Publishing rdf reports as portlets

Hi!
I have registered my Reports Server and some RDF reports. I can run them from the report definition(run, run as portlet and customize), but I can4t publish them as portlets.
Also,I have created some components for the application that contains the reports.
When I go to the Portlet Repository, I can see that components but not the reports.
Any idea??????
Adrian

Hi Renato!
Thanks for your help.
I'm using .RDF reports created with Reports Builder and publicated on a Oracle Reports Server 6i(and not Portal Reports Wizards). I don't have problems with Portal reports.
I suppose you can't copy a "RDF registered report" to another application because it has information of the Reports Server. However, I tried it and I got the next error:
Unexpected error encountered in wwsec_api_private.set_user_acl (ORA-01403: no data found
ORA-01403: no data found
ORA-06512: at "PORTAL30.WWSEC_SYSP_BRI_TRG", line 3
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'PORTAL30.WWSEC_SYSP_BRI_TRG') (WWC-41417)
Failed to save attribute P_OWNER, value PORTAL30_DEMO (WWV-13413)
Attribute ID: does not exist (WWV-12905
I don't see the "rdf registered reports" like components of my application(Navigator). Should I??????
Any idea??
thanks,
Adrian

  • How to Publish Report as portlet?

    Hi,
after creating a report within an application, how can I publish this component as a portlet. In the "Manage" Tag of the report, the option "publish as report" is not there. Do I have to create a "Provider",and if so, how can I do it?
    Thanks.

You will first have to expose your application as a provider. You can do this from the grant access tab of the application. Then you should be able to see the "publish as portlet" option for your report.

For Reports 6i integration with Oracle9iAs Portal see the Oracle9iAS Documentation Library under "Business Intelligence Services", "Oracle Reports Service", "Publishing Reports to the Web" Section 5.4 Integration with Oracle Portal. Another resource to check out is the Reports page on OTN at: http://technet.oracle.com/products/reports/ and the whitepaper "Security Tips in Oracle Reports Services Release 6i with Oracle Portal Release 3.0".
For Forms 6i, integration is accomplished at the URL level - simply create a portlet (HTML portlet, folder portlet, dynamic page portlet, etc.) that contains the Form's application URL. Users with a Java-enabled browser click on the link and the form is launched in a separate window. In theory you could copy the Forms applet tag within a dynamic page component, start it in place, and expose as a portlet, but will likely experience unacceptable page rendering performance waiting for the Forms applet to start.
If SSO is important, you can configure Forms as an external application with the Login Server using Forms dynamic start feature. Be aware that Forms is using the 'get' method not the 'post' method and that you will see the username/password in the URL (this will change in a future release).
The next generation of Forms, code named Cherokee, will provide highly interactive HTML forms directly within a portlet. Developers can use Cherokee much like they use Oracle9iAS Forms to declaratively build data entry forms that function like the Java or client/server-based forms of the past, but instead are rendered in pure HTML. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

  • Error in Custom RDF reports

    Hi-
I have installed new UAT instance, after that i have registered CUstom Top in new instance(using same procedure which i have followed for Dev).
For creting custom top i used following steps:-
    1. Create directory structure.
    2. Put necessary rdf and other supported files in the respective locations(I fact i cloned this folder from DEV).
    3. Created custom Schema owner in the DB.
    4. Registered schema in the application.
    5. Registered oracle user.
    6. Assign data group to the application
    7. Edited top.txt and added new top in that
    8. Ran autoconfig
Now when my technical team member is running any pl/sql report(using concurrent program), that is working fine.

  • How to assign  custom rdf report as  stylesheet PO communicator

R12 :How to assign custom rdf report as stylesheet PO communicator

Are you trying to have the table where the lines are always be the same size no matter how many lines are present?
    If so, you some choices:
    1) If your lines are always the same height, you might get some ideas on what to do from this article:
    http://oracle.anilpassi.com/xml-publisher-developing-reports-printed-on-pre-printed-stationary.html
    2) If your lines vary in height, then you should look into a PDF template. This will give you a pre-printed stationary look in which the drawing of boxes and lines is not affected by the data content.
    3) Other less attractive options are a) making the report in XSL-FO, and b) making a bitmapped RDF report
There is currently no solution that I am aware of for a pre-printed stationary look using an RTF template in which the data lines are of variable height.

  • Query of the complicated rdf-report in apex-report

I try to migrate rather complicated rdf report into Apex. I have sucesfully converted the reports file xx.rdf into:
    1. xx.xdo file
    2. xx.rtf word file
    3. xx.xml data file
    4. xx_S.pls and xx_B.pls as package files in database
The converted xx.rtf file is OK with all fields and images in right places In the Word I get a beautiful xx.pdf report when I start the preview using converted xx.xml file as the data file. -- The problem is just the package file with its several functions. The xml file has also many levels of data formed by tags like <list_g> etc.. Many of Word fields are CF fields from reports (xx.rdf) which now are as package functions with the same names.
Is there any direct way to generate the Apex report query whic form the xml data file? It seems impossible to start create an Apex query from the package functions and trying to embed on it all the same fields as in xml file. Is it possible to somehow use xx.xdo file and bi publisher as help.
    Thank you very much.

Okay, there is some confusion there.. You said: "In our case the customer is not willing to invest into Oracle Reports", Yet you are converting an Oracle Report file for their application, is this NOT their report file?
Then you said " Also the customer is not very eager to use its BI Publisher for Apex reports " But APEX WILL be using BI Publisher for the PDF generation of the report, do they understand having Bi Publisher running the report that APEX can get the PDF from Bi Publsiher?
Sounds like the customer is rather snarky on their requirements..

  • Publish a Report with a title by OracleAs Reports Services

    Hi folks,
I use the OracleAs Reports Services to publish my reports (10g version),
the problem is that the title output is always like this: http://mywebserver/myservletpath/rwservlet/getjobid[id]?server=repsrvr.
Is there a way to publish this report with a title on the web browser like 'MyReport'.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
If you have access to Metalink, you can use the RDF provided in the note :
Note.382952.1 RDF to Debug REP-1401 when using Oraclebarcode.jar
else, have you set the env. var. DISLAY ?
It is no more mandatory to set it for Reports but it must be set if you want to use
    oraclebarcode.jar :
Set REPORTS_DEFAULT_DISPLAY to NO and initialize DISPLAY with the address of a valid "X Display Server"

  • Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports as portlets

Please, where can I get the documentation to publish Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports as portlets. I found some information about it in metalink but the URLs are invalid.

    Hi,
Here are the steps you need to follow while building Portlets .
    1) After creating a Application,in the last step click on the Checkbox 'EXPOSE AS PROVIDER'.
If the application has already been created ,click on the same checkbox in the grant access section.
    2) When creating a component within the application ,select the checkbox 'PUBLISH TO PORTAL'.
Incase ,you have already created the component then just click on the same option in the grant access section.
Now when you want to add these portlets to be part of a page .Just select the provider(Application) and the portlets under it.
    Hope this helps.

  • SAP BI Mobile Publishing Webi report issue

    Hi All,
We want to use the BI Mobile App on IPad for Webi reports. The app is successfully implemented on the IPad, connection to BO server is done, categories are visible. But no report.
In Webi I tried to publish my report to the respective 'mobile' category, but the the 'Publish to' is missing in the menu.
Save as is possible, but it has no effect.
I checked the CMC and I have full authorisation for publishing (and anything else).
What could be the reason that the 'Publish to' menu is not visible? Is this the reason why I do not see my Webi report in the Bi Mobile app?

  • Red Blue issue with published DeskI Report in InfoView

    Hi everyone,
i'm expieriencing a strange behaviour with my published DeskI Reports.
I'm using logos in my report and they work just fine... in my full client. As soon as I publish them to InfoView and open them up in the browser, then somehow the color red and blue interchange. Red becomes blue and vice versa...
    My System consists of:
    BOE R 3.1 SP2
    Win Server 2008
    DeskI and WebI
Has anyone expirienced the same issues?
    Thanks and kr,
    Nils

    Hi Stratos,
so far everything is just fine. Hope you are doing great too.
    my IE version is: 7.0.5730.13
    Tomcat version: 5.5.20
If I click on the logos in InfoView, nothing happens.
I tested 3 different ways to implement them:
    1) via link; pictures shows up, but again with the red blue issue
    2) as an object; pictures shows up; also w/ the red blue issue
    3) inserted a cell, and pasted the picture in it, pictures shows up; also w/ the red blue issue
The strange thing is, that this issue only appears in the browser.
    Thanks,
