xml

I can open the InfoPath form and read it.
Any ideas about how to fix this ? I already tried to restore the Office 2010 via Control Panel - Install Programs but without any success...

    Hi Gert,
As I understand, you can’t open InfoPath form in SharePoint 2013 unless you change the URL without “ms-infopath:ofe|u|”.
There are some reasons which maybe cause this issue, and you can try to do things below:
Access CA -> General Application Settings -> Configure InfoPath Form Service -> Check the two options in User Browser-enabled Form Templates.
Go into the registry by typing regedit from the Run line and rename the SharePoint.OpenDocuments.5 key (ex. SharePoint.OpenDocuments.5.old) under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
In library settings, click "relink documents to this library".

  • Update Column value after current item is Approved and then publish major version using Sharepoint 2013 designer workflow

    Hi,
We have a requirement to update a column value once the item has been approved.
Following settings have been made in the publishing articles list:
Require content approval for submitted items : yes
Create major and minor (draft) versions
Who should see draft items in this document library? :Only users who can edit items
Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited? : yes
I have createdatu a Sharepoint 2013 workflow to check if Approval sts of current item = 0 i.e. Approved , then check out and update the item and finally checkin the item. Everything works fine till this point except that the minor version of the item is
checked in. Due to this the updated columns are not published to others.
Also, I created a Sharepoint 2010 workflow to SET CONTENT APPROVAL = APPROVED and started this workflow from my list workflow above, but the item does not get checked-in and always shows "In Progress" status with comment "The item is currently
locked for editing. Waiting for item to be checked in or for the lock to be released.".
Please let me know where I am missing out so that once the item is approved, column value gets updated and current item is still in Approved status.
    Thanks

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to update Column value after current item is Approved and then publish major version using Sharepoint 2013 designer workflow.
You will get into this kind of Catch-22 situation trying to set the Content Approval Status in SharePoint Designer workflow:
    - You must check out the document before you can change the Content Approval Status
             - You can't change the Content Approval Status once the document in checked out
Since you set the Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited=Yes, you will need to check out the document when run the workflow on the item. But you cannot approve a document when it is checked
out. So the logic in workflow conflicts.
As a workaround, you can use the Start Another Workflow action to start the normal Approval workflow on the document.  The built-in Approval workflow can work with a document that’s not checked out.
The designer approval workflow also can work with a document that’s not checked out.
You can create two workflow using SharePoint Designer 2013.
First, create a SharePoint 2010 platform workflow.
Then, create a SharePoint 2013 platform workflow.
Then when the SharePoint 2013 platform workflow start, it will start the SharePoint 2010 platform workflow to set content approval status, then the SharePoint 2013 platform workflow will update current item value.

  • Need to upgrade service providers of Moss 2007 to SharePoint 2013

I have upgraded the Moss 2007 Content database via native approach into SharePoint 2013. I am wondering how we can upgrade the service providers of Moss 2007 to SharePoint 2013 service applications.
    Regards Restless Spirit

    Hi Restless,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to upgrade the service providers of MOSS 2007 to SharePoint 2013 service application.
Per my knowledge, you need to firstly upgrade the service providers of moss 2007 to SharePoint 2010 via database content, then upgrade SharePoint 2010 service applications to SharePoint 2013.

    Hi,
To migrate from 2007 to 2013 directly.  I believe AvePoint and possibly Axceler have such products.

  • SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013 Upgrade - Need to Goto SharePoint 2010 First?

    All,
I've seen some posts that say one can go from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013 - without upgrading to SharePoint 2010. Other posts say otherwise.
Therefore, what is indeed the answer. Ideally I'm looking to stand-up a new SharePoint 2010 or SharePoint 2013 farm then likely do a detach then upgrade of the SharePoint 2007 content databases to SharePoint 2010 or 2013.
    Thanks

If you want to do a standard SharePoint upgrade, yes you must go to SharePoint 2010 prior to 2013. If you want to use a 3rd part/in-house custom application content migration upgrade, then you can go straight from SharePoint 20xx to 2013.

  • Configuring infopath forms in SharePoint 2013

The below is the error i am getting when i am tried to publish infopath form to a sharepoint list using WCF
A query to retrieve form data cannot be completed because this action would violate cross-domain restrictions.
If this form template is published to a SharePoint document library, cross-domain access for user form templates must be enabled under InfoPath Forms Services in SharePoint Central Administration, and the data connection settings must be stored in a UDC file
in a data connection library in the same site collection.
If this is an administrator-approved form template, the security level of the form must be set to full trust, or the data connection settings must be stored in a UDC file by using the Manage data connection files option under InfoPath Forms Services in SharePoint

    Hi ,
For resolving your issue , you can do as the followings:
Make sure that 'Allow user form templates to use authentication information contained in data connection files' in Central Admin is enabled
Create a Data Connection Library in your site
Convert the Data Connection to .udcx file
Give the path to data connection library

  • Migrating from Moss 2007 to SharePoint 2013

I am reaching out here as we require some inputs around migrating the SharePoint based application from MOSS 2007 to 2013.Please find more details from below
    Requirement:
Migrating SharePoint site collection (which contains just 1 Top level site and 2 libraries with in it and no item level/library level permissions exists) which is on MOSS 2007 with size of 500GB to SharePoint 2013, hence we like to know your inputs in related
    to this
    Note:
    1) The site collection has its own separate content database
    2) There are nearly 200 thousand documents where the document with higher version is 90
    3) The documents are stored in the libraries with up to third level of folder structure
    4) The site collection is created based on custom site definition (created using visual studio)
Few things that I like to mention/ask here
    a) Having 500GB data in one single content database inj the MOSS 2007 environment does it impacts the site performance?
    b) Migrating the site collection as is  onto single content database (all 500 GB into one content database) into destination SharePoint 2013, does it will be a good practice? Hope SharePoint 2013 content database limit is 200 GB, hence moving 500GB
as is into one database will it be good practice?
    c) Does database attach and detach works for the databases which are of size 500GB?
    d) Can we do database attach and detach directly from MOSS 2007 to directly onto SharePoint 2013, without hopping onto SharePoint 2010 in between and then later to SharePoint 2013?
    e) If moving 500GB data into one content database will not be a good approach, can we split it onto multiple databases?
    f) If database attach and detach doesn’t help for databases which are of size 500GB, should we go for any tool based approach? If yes, which tool does best fit?

    a) Having 500GB data in one single content database inj the MOSS 2007 environment does it impacts
    the site performance?
Inder: Yes, it will impact site performance at large extended, recommended is 200 gb only. Check it IO of your disk to analyze performance issue
    b) Migrating the site collection as is  onto single content database (all 500 GB into one content
database) into destination SharePoint 2013, does it will be a good practice? Hope SharePoint 2013 content database limit is 200 GB, hence moving 500GB as is into one database will it be good practice?
    Inder:
Content database size (all usage scenarios)
    4 TB per content database
    Supported
Content databases of up to 4 TB are supported when the following requirements are met:
Disk sub-system performance of 0.25 IOPs per GB. 2 IOPs per GB is recommended for optimal performance.
You must have developed plans for high availability, disaster recovery, future capacity, and performance testing.

    c) Does database attach and detach works for the databases which are of size 500GB?
    Inder: Yes it does work
    d) Can we do database attach and detach directly from MOSS 2007 to directly onto SharePoint 2013, without
hopping onto SharePoint 2010 in between and then later to SharePoint 2013?
Inder: No, you need to pass through 2010 and then 2013
    e) If moving 500GB data into one content database will not be a good approach, can we split it onto
    multiple databases?
Inder: you can go with 500 gb
    f) If database attach and detach doesn’t help for databases which are of size 500GB, should we go for
any tool based approach? If yes, which tool does best fit

  • Requested registry access is not allowed when opening Infopath Forms on Sharepoint 2013

    Hello Technet Community.
I hope this will help anybody out there that experienced this problem after patching Sharepoint 2013.
I have a distributed 3-tier Sharepoint 2013 environment. All of a sudden, after the last round of patched released on 7-Jul-2014, opening Infopath forms would throw a "something went wrong" error.
Looking at the ULS logs, you would see the error "Requested registry access is not allowed.".
I have looked at tons of posts on different blogs, and all pointed out that you need to grant "read" permissions to the application pool user (in my case a service account in AD) to the registry key (and subkeys):
    HLKM/Software/Office Server/15.0
That indeed works, but it is not the proper way to do it. You should grant "read" permissions to this local group:
    WSS_WPG
And special permissions to this local group:
    WSS_ADMIN_WPG
Here is a snapshot of the special permissions needed
By the way, the WSS_PWG local group contains the app pool service account.
I do not know why patching Sharepoint removed these permissions from the registry keys, but oh well...
Anyway, Sharepoint is now happy and Infopath forms work as expected.
    Claudio

Check if your service account or infopath service account has access to server and specially registry
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/spsforum/archive/2011/11/02/quick-solution-5-requested-registry-access-is-not-allowed.aspx
To solve the issue, please follow these steps:
Use the Process Monitor to monitor the registry, once you get the following ACCESS DENIED message(You can filter the result with “Result contains Access Denied”):
    Date & Time:      <date time>
    Event Class:        Registry
    Operation: RegOpenKey
    Result:  ACCESS DENIED
    Path:     HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office Server\14.0
    TID:        2020
    Duration:             0.0000297
    Desired Access:                Read
Open Registry Editor (Start > Run, type regedit)
Open key: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office Server\14.0(got from Process Monitor from step 1)
Assign the SharePoint Timer Service account the Read permission to this key
One can open registry using regedit command. In Registery editor go to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\15\Secure\FarmAdmin
Check central  administration app pool Identity  have permission on FarmAdmin. Permission can be check on right clicking FarmAdmin --> Permissions.

  • Uploading 2010 Infopath Form to Sharepoint 2013

    Hello,
I uploaded a Infopath 2010 form from my Sharepoint 2010 website to my new Sharepoint 2013 website.
I get the following editing message under my form title: Last modified at (todays date with time) by admin (Edit this Page)
How can I deactivate this feature or is this a feature? If not what is it and how can I get rid of it ?
    Please help,
    Kind regards, Ali Tozlu

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got last modified message when you upload a InfoPath 2010 form.
How did you upload the form from the SharePoint 2010 site to SharePoint 2013 site?
Could you give more information about this issue?
I tried to reproduce the issue with the following three methods, and in the library I not got the last modified message with the form.
1.Use the “Open with Explorer” method.
I opened the SharePoint 2010 site library in explorer which contained the InfoPath 2010 form, and opened the SharePoint 2013 site library in explorer.
Then I dragged the InfoPath 2010 form to the SharePoint 2013 site, the form upload without the last modified message.
2.Upload the form using the URL
In SharePoint 2013 site library, I clicked the “New dcument”->Browser->typed the URL of the SharePoint 2010 site library which contained the InfoPath 2010 form.
The form also upload without the last modified message.
3.Downloaded the InfoPath 2010 form to local computer, then uploaded the form to SharePoint 2013 library, the form upload without the last modified message.
