Pulseaudio stops when in TTY

Dear Arch Community,
I'm running gnome3, but since I've setup kmscon as tty replacement I find myself using vim in TTY rather than gvim in gnome3, as there are less (no) distractions.
However, whenever I switch to TTY (eg. Strg+Alt + F2) mplayer stops playing, "audio device got stuck".
Switching back to gnome, it continues playing.
I'm not quite sure where to look and how to prevent this problem.
It seems that 'someone' stops the pulseaudio-daemon when switching to TTY.
Any hints?
I can't just start another pulseaudio-session in tty as it can't connect to dbus, which relies on X11 apparently.
Against Arch linux philosophy of staying in control, I feel like i've lost it.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue after my last upgrade. I have two X sessions and when I switch between them sound stops in one and starts in other. I don't think it is a bug, but a feature .
It has another side effect - MPD is not playing in background. The system wide pulse is not a solution as it is strongly discouraged by upstream and has a lot of limitations.
I tried to search the web about it and found that this behaviour can be achieved (and changed) with polkit.
I found this command to enable inactive sessions to play sound:
sudo polkit-action --set-defaults-inactive org.freedesktop.hal.device-access.sound yes
Unfortunately I didn't find polkit-action in my current Arch installation. Seems like it is replaced by pkaction.
pkaction gives me a list with rules, but there is no org.freedesktop.hal.device-access.sound
Now I have no more ideas where to look forward. Please help

I have an application running in browser and as air(flex3/flex4.1 + air 2.6). Now we noticed the problem that our application upload stops when the tab, in which the application is running during a browser session, becomes inactive. In the air version similar happens when we minimize it to taskbar. Anyone has some thoughts on how to prevent that flashplayer(10.1) behavior? In both versions the calls are handled async. and the swf, of the browser version, is embeded using swfObject. I know streaming is a seperated topic, but it never appeared to me that a youtube video stoped loading while i switched tabs, so there should be a workaround.

Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent that behavior in the browser.
Does it really stop? Or just slow down?
In AIR, you might be able to set the backgroundFrameRate in a Flex app.

Flash html5 - How can i make an internal movie clip slow down and stop when it get to a certain frame?

I am creating an automotive braking system using flash and have a wheel turning. I want the wheel to slow down and stop after the brake pedal is pushed at a certain frame. I know I could do this with frame by frame animation but was hoping there was a short cut - javascript?? If not the slowing down portion then is there code for just making the internal movie clip (wheel turning) to stop when it gets to a frame.? Thanks

[SOLVED] screen brightness too low when switching tty

I have autologin enabled in LightDM, so when I boot I am taken to my MATE desktop automatically. This happens in the default tty (tty1).
Sometimes I want to switch to a different virtual terminal (e.g., by pressing Control+Alt+F2) without ending my session in tty1. However, most of the time when I do this I find that the brightness in the new tty (e.g., tty2) is so low that I can hardly see the login prompt. When I switch back to tty1 the brightness in the X session is fine. Switching back to tty2 I see that it is still dim. Hitting either the brightness-up or the brightness-down (!?) key on the laptop causes the brightness in tty2 to jump to normal.
Does anyone know how to fix this so that when I switch to a different tty the brightness is at a reasonable level right away? I am on a Lenovo Thinkpad T520 (no Nvidia, just integrated Intel graphics) in case it matters.

As an experiment, I logged in to non-graphic mode in tty1 (by adding "systemd.unit=multi-user.target" to grub2's kernel line), then tried switching ttys. No brightness problems!
As another experiment, I allowed regular boot to my desktop in tty1 (LightDM -> MATE autologin) but then got out of graphical mode by opening a terminal emulator and typing "sudo systemctl isolate multi-user.target". Once I had a cli in tty1 I then tried switching ttys. Again, no brightness problems.
I can conclude that when switching tty's, the new tty is too dim only if I have a graphical session running in tty1. Therefore, I don't think this is a kernel problem. Seems that something related to lightDM or X or MATE running in tty1 is causing the problem.

Sorry our primary database file structure is different from stdby, we used db_file_name_convert in the init.ora, it look like this:

Is there any thing wrong in this parameter.
I tried this parameter before for cloning using rman backup. This din't work.
What exactly must be done? for db_file_name_convert to work.
Even in this case i think this is the problem its not converting the location and the logical halts.

and primary has '+OT06_DATA/OT06TSG001'
so we are using db_file_name_convert init parameter but it doesn't work.
Is there any thing particular steps hiding to use this parameter? as i tried this parameter for rman cloning it din't work, as a workaround i used rman set new name command for clonning.

:You need to recalibrate a device every few months. Let it completely run down before charging.

A have created a class to display ads in a webrowser. A request is executed every 20 seconds.
I display the ads in a panorama page
but when i go to a detail page my banner continu to do request.
The object isn't destroyed when the page change ?

No. You should call the stop method on that timer to ensure it stops when you want it to. It sounds like there's a handle somewhere on that timer that hasn't been released (perhaps via page caching) so that's why the timer hasn't gone out of scope.

Sustain won't stop when using Logic's Plugins

I have a CME VX80 and using it with Logic 9.01. I'm getting the sustain staying on all the time once I press the pedal. If I change the polarity then the sustain stops when I press the pedal.
This seems to happen only with Logic's virtual Instruments. If I use external plug-ins like Ivory Piano the sustain works correctly. If I use Korg's M1/T1 virtual intruments, the pedal works correctly.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening? Any resolutions?

It was the pedal itself. I bought a new M-audio pedal and everything is fine now.
