Publishing Modes

Question

I am trying to get a demo published in assessment and
training modes. When I started the project, I selected all three
modes, but when I publish, it only creates a viable demo version. I
have gone the Project>Skin>Menu tab and there are no options
listed under the Modes branch....
If a project gets initiated in Demo mode, can assessment and
training be turned on later?
Also, for projects in training mode, is there a way to bypass
editing of passwords so they do not "error out"?

Welcome to our community, Bob and howdy Eric.
Actually, your verbiage is a tad on the confusing side. You
are both talking about Publishing and I believe you both are
intending to talk about
Recording
. The act of
Publishing
in Captivate refers to the action of taking a project that was
recorded or otherwise created and creating Flash based output from
it.
Bob, when you record in multiple modes, Captivate should
create multiple versions of your project. Each is saved using a
different file name. So after you record, you only edit one of
these. From what you are reporting, you are editing the
Demonstration. Once you are finished with that, you then need to
open the Simulation project and make edits to that and Publish to
create a second output.
As for converting a Demo to a Sim, it's possible but isn't
simply a "one click" operation. You have to edit the demo, remove
the demo bits and add the sim bits.
I'm not sure what you mean by "bypass editing of passwords so
the do not "error out"".
