Pull DP doesnt seem to start a download
OK, So I am having some weird issues with few random packages on random DPs.
I build a package and it distributes to all DPs fine. But there are certain packages that just will be in 'in progress' for a couple of days and fail.
So I start looking into logs. The pullDP.log on the DP has
Start Redistribute package SPS00100 version 1 PullDP 4/24/2015 3:55:14 PM 3900 (0x0F3C)
ExecuteJob (2-InProgress) SPS00100.1 for package SPS00100, version 1 PullDP 4/24/2015 3:55:14 PM 6428 (0x191C)
and that's it. I looked into data transfer service log. that continuously has
CDTSJob::HandleErrors: DTS Job '{99EBFADB-3AA7-464D-B85B-9E6FB694D616}' BITS Job '{AC716792-A119-4E3B-8559-571B67D5953B}' under user 'S-1-5-18' OldErrorCount 35 NewErrorCount 36 ErrorCode 0x80004005
So I deleted that bits job, deleted that package distribution from the faling DP. waited for the distmgr.log to say it deleted all the files and redistributed the content again. But now I don't get a BITS job anymore. distmgr.log and pkgtransfer.log
seem to show all the normal stuff, however the DP does not seem to be downloading the package. and pulldp.log doesn't have the started download line, and it just hangs there with no action.
This only happens for few packages. seeming to be random and on random servers, same packages work on one server, but not on another. and so on.
Anyone have any idea? I really don't want to keep remaking packages.
I found a stupid work around of deleting the package, waiting like 10 min, deleting all bits jobs, rebooting the server and redistributing, that works 90% of the time. This is not a solution, I cannot do this every time a package is problematic.
Anyone have any idea?
There are a lot of known issues which have been addressed in recent Cumulative Updates. If you aren't already on R2 CU4, I'd suggest getting fully patched.
Does switching it to a normal DP, waiting for it to reinstall, and then switching it back to being a pull DP end up fixing the content?

Doesnt want to start after downloading a MacoS Update.
Hello, Today i downloaded a MacOSX update I dont remember the number, at first it didnt want it to be istalled, so I pull it from the trash can to the desktop and installed it. My mac need it a restart, and after that it stayed in the apple background, but doesnt let me in the system, what can I do???

trying to download an instal ios 7 on my iphone 4s, after half an hour into the download it came up with a message saying failed and everytime i try again the download doesnt start. tried downloading from itunes aswel but not working. anyone know why?

I purchased a movie yesterday and started the download. The download seemed to hang up at about 90%. Finally, it showed that it was ready to watch, but the movie will not play. Download is apparently corrupt. How do I get a working version?
Depending upon what country that you are in (films can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the film from your iPad and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app (or the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes).
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download films, or if you have problems with the re-downloaded version, then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page. -

My installation of photoshop elements 13 was interrupted, I can't seem to get it restarted, so I restarted my computer and am still unable to start the download again. What do I do to get the download restarted?

For some reason, iOS 6 has decided to download on my iPod Touch through WiFi. I didn't request it, nothing is set to automatically update in the Touch settings, or iTunes. It seemed to start downloading when I synced the Touch. I've disconnected the Touch from WiFi temporarily. How can I cancel the download, or will there be an option when it's done downloading to cancel the install?

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -

Given that it probably hasn't been used in years, it's likely that the battery is shot and in need of replacement. However, the damage may be more than that, since it won't even power on, so it's hard to say for sure.

Labview doesnt seem to be re-using memory
I have a high speed hardware timed DAQ program (Labview 6.02) that gathers syncronous counter/timer information for a short period of time. Due to the shear volume of data and the speed at which it is gathered It is buffered and then saved to disk. Upon completion of the acqiusition the data is pulled from the disk and processed (x-Y graphs, FFT etc). If I try and do another acquisition the program doesnt seem to re-use the memory utilised for data and for displaying it in graphs etc. So after a few acquisitions the whole thing can grind to a halt. I have to close the application and Labview and restart it so that the acquisition will run properly and then the things starts all over again. How can I get labview to sort of dump

This option means that after each subVI call, even those inside of
loops, LV will deallocate all temporary memory buffers. It has no
effect on unwired shift registers, controls and indicators or on the
results of the subVI. Without this option turned on, LV will leave the
buffers allocated waiting for the subVI to be called
again. So, this is
the typical space versus time tradeoff. This has no effect on which VIs
are loaded or unloaded.
Now that you know what it does, this feature can lead to fragmentation
of the memory manager since it so frequently allocates and deallocates
the blocks of memory. There is nothing wrong with the feature, but most
memory managers can't deal with this and with certain VIs, it can result
in more memory being used than when it is turned off.
Often the "memory problem" is better solved by getting rid of global
variables and local variables and making more subVIs. It is hard to get
more specific, but the user manual used to have a chapter on performance
that explained some of it.

The fact that cleaning worked once still suggests a dirty lens. Try this alternate cleaning method: Use a credit card, or something similar, and wrap it with an LCD cleaning cloth type product (basically a thin micro-fiber type cloth). Gently slide the "cleaner" in and out a few times in the left side of the optical drive opening. Make sure you can hold onto the cloth so it doesn't get stuck inside the drive. This cleans the lens, which may be all you need. -
My iPhone 5 suddenly started re-downloading all previously deleted emails from my POP accounts
Yesterday, my iPhone 5 started re-downloading all previously deleted emails from my POP email accounts. I use the native Mail app and have three POP emails set up on my phone. The number of messages downloaded across all of them is over 1,000 so far and date back over several months. One of these is a Yahoo account, the others are work email accounts provided by two different hosting companies. I have not changed anything on any of these three accounts at the server/hosting level. I also run an IMAP account on my phone, which has not been affected, so this is obviously a POP-only issue. I started to delete the messages only to discover that older messages were downloaded in their place. There appears to be a cap of 250 messages downloaded at a time, but there's no way to change this in the phone's settings (this used to be a feature, but disappeared some time ago).
I'm on iOS8.3 (upgraded a month ago with no affect on email). I have not changed any of my phone's email settings, so I don't understand why this has happened out of the blue. I have checked the phone's email settings and there doesn't seem to be a way to limit the number of messages downloaded.
Does anyone know:
a. why this has happened, and
b. how I get it to stop?
Thanks!Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Plug the iPhone in with the Wall Charger. Then while plugged in do the Reset again, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone Restarts. This usually begins to happen in less than 20 seconds time.
If you this does not work you can try to Restore the Firmware on your iPhone. If you decide to do this, connect your iPhone to your computer with iTunes open. Hold both the Home and Power buttons until the iPhone is detected by iTunes in Recovery Mode, this takes about 20 seconds time. Restore your iPhone.
If this does not work, you can try to Restore the Firmware on your iPhone in DFU Mode. Connect your iPhone to your computer with iTunes open. Hold both Home and Power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, release the Power Button and keep holding the Home Button until iTunes recognizes the iPhone in Recovery Mode, about 20 seconds more time. Restore the iPhone.
If this does not work and you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage take your iPhone to Apple for resolution of the problem. -
im trying to update IOS version, have done everything as recommended. however, it doesnt seem to be working, when i try to buy a tune i am again prompted to update to new IOS version... can anyone offer any advice

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

When I download an attachment it starts to download then it disappears. Whats happening?
When I try to open an attachment in my email the download box pops up and it starts to download, you can see whats downloading then when it completes its download it disappears and the download box is left completely empty. Whats happening!!?? I've tried downloading a few different attachments and it keeps happening.
