Hi, thanks for your input - im not familiar with the gpo setting for that, only when running from a command prompt. Where would I find this ?
Looking at the gpo (I didn't do this by the way) it runs a bat file that does and xcopy of the folders that contain the normal.dotm

Hello fellow Spice folks!So in a firm of approx. 200, we use a normal.dotm file, pushed out by GPO, for company styles, AutoText templates etc. When a change to the template is needed, we (or I) update the master copy, and let the GPO copy it back to client machines.Problem with this is quite often the client version of the normal.dotm gets corrupt, grows in size from people saving data to it some how (from the 730kb template to 2 or 3mb) causing issues when opening word and pissing of the users, and in turn me ! This method seems pretty barbaric to me, given that a firm I worked with 3 years ago used the same technique to publish company styles and saw same problems.What technology / method do you employ to distribute a shared company style to your client machines ?If I like it , I want it too !

Wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. I'm used to working with stand alone desktop MS Office products.
We have a server connected to six desktop work stations. All stations have access to Microsoft Office 2013 on the server, and the printer is linked through
the server.
Users are currently accessing Word doc Documents on the shared (p) drive as templates, and then saving them with relevant file names to their area on the
(p).
Surely there is a way to save Word templates to the server, so that when someone clicks on "New" in Word our own templates are also offered automatically?

Automatically complete a word template using the oracle database

I have a Microsoft office word template and I would like to automatically complete some fields using data from my Oracle 10g database. For example where I have the text “Dear Mr.” I want to get the name of that person from a table in the database. Also by pressing a button in Oracle forms I want to open the word document to see the result. Any ideas how to do that? Thank you.

There are several ways you can go about this.
1. Most labels come with Word templates or downloadable Word templates. Simply open those in Pages.
2. Make a table with extra cells for the thin spaces between the labels and skinny those down to match the spaces. ie You have big fat cells for the actually labels and thin narrow empty ones for the gaps.
3. Make a floating Text box the size of one label, format with dummy text just the way you like it.
+Menu > Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder text+
You can now drag and drop snippets of text, the addresses etc onto those and it will replace them matching the style of the existing text.
You duplicate that text box into position of the other labels by clicking on it with the command kety held down, then drag copy it up or across with the option and shift keys held down. Fine tune the positions with:
+Inspector > Metrics > Position+

Difference between promotional macbook and the normal priced macbook?

After having shut down after installing updates, when I restarted and tried to open a word file, it started opening ALL the word docs and the only way I could stop it was by"force quit" arted and tried to open

May be it is the Resume feature.
System Preference > General > Number of recent items
Uncheck the box next to "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps".

It asked me to press any key to restart. I tried to restart it but the wheel just kept going on and on. So I shut it down and I tried to restart it. Hi,
I charged my phone until 100%. Within 4 hours, the battery showed 1% and shut down automatically. Then, when I tried to switch on it displays "Have been in meta mode, long press the power button and the normal boot". I thought that the battery is running out, so i charged half an hour. When I tried to switch on, the screen is blinking with light but no display. Now i cannot switch on my A859.
Anyone can help me on this? i just bought this phone few days before :'(

Have you updated the phone in this time?Did you root it?
You should reinstall the OS.HERE you have the official ROW(Rest of the World) international firmware(You can OTA update to the latest version,if any, after)
HERE you have the installation instructions.
Pay special attention to the SP drivers>See message 7 of http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Phones/Lenove-S650-sound-issue/m-p/1413747#M3660 ( the topic refers to a different model but the installation process is the same for all Lenovo powered phones).

Have replaced the normal.dotm in Windows 8 in %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\ and in %appdata%\Microsoft\Word\Startup. None of my customizations have come over. Keeps reverting to default. Where else can I look?

None of the above helps. Brand new computer and I want my normal.dotm to populate. Have copied it into all the know locations but when I open word it is still the default template which has none of my autotext, or toolbars.

The first path (%appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\) looks correct. I have tried this on my own computer and that works for me. Not sure what’s the root problem, but please follow my steps exactly below and try again to see if it works this time:
1.Navigate to %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\
2.Rename existing Normal.dotm to a different name, say Normal.dotm.old.
3.Copy your own Normal.dotm file to %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates\
Please then close and restart Word to see if it works this time.
