Miren yo vivo en Puerto Rico y quiero arreglar mi iPhone con la garantía que ustedes me ofrecen. Pero no se puede por que use no hace eso en Puerto Rico. Ustedes me están diciendo que si manda equipos pero no los puede arreglar. Quiero arreglar mi pantalla de mi iphone 4 que puedo hacer? me pueden ayudar o no? Español: Todos los proveedores que mencioné venden actualmente el iPhone (Open Mobile aún vende el iPhone 5 solamente y aún no han anunciado si tendrán el iPhone 5c y 5s). Creo que es injusto para nosotros los usuarios de iOS en Puerto Rico que tengamos que manejar servicio a través de los proveedores de servicio celular en vez de hacerlo directamente, de alguna manera, con Apple. Aparte del hecho de que somos un territorio de los EE.UU. y que el Apple Store en línea envía todos sus artículos que no son teléfonos a la isla, hay muchas personas que, con garantía limitada de un año activa, no podemos solicitar servicio ya que hemos comprado nuestros teléfonos fuera de los procedimientos relacionados con los proveedores de servicio celular. Es desafortunado que, teniendo el derecho de recibir servicio, no podamos recibirlo.
Me consta que es así, ya que llamé ayer al servicio de Apple Support y me lo confirmaron.
English: All the carriers I mentioned actually still sell the iPhone (Open Mobile still sells the iPhone 5 only and hasn't announced whether or not it will sell the iPhone 5c and 5s). I think it's unfair for us Puerto Rican iOS users to have to deal those issues with the carriers instead of getting support directly from Apple in some way. Aside from the fact that we're an US territory and that the Apple Store Online ships all its non-phone items directly to our island, there's lots of people like me which have iPhones that are still under the one-year limited warranty but won't be provided service because of buying them outside the regular carrier-involved procedures. It certainly is unfortunate that, with the right to get service, we cannot have it.
I know it is so, as I called yesterday to Apple Support and they confirmed it.

  • Can't pay if I'm from Puerto Rico even though PR is supported by CC?

    I'm interested in purchasing a Creative Cloud subscription but I get an error when paying because I can't edit the contents of the State dropdown box. It says to choose a valid option but there are no options from me to choose, I assume that's because my country field is set in blank. This is set as Puerto Rico in my Adobe profile page and for some reason the Creative Cloud payment page at https://creative.adobe.com/join/offer/complete can't read it. Interestingly, Puerto Rico is listed as supported to purchase a membership according to the pdf here:

    I bought my iMac and I live in Puerto Rico. A few months ago the wireless keyboard was damaged and the shop where I buy it told me that I have to address this situation directly with Apple because here there is no Apple stores. How I can replace the keyboard? With whom I have to communicate to replace the keyboard? I think that Puerto Rico should have support from USA, but I don't know how to procede. Regards.

  • Can't create iTunes acc! - Anyone else from Puerto Rico?- Cust Serv $uck$!

    I've been trying to create an account for iTunes, mostly to download the album artwork to my library. But I haven't been able because iTunes billing system will not recognize my credit card, giving me different error messages such as "information does not match with bank's records", "please give use a US issued credit card", "fields were omitted", etc. I've been trying to get some assistance from the customer service representatives but all they do is give me some canned messages and basically say that Puerto Rico is not a "state" of the USA and that we, Puerto Ricans, cannot download music from iTunes, even though I know a lot of people in Puerto Rico that can, with credit cards issued locally.
    If you are having the same problems, please post here to show them that it's not an isolated situation, even if you are not from Puerto Rico.
    This is my first post, so if I'm breaking any rules or anything similar, I would appreciate that you contact me so I get the chance to amend things.
    Here's a copy of all e-mail conversations so far with the customer service representatives, which proves that they aren't paying attention to the customer.

    What's up with you people? Stop using the same canned messages and read the whole conversation, PLEASE!
    That's almost the same answer Vanessa gave to my initial e-mail. Then, Andres apologized because Apple does consider Puerto Rico part of the United States and even includes Puerto Rico as a "state" in the fields of registration for MyInfo and iTunes.
    Puerto Rico is a territory of the USA and we, Puertorricans, are considered citizens and residents of the USA, so far that the same rates apply to the USPS Post Office, that we don't need to get through customs in domestic flights, that we don't needed a passport to get in and out of the USA until the new Patriot Act provision that started now on January 1st, 2007.
    Will someone really get to this and answer all my questions in their rightful way?
    So far the service seemed to be good because you were answering in a timely manner, but I just figured out that all you are doing is using canned messages and/or doing some "copy/paste" to your "concerned and dear customers".
    PLEASE get through with this and get me a complete answer.
    No thanks in advance, until I get what I need, especially after spending so much money on an iPod and so much time through your forums, etc.

    Thank you very much for going further in your review and reply to my initial concern.
    I was able to create an account through the MyInfo page. I was able to log in to iTunes, but it then asks me for my billing information. I'm trying to register two credit cards I have from a local bank. I was not able to register any of these. The system keeps telling me that the bank information is not the same as the one I entered. I tried several variations and none was accepted. I'm trying this with my bank statement on hand to match the information perfectly and I even called the bank to confirm if I have all the correct information, as in their systems, which they confirmed.
    It appears that iTunes will not accept my credit cards in any way, even with my bank assisting me with the different variation that iTunes may be asking for.
    Is there any way you may help me to register my credit card to my account? Because, after all, having an account created through the MyInfo page did little since I still can't download album artwork nor purchase music.
    On the other side, I tried using my Paypal account which is Verified and with a Confirmed address, but iTunes says that it cannot verify the account.
    It appears that iTunes has some kind of problem with accounts from Puerto Rico.

    Thank you very much for your reply to this concern, but this answer does not convince me since the iTunes registering page adds Puerto Rico as a "state" of the USA in the drop-in box / field, plus I know a lot of people here in Puerto Rico that have an account registered in iTunes with a credit card issued by a local bank that are able to make purchases.
    My main interest in having an iTunes account is being able to download the CD’s artwork, which, apparently, can only be done if I have an account registered in iTunes. As an option, is there any way to create an account without having "purchasing" privileges for this matter?
    I am really disappointed with the service and options restricted by Apple for this matter, specially when they have so many authorized dealers and resellers in Puerto Rico, which is not a "Channel Island" but a USA territory or property, with USA citizenship, with USA residency, USA currency, with USA post office, with USA customs, with USA courts, etc. Another question, since it was not offered as an option, if I buy iTunes gift cards, which I can buy almost anywhere here on the island, can I use it for purchasing purposes or would I not have this privilege because I live here?
    I would really appreciate further evaluation of this concern because I believe that I may indeed register at iTunes and make purchases being in Puerto Rico with a credit card from a local bank since, like I explained before, I know, personally (my brother, my brothers-in-law, etc.), a lot of people here in Puerto Rico that have an account registered in iTunes with a credit card issued by a local bank that are able to make purchases.

    To the previous user, thank you for anything you may do to help with this, but I understand that I clearly stated that I was not expecting help from a customer service representative but to get a number of people going to the same or a similar situation which may be later used as an example to Apple for them to work with this.
    Here's an update on what's being going on so far...
    Man, I am still NOT satisfied.
    I talked today with my bank regarding this situation and they told me that they have had several concerns with other customers about this and that they have done everything in their power before to make sure that iTunes works, accepting their credit cards, but that it's iTunes billing system the one with restrictions to accept these cards; in other words, that their cards are okay in their systems to be accepted by iTunes, but that iTunes refuse to accept them.
    I believe that either Apple is discriminating against Puerto Rican customers, Puerto Rican banks or they are just not willing to go the extra mile to solve this billing situation.
    So far it seems that you do not understand my principal need, which is downloading album artwork, not buying music.
    I just received my iPod and am hesitating to open it because of all of this.
    Again, service has been poor and attention to details worst.
    If there's nothing else you may do to help me, I would appreciate to be forwarded to a supervisor or manager or director to present them this concern.

    Greetings, and thank you for the help so far.
    Still, I am being unable to register my credit card. When I enter my VISA's security code (either of the two I have), which consists of three digits from the back of the card, the system gives me a message saying "Please enter a valid Security Code".
    I tried, just in case, to use a dummy security code, such as 123 or 000 or 999 and the system gives me a message saying "Credit card processing is temporary unavailable. Please try again later".
    It's funny and/or weird to me because I never get the message "Credit card processing is temporary unavailable..." when using my VISA's security code, nor I get the message "Please enter a valid Security Code" when using a dummy security code.
    What's up with that? Any further help you may provide me with this?

  • America's top number one wireless service...does not work in Puerto Rico

    Please come back to Puerto Rico. I have been a member for over ten years. I live in Ohio  and will have to relocate to Puerto Rico.  My daughter is enrolled in college to become a school teacher in Puerto Rico. My family plan is not working well in Puerto Rico. I am paying for a family plan, (here in Ohio) and my daughter has two phones in Puerto Rico. They are not working. I had called Verizon Support, and was told that the phones must be mailed back to (Ohio)  me here in the states to be reactivated. Verizon phones cannot be activated in Puerto Rico. I prefer only Verizon, which is why I have not switched to any other provider. But, because Verizon does not have towers or businesses in Puerto Rico, even though we have 4G phones, we now have no service in Puerto Rico.   I am stuck with the choices of AT&T, T-Mobile, or Straight Talk from Wal-Mart, or the WORSE are the wireless and Internet services of Puerto Rico, Claro.. Claro has outages for DAYS and still expect full payment, regardless of how many days lost for service. Claro does not credit your account even if you had an outage for a week; you are still billed for the full month.  It is difficult to avoid this company in Puerto Rico. This is a message to CEO of Verizon...please bring your business back to Puerto Rico. When people asked my daughter what service she uses, they were excited when she said that she uses Verizon. But were disappointed when she said that her account is back in (Ohio) the states, there are no stores here. I have to send (AGAIN) two new phones activated here in the states back to Puerto Rico, so that my daughter can still use our Verizon Family Plan. There is nothing Verizon Support can do.  Once I move to Puerto Rico, there will be no one to send our phones to in (Ohio) the states to reactivate for our Verizon Family Plan. The phone service works for about three or four months, (in Ohio) than there is no service at all. Please bring America's top number wireless service back to Puerto Rico. Or Make some kind of deal with the wireless tower owners in Puerto Rico, so people that even visit Puerto Rico can use your phone service. Thank you for reading my request

    Our home line has had no dial tone for two days now.  When a repair was requested, we received a commitment of 8/8.  That timing was not sufficient.  I updated the repair request on line indicating that we needed the repair by today.  I called this morning and a recording told me that Verizon was committed to repair the phone by 8pm tonight.  Well, 9:30pm and no Verizon.  I tried calling with my cell phone and sat on the phone for over 30 minutes.  Either no one was home or it was past business hours.  In any event, here we sit with no home phone service.  We are elderly.  My husband has a heart condition.  I am grateful for our cell phones, not Verizon.  What if we had a real emergency and didn't have cell phones?  This is not customer service.  We never even received a phone call or an email as we requested on the repair status.  So sit another day or maybe more.  Frustrated in NJ.  P.S. Our experience with My Verizon is it sends you round and round and round with no real solution to your problem.  Any suggestions? Thanks.

    This summer I start medical school in Puerto Rico, and I plan on buying a MacBook Pro and an iPad.  I there are several authorized service providers in PR, including one in the town I will be attending medical school. I would be purchasing it all here in Indiana, but I wanted to know if I would be able to use my AppleCare at the places in PR.  I imagine that the AC for the computer would be no problem, as that service is worldwide, but what I'm really curious about is AC+.  If I drop my iPad and it breaks, will my AC+ be honored at the PR service provider?  Or will I have to send it back to Indiana and have my family take it in?
    I searched, but most questions concerning PR seemed to be years old.  Maybe there's an update.

  • Itunes festival viewing Puerto Rico

    Why does Apple advertise the iTunes Festival to Apple TV users in Puerto Rico, and then does not allow them see see the festival.

  • My iPod touch 4G home button is broken, but i live in Puerto Rico, what should I do?

    I got my iPod touch 4G for almost 4 months. Apparently I got one year of warranty from Apple. My iPod touch home button do not respond very well. I keep pressing it a lots of times but this don't resolve anything. I live in Puerto Rico and when I was doing the waranty process in the Apple.com, when I put my adress, it said to me that the type of service that I'm trying to do, doesn't work in my location. This is the first time that I try to do this and I don't know what to do. This is not my first iPod, and everytime I bought one, thay say that I got one year of warranty with Apple.   • Can somebody from Adobe help me get CC? I live in Puerto Rico.

    I have read a solution to this problem here. The rep who helped other people is named Beverly.  Apparently I need Adobe's help to change my country to "USA" instead of Puerto Rico in my ID because otherwise I can't buy a CC subscription neither by phone nor by the website, even though I've bought CS's three last versions with no problems before. I've called and called and chatted and chatted. No one was able to help me, and honestly, I can't understand why Adobe doesn't fix this problem already. I even gave my license number to one of the phone reps who couldn't even find me otherwise, and then she found me. It's as if Puerto Rico, which BTW, is part of the USA and Adobe should know this by now... didn't exist, because I couldn't either buy CC through their Latin American website (nor even under their "Caribbean" classification).

    I suspect its due to Puerto Rico not being on the list of supported countries yet. Please go to http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html --> In what countries can I buy a membership to Creative Cloud?  .

    With Apple Pay, you need to have a US credit card or debit card to use it with Apple Pay. FirstBank is a participating issuer but the would need to be issued in the US. Take a look at the articles below for more information.

    Expanding on what lllaass said to make sure it's clear, the US Apple Store will ship only with in the 50 states. They will not ship to Puerto Rico. You'll have to buy from an Apple dealer in PR. You can search for dealers here:
