Pull up conversion to resolve sync issue

I have a sync problem on a feature film I am working on. It's a musical. I recorded the songs before the shoot in Logic Pro and produced BWF rough mixes at 48k/16 bit. During the film edit there seems to have been a pull down conversion because the film audio now drifts ahead of my original multi-tracks. A colleague has tested the required pull up in Pro Tools (it's NTSC to Film) and this put the audio perfectly back in sync. I don't have PT.
Is it possible to load the multis into STP and do a pull up conversion and then drop them back into Logic? I am new to STP. From what I've read you can pull up/down within a project but it doesn't export the pull up/down. I don't know how but I believe i could do a time stretch - I'm not keen on this as I understand it will introduce audio artefacts. And from what I've read there's no preset for timestretch so I'd have to do key in the % for every file (one song has over 80 tracks of audio!)
(just in case you're wondering.... for complicated underscoring reasons I need to sycn the multis rather than mix the tracks out of sync and do the pull up of the mixes at the end)

Video is is 24 fps H.264. It's locked off - they're grading it now so there will be no tinkering with time in that realm.
Audio that went into FCP (rough mixes)was 48 k, 16 bit BWF. The Logic session was set to 24 fps before these mixes were bounced out. The Logic session itself is 24 bit. These original mixes when dragged back into the session they originate from are in perfect sync. When the same mixes are dragged into the OMF derived from the movie my mixes are slower than the film. The OMF audio and the audio embedded in the QT are in sync. So I am slower than the film.
As I mentioned I am working in Logic Pro- The film was edited in FCP.
I don't know the sequence settings in FCP but my editor says she was aware of the quirk where the sequence settings and default settings might be different such that the audio might be pulled up or pulled down. (Despite her protestations I'm pretty sure that's what happened - but she is very experienced). I actually know nothing about FCP except what I've read on the web.
My editor might suspect I am the culprit. She claims that the mixes I originally gave her are 'at 30 fps.' Maybe someone out there can clarify something for me. My understanding is that BWF are time stamped but not with a frame rate. ie; the embedded TC is just a time (as in hours:minutes:seconds:milliseconds)? Even my BWF had an embedded TC of 30 fps we have established that the correct amount of pull up to put my out-of-time audio in sync with the movie is .1%. That's NTSC to film - not the 4% required to correct a 24 to 30 fps discrepancy.
My original question stands btw. I'm a STP newbie too and I'm wondering if I can do pull ups in STP. If so how do I export this audio out of STP?

How do I resolve syncing issues between Windows 7 64-Bit and my IPhone 4?

I keep getting an error when trying to sync my iPhone 4 to my new computer.
The error reads as follows:
This iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes.
I cannot tell you how fed up I am with this error and Apple's lack of willingness to resolve the issue without purchasing support.
Does anyone have a fix for this issue to include step by step instructions? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thnak you.

I had the same problem. The following link solved my problem, in particular "Step 5". The regestry entries did the job. I think there is a problem with the iTunes 64-bit installer.

ICal refuses to finish 'restore' ; trying to resolve sync issues.

trying to fix sync issues.
using missing sync.
everything worked perfectly for a ling long time before i thought it'd be cute to go in and put birthdays into addressbook, and select the option in iCal preferences to add those events to my calendar.
EVERYTHING has gone to **** since then.
the missing sync guys recommend i backup and restore addressbook and iCal.
addressbook did fine.
when i select the saved ICal database file (icbu) from my desktop, it will not complete.
what gives?
i'm trying to do this to fix another problem.
its like every step is making a new issue.
i am getting close to the edge guys...
pleaes help.

(overall problem is that i cannot even get missing sync to overwrite my blackberry 8830 now.
for months, iCal, Addressbook, and Tasks synced perfectly.
all was well until i screwed with this stupid Birthday feature.)

How do I resolve sync issues between mac address book and iPhone

I have iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1) and OSX Lion, ITunes 10.6 and use iCloud.
In Itunes I do not have 'Sync Contacts ticked' as it says my Contacts are being synced over the air. If I put contacts on either device then they do not sync with the other devise.
If I do tick this box then my iPhone contacts duplicate but the contacts on Address book that are not on iPhone do not transfer and contacts on iPhone do not go to address book!
Any ideas with any settings etc. that I can do to resolve this. It all used to work fine before iCloud but even after turning iCloud off this no longer works.

On that PC, launch iTunes. From the menu bar top of your screen click Store / Authorize This Computer.

To resolve this issue, delete the backup in iTunes Preferences and then create a new backup. If you would like to retain a copy of the backup, you can move the backup file to a different location. The backup is located in the locations below.

To delete the backup file:

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Sync Issue for Outlook 2003 Resolved

First let me say that this has been a bit of a laborious project. I was able to successfully resolve the sync issue on my connection and was replicated on a second machine and second iPhone using the same process.
NOTE: This worked with the following: Windows XP Pro, (Version 2002 SP2) and Outlook 2003. Your results may vary!
With your iPhone NOT connected, do the following:
Go to the Microsoft Website under Downloads and be certain you have the latest Service Pack 2 for Outlook and all other Windows security updates downloaded installed on your machine, then (IMPORTANT!) RE-START your machine!
In Outlook:
1. Go to Tools/Options/Other/Advanced Options/COM Add-Ins
2. There should be two add-ins listed:
- iTunes Outlook Addin
- Outlook iTunes Sync Addin
3. Be sure the boxes are checked for both items.
4. Then under Help/About/Disabled Items, highlight and enable the iTunes add-in, if it is still disabled.
5. Close Outlook, and RE-START your computer.
(Seems these add-in gets written into the Windows registry as well as the Outlook add-in manager.)
6. Open Outlook and check Help/About/Disabled Items and the COM Add-ins to be sure the add-ins are recognized.
Connect your iPhone and sync. Once the sync process is complete, check your phone for any/all synced items...
Again, once this process worked on my machine, and was replicated on a second machine (Same OS, and Outlook version) so I know it can be done successfully without help from Apple tech support.
I'd be curious to hear from anyone trying this process to see if this works in a different setting, (i.e. OS version, etc.)

I tried this, including rebooting my iPhone prior to resyncing it with Outlook, and there was no joy.
My symptom is that I can enter calendar items on the iPhone, and they appear on Outlook, but I can't enter calendar items on Outlook and have them appear on the iPhone.
My suspicion is this: I have multiple email accounts feeding into my Outlook account. I think that may have something to do with it. I've been waiting and reading the forums here, because I've been concerned that the iPhone support calls would be flooding in. But this is starting to be pretty annoying, so I'm going to try to call Apple and see if they can help. (And also with the "no additional mailbox" problem, which is also pretty durn annoying.)
If I find an answer, I'll post.

Like many others, I got the new iPad 3 and couldn't sync all of my photos. The best i got was 1,000 out of 15,000 to work. Today Apple released iTunes 10.6.1.7 and said the syncing issue was resolved. I erased my ipod cache and hit sync. Still locked.

It looked like it was working, but just like before iTunes locked. This time at 2,244 of 15,000. Anybody have an idea of how to fix this?

What's the capacity of your iPad?
iTunes needs up to 3x of the actual size of the files you want to sync during the sync process. And syncing 15.000 photos could cross the size of the available free space on your device.
Don't forget that the pictures are now optimized for the retina display, so the size increases for each of them.

Multiclip sync issues - resolved???

Searching through the threads here I've seen a few different posts regarding the loss of sync in multiclips when moving media files around. Unfortunately all of the threads are locked and can't be posted to. None of them have been answered!
I've just run into a similar situation and am trying to find out if the recent update to FCP 6.0.3 has fixed this. My problem, which is 100% repeatable is as follows:
Create a new project/sequence.
Capture 2 camera tapes from the event (1 w/ timecode, 1 via a analog to digital converter, ie no timecode)
Review each captured clip and insert markers where I want to use scenes.
Create subclips from each marker I want to use
Mark In Points in each subclip to use as sync points (clapper board in my case)
Select the corresponding subclips from Camera A and Camera B and Make Multiclip using In Points for sync.
Place multiclip in timeline.
Play sequence and use keypad to insert camera changes.
Save file.
At this point everything is fine. My sequence plays back with all of my angle changes.
Now if I quit FCP and use the finder to move one of the captured files to another hard drive everything goes to sh*t. When I reopen the project, FCP will ask me to reconnect to the offline media file. No problem; use the dialog box to locate the moved file and reconnect. Now when I go back to the sequence and play it, the 2 camera angles are completely out of sync with each other. I'm not talking a few frames, its usually several seconds at least.
I've done this several times, and it always happens. FCP absolutely cannot maintain multiclip sync info when a media file is moved.
Just as a point of further frustration, I know someone is going to respond that I should use the Media Manager to move media files around. This is also broken. That's how I originally discovered the problem. I went to create an archive of the whole project. My destination was an external hard drive. When opening up the newly created project, I saw the same out of sync multiclips. My guess is because the media files were now on a different hard drive.
Also, try to roundtrip a multiclip sequence to SoundTrackPro - totally hosed when it comes back into FCP. Same out of sync issues.
So something is definately problematic here. I'm still on 6.0.1 and can't risk updating while this project is in process. But I would like to know if this problem still exists in 6.0.3.

Chris-- I am having the same problem-My media went offline-- tried reconnecting and get this message stating that the attributes of the original clip have changed; mark in and out-- then when i reopen my sequence certain clips that are multicam have suddenly got different ins and outs-- have no idea what is causing this but here is some advice someone posted on another forum:
I do almost nothing but multi-cam editing, and have for the last 8 to 10 years, but the overwhelming majority of my work is with matched time-code cameras. I have worked with in-points on FCP and have not had these problems, but I don't do it that often, so I don't feel comfortable telling someone that he's not having the problems he is having.
Jasper - when making multi-clips with in-points are you using master clips or sub-clips? Also are you sure you haven't seperately used the same source clip and thereby changed the in-point reference? These would be the first 2 things i would test when trying to figure out why the multi-clips were not functioning. Also I will say the a sure way to get corrupted multi-clips is to use a clip that has time-code breaks within it - something that shouldn't happen, but that actually happens all to easily in FCP.
Finally I can offer this work around, change the AUX time-code on the clips and sync with them. FCP makes it incredibly easy to change the time-code on a captured clip, and that includes 2 optional AUX time code tracks that are available for each clip. Find a sync point on each of the clips that you want to use in a multi-clip, go to Modify / Time Code - check the AUX TC 1 box and enter a common time code in the window - I would recommend that this time code be a copy of the actual time code of your most important clip, but anything will do - and then when making a multi-clip choose to Sync with Aux 1. (just don't uncheck the box containing your source time-code or you'll loose it - leave both boxes checked) - this extra step does not take long and should alleviate your problems.

Outlook 2011 and mountain lion calendar sync issues... resolved (kinda)

Okay... I never really post to these boards, but I'm fairly ticked off that OS X keeps tampering with MS Office and it's syncing with iTunes and, ultimately, my iPhone. Apple support tried to push me onto the iCloud, but I'm not going to use that crappy feature. After many hours of trying to fix the calendar sync issue with MS Office 2011, I found a workaround:
1. Get the apple reminders set up to recognize the OS X Calendar program.
2. Confirm that your Outlook calendar data is recognized in the OS X Calendar program (it was always there for me)
3. Install MS Office 2008 (Entourage) --- You don't have to use it, but the older program still syncs with Mountain Lion.
4. Sync your iphone with itunes and ensure that your Calendars are erased (uncheck the Calendar sync box).
5. Click on the "Replace Information on this iPhone) for Calendars.
6. Re-sync the iPhone with iTunes.
7. The data should go up with no problem.
IF you are still having problems...
1. go to OS X "Calendar" and Add a new calendar called "Home".
2. move the Outlook data to the Home calendar (just drag and drop).
3. Repeat steps 4-7 above.
Since I've done these changes, everything directly syncs.
Hope this helps, and don't lose faith. MS will come up with some type of patch.

Outlook 2011 is not compatible with iCloud, it won't work and your 'workaround' may affect iCloud clients on the same account.

I am unable to update software or backup my devices. Apple techs unable to resolve the issue after hours of phone support over the course of several months.

I am unable to update software, transfer purchases, sync, or backup any of my 3 devices. I have tried using iTunes on other computers, uninstalling iTunes with tech support walking me through, using a different user on my computer, deleting photos off of my devices, using an ethernet cable instead of connecting with wifi, uninstalling my antivirus software and firewall, and had my laptop examined by several techs who all determined there was nothing wrong with the laptop that explains what has been going on. I am also unable to view or download purchases on iTunes. Clicking the Itunes store results in a blank white screen. I get various error messages, including -9886. Apple techs and now the engineers have been unable to resolve the issues thus far, even after several hours of phone support over the course of several months (about 5 hours this month alone). I have done everything they've suggested, even when they've suggested I do something over again, and I'm becoming frustrated. I would greatly appreciate any advice you can offer. Thank you in advance for your time.

Sorry for hijacking your thread as put by Dahveed. However I have resolved my issue so I thought I'll share it with the rest of you.
I checked for the error 3194 in youtube and I found some good videos that tell you how to resolve the problem. The issue I was facing was the actually (I know because I have resolved it now) the communication between my computer and apple server which can be fixed as following (if you are using windows):
There is file in following directory:
C:\Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
The file normally has no extension and it is in file format. You need to open it and make sure that every line that has apple server id starts with "#". In my case one of the line started directly with the ip address and then gs.apple.com.
Perform your restore/update after that and hopefully it should be resolved (mine did).

Unable to load provider data, syncing issues with update 9.1

Since the install of iTunes 9.1, I have had to reinstall it twice and still get the same issues:
1) Says "iTunes can not sync - disabled on this computer"
2) iTunes was unable to load provider data from sync services.
So I can sync songs, videos, and apps. But can no longer sync calender, contacts, etc... This all started right after the last update, up until then it was fine and no other program changes have been made on the PC.
Reinstalling / repairing iTunes does not resolve the issue. Any ideas on this?

You are not alone that is the same issue I get. It then tells me it can not save the backup to my computer. *** is going on with the 9.1 update!

IPod Touch 4th Gen Sync Issue

I got an iPod Touch 4th gen last week. I started setting it up the other day and successfully sync'd one album even after the latest iOS update. I ripped a few cd's and wanted to add those to the iPod as of today. However, I no longer able to sync anything. I'm using the latest iTunes software for Windows 64 bit. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. I followed the troubleshooting steps @ http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 to no avail. When I connect the iPod to my pc, I get a sound that it connects, but it just is not recognized by iTunes. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? I also don't see a way to restore the backup from the iOS update.
Note: This is my first Apple product so maybe I'm missing something obvious.
