Publishing on the web!!!

I was wondering if there was a way to get the web galleries that you can create on lightroom 2 to go onto my companies website. I am in charge of publishing the photos of kitchens to the website, and I am limited to using microsoft frontpage galleries. they are nothing special. So I noticed lightroom has some very nice options for photo galleries. now what I was wondering is if I can use those galleries and put them on frontpage or publish it to my website?

The Lightroom galleries all save out with their own Index page. So, all you need do is place each gallery in its own folder and link to the relevant Index page from your sites Home page.

If you use FTP then ftp is the protocol and 21 is the port.
Your webhoster will tell you what path to use.
You probably can read it in the FAQ/Help/Support pages where you host your website.
All difficult words are explained in manuals, dictionaries or wikis.

VIDEO CUTS WHEN I PUBLISHED ON THE WEB

My name is Dario. I am working in one society for worker's formation.
I often use Captivate CS 6.
I have one problem, when I upload one video (video lesson) in Captivate and export a SCORM document, the video published in the web, cut last second.
I don't understand.
In my project a slide's duration is same at video's duration.
Could somebody help me?

Hello Dario,
When you inserted the video, did you insert the event video or Multi Slide Synchronized Video, or is it a Video recording done in Captivate?
Do you face this issue when you publish your Project and see that locally?
Make sure that there is no effect applied onto that video like Fade out only in the Properties of that Video.
and also check from edit>Preferences> Project> start and end> fade out should not be checked.

Dreamweaver CS3 fails when publishing to the web server using

using an earlier version (7.x/8.x) works fine.
Does anybody know if there is a solution for this.. This is
urgent..
Attempting to call the 1-800-833-6687 number fails with:
recording, music, rings as though someone will finally answer, but
gets a few dial tones and connection goes silent..

If all of your credentials are correct, Server Name/IP Address, Username, Password, Root Directory and it's still not connecting, I would try toggling the Passive FTP checkbox.
If you still can't connect in DW, try downloading a third party FTP program like Filezilla (free) and uploading there. If the third party app doesn't work either, there is likely a problem with your credentials and you would need to contact your hosting provider to straighten it out.

How do i publish to the web page?

i put lion server on my MB Pro. It's up. When I http to the IP address, I get the default web page. my question is how do I publish to this web site? I've tried FTP access and it doesn't look like that's supported. I tried opening the site with dreamweaver and no joy.
I'd like to just create a web page and publish it to the mac server but i don't know how.
i guess I could create a web page in iweb and publish it to the sites\default but I was wanting to do it from a remote location. is that doable?

I suggest you upgrade to the latest iWeb version while copies are still availalbe: iLife '11 - Apple Store (U.S.). That's because it's now confirmed that iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.
In addition the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on.
HOWEVER, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still currently available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those copies still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD.

Publishing to the Web

I'm creating a form that will be accessed from the web. I've done the "Publish to Repository" and am able to bring the document up, but it does not open within the browser. This is a miner issue, but I'm looking for it to me opened within the browser. Does it really matter? Once opened, the user will then fill it in and Print it out.

The form has other issues, like the radio buttons don't function as they should (both are selectable) and I need a text box to calculate based on the checkboxes selected, But I intend on opening up new discussion for them.

This post was primarily pertaining to accessing the PDF from the web so users could pull it up from a URL and fill it out in their browser. The PDF keeps coming up in acrobat though, but I'm not sure if it's really an issue. Does it really matter whether the PDF comes up within the browser, or through acrobat? I'm starting to think probably not. I had another post pertaining to the radio issue which is handled.

How to secure my report i published on the web

Hi All -
I installed Oracle10g Reports and forms standalone on my server and successfully published all my reports on it.
Question:
Can someone pls tell me how can I secure my reports on the web. looks like anyone can just copy my link and paste it on the web broswer and can open it.
i.e. http://<server_name>:7778/reports/rwservlet?report=<report_name>.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=html&userid=<user_name>/<password>@<dbname>&paramform=yes
Also, I did save the user id and password in cgicmd.dat file. But is it possible to have the web page prompt for a user id and password for the database or something everytime i try to open the link...Please respond ASAP..it required...

It is possible to show web page where userid has to be entered before running the report. Please specify "userid=" in the URL or in the command file (cgicmd.dat) to get db prompt. For example,
http://<server_name>:7778/reports/rwservlet?report=<report_name>.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=html&userid=&paramform=yes
Other option secure it is either to use OracleAS Single Sign-On or security plugin. I am very new to building web pages and I thought I would

I can figure out what is happening. No matter what I do I can't get the 'main page' button to appear as it does in iWeb when published. Help!

How to Publish to the web using Dreamweaver

hi,
I'm a graphic designer with little code knowledge.
I keep uploading my "deploy to web" folder using dreamweaver to my web host but I keep getting and error message, I know somethings up when even dreamweaver can't preview the "main.html" file, I don't know what to do, any ideas?
(dreamweaver can only preview the "main.html" from the "run-local" folder probably because it's local).

Hello,
Your suspicion is correct. Catalyst needs to load some resources in order to run your project. For security reasons, these resources can be loaded from your computer, or from the internet, but not both.
When running on your computer, the run-local .swf loads these resources, as well as any external resources in your project (videos, swfs, etc) from your local hard drive. So it will preview correctly in Dreamweaver.
However, when you publish your website to the internet, your Catalyst .swf needs to load resources from the internet, and therefore you need to use the deploy-to-web version.

Why does the font rendering change after I publish to the web?

I created an animation in Edge Animate with four slides, using Open-Sans as the font. The font rendering looks good in Edge Animate and looks good in the local html version as well, but when I publish it to the website, the font formatting is not acceptable.

Hopefully someone else will be brave enough to respond to this, but in the meantime, the best solution I have found so far is to post the animation files to a separate directory on the server. Then pull that page in using an iframe. This way the animation is not influenced by the parent page's styling.
