Publishing VI's on the Internet without open front panels

I'm using LabVIEW 6.02 and are publishing VI's on the Internet. I'm wondering if it is possible to publish VI's without having the front panels open when you are running the program?Or do they have to be open to be in memory and to be able to get updated front panels?
(I use the .snap command so it is possible to refresh and get updated VI panels.)
I also wondering if the only difference between .snap and .monitor command is that you can use the refresh command with monitor so the labVIEW display will automatic updated itself. This is not possible with the .snap command?

I've never tried to exactly what you are talking about but a similar issue comes up when printing. A front panel normally won't update unless it's open. The way to insure that it does is to have at least one property node on the routine's block diagram. When LV sees the property node, it goes ahead and updates the front panel even when it's closed.

When you move your mouse or finger on a trackpad, you control a pointer (also known as a cursor) that moves across your screen. The pointer allows you to select and interact with the various items on your screen, including selecting files, clicking buttons, dragging sliders, and so on. Sometimes the pointer may look like a hand, a crosshair, an I-beam, or another icon, depending on what you're doing and the application you're using.
For example, if you're using Safari to view this webpage and move the pointer across it, notice that it turns into an I-beam when you move it over text or a text field. When you see this, you can usually interact with the text or field below it. When you move the pointer over a button or link, the pointer turns into a hand, letting you know that you can click on the item.
Depending on what you're doing and what application you're using, your pointer (far left) may change appearances

In general, you'll need to double-click items if you want to open them from a Finder window or the desktop. You can also Ctrl click on the image, save the image to your desktop and open it in Photoshop.

I don't see any point to copying and pasting from a browser into a new file in Photoshop.
If you want to put an image onto an already open image in Photoshop, use the File > Place... command and select your saved image.

How do I use airport utillity with Time Capsule(or any airport extreme) over the internet without mobile me? iCloud has disabled this function. The mac's that I have not upgraded to icloud still see my routers over the internet with mobile me enabled. Are these routers obsolete now or will there be a firmware update to use icloud?

The created program is not performing a command I have written when it tries to connect to the internet, it must be Labview that is doing it. How do I stop this from happening?

Is there any way to power up the MacBook without opening the lid?

Does anybody know if there are key combinations (external keyboard) or a way to enable the Apple Remote to power up a MacBook?
I have an external display, keyboard, and mouse connected and would like to be able to startup the MacBook without opening the lid...

Macs have not been able to startup from a USB keyboard for nearly eight years. The very first iMacs had a USB keyboard with a power button, but since this is not a standard USB function, Apple removed this ability shortly after.
As the others have mentioned, if you have an external display, keyboard and mouse, then you can wake the MacBook from sleep. Is there a reason you're shutting down at all? I haven't restarted my MacBook twice since I've had it for the last three weeks. I just close it and it sleeps when I go to work or at night.

Sounds like the wifi isn't processing the data fast enough for video streaming. Have you tried resetting your wifi hub ? Switch it off for a couple of minutes and then restart it. See if that makes any difference.

You'd have to select in Sharing Preferences > Internet Sharing > Share your connection from ETHERNET, and to computers using AIRPORT.

How do I download off the internet without it going to textedit?

When I try to download off the internet it opens it with textedit, I know how to change what it opens with but I don't know what to change it to.

For whichever file type you are trying to download (.SIT, .MOV, .DMG) usually the software that is designed to handle that file type (which needs to be previously installed) will automatically open. It sounds like you are downloading a file type that you have no app installed to actually open.
As the post before mine replied, we would need to know the file type/extension to better answer your problem.

Try letting the router assign an IP address. In System Preferences, click the assist me button for help.
