Purchase and update has missed

I have installed on my iPhone 4 games and updates for such programs like TalkingTom, Office2 Plus, etc. and then when I bought a new iPhone 4s - I reinstalled everything over iTunes on iPnone 4s - but all my paid updates have not been installed then. What should I do? I do not want to pay for it twice ?

This worked for me!
I realize the applications are all part of what comes with the OS except for the ones that I added in on my own.  The applications I added are easy for me to have again if I require to do so. The configuration and the data itself is what is most important for me.  Everything else is easily available and easy to install if need be.

  • HT1918 My husband's iPhone4 uses one apple id for purchases and updates, but another is listed in the App Store. How do I reconfigure his phone to only use the apple I'd and password that is used in the the "featured" section of the App Store?

My husband's iphone4 seems to have 2 apple ids. The one listed in the featured section of the App Store is the correct one. The one that asks to be signed into for purchase and updates is also mine, and the incorrect one. Hence, our devices are linked. How can I remove my apple Id from his phone so that there is no connection between the two?

I think it may be because he got his phone first and not seeing a future issue, I set his phone up to my already existing apple Id used for my iPod. If I connect his iPhone to our pc, can I create his own apple id account?

  • HT201209 I have £15 on my itunes showing on my laptop. I have made purchases, and it has taken the money from bank account, and not from the £15, which still sits on my account with no deductions. Don't understand why. Can anyone help me please ?

I have a £15 on my iTunes account, from a gift voucher. I have made purchases, but my account remains at £15, and the money instead has been deducted from bank account. Why is not taking the money from valide gift voucher.

First, I presume you're buying for yourself, not gifts for others, correct? Gifts cannot be purchased using a credit balance. If you are buying for yourself, another user in the forums posted this as the reply from the iTunes Store when this issue was brought up. Perhaps it will help you. Regards.
I'm sorry you weren't able to make a purchase using your store credit. To purchase items on the iTunes Store with your store credit, your account information in your user profile needs to be corrected. I'll walk you through this process to get you back up and running in no time.
    1) Visit the My Apple ID website at:  http://appleid.apple.com
    2) If the site is not displayed in your preferred language, click the Change Language link in the upper-right corner, type the name of your language in the field that appears, then click the Save button.
    3) Click the "Manage your account" link.
    4) Type your iTunes Store account name (which is your Apple ID) in the Apple ID field, type your password in the password field, then click the Sign In button.
    5) Click "Addresses" in the column on the left. If you have multiple shipping addresses, remove any out-of-date or duplicate addresses by clicking Delete. Also, make sure the state or province field is filled out correctly for each address. To edit an address, click Edit. Edit all of your shipping addresses and make sure the appropriate state is selected in the State drop-down menus.
    6) Now click "Phone Numbers" on the left. The area codes should be in the area code fields and the phone numbers should be in the phone number fields. If an area code is missing, or if it is in a phone number field, your account information may not save properly.
    7) Make any other necessary corrections, then click the Save Changes button.
    8) Click Log out in the upper-right corner.  When you make your next purchase on the iTunes Store, you will be asked to review your billing information. At this point, you can change your information or simply click Done at the bottom of the screen to proceed. Once you click Done, you should be able to purchase on the iTunes Store using your store credit.

  • ITunes Charged me 9 times for 1 purchase and Support has not resolved it

iTunes charged me 9 times for a single transaction and I'm getting no where in getting it resolved.
Nov 21, 2005: Purchased Season 2 of Lost (videos) for $13.93
Nov 21-22 2005: Was charged over and over again, totaling 9 times for the single purchase
Nov 23: 2005: Initial contact to iTunes support; they tell me this is normal that small charges may be applied to your account as 'authorization requests' Of course, these weren't normal or small charges it was billing error that charged me 9 times for a single purchase.
After contacting them again to reiterate the fact that I was charged 9 times for the purchase, my mail is finally read and an acknowledgments is made that something went wrong. They tell me "We have investigated and resolved the issue you reported. Within 72 hours, you will receive a refund for the duplicate charges through your Paypal account, coming from the iTunes Music Store."
Nov 29 2005: I wait patiently beyond 72 hours for all the refunds to be put in place; some are completed but 2 charges still show. One at the time is valid, its the purchase I made. ** (Not valid today because the music shows as not payed for anymore) **
I contact Support on the 29th stating all of the refunds have not come in, they tell me there is nothing they can do and that I need to contact Paypal. "The best way to resolve this issue is to contact PayPal and advise them of the situation."
I talk to a senior person at Paypal and they tell me there is nothing they can do, that iTunes must issue the refund. Nice. Circles!
I write back again to iTunes Support stating that I had contact Paypal and they stated that there is nothing they can do regarding the refund, that Paypal needs to resolve the matter. iTunes writes back:
"We're sorry that you have experienced this problem with your PayPal account. Unfortunately, we will not be able to notify you when the matter is resolved. Our engineers are trying to correct the errors, and we hope to enable PayPal payment processing as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience."
OK, they at least acknowledge there is a problem (even if they are blaming it on Paypal) and that they are working on it.
Dec 05 2005: Follow up today to get a status as to when I will be refunded for their error, I get no update, only the following response:
"We apologize in the delays in processing this refund, and we thank you for your patience."
I follow up stating I would like the full amount refunded; it seems the original purchase is listed as not payed for so I can't even watch what I purchased! At this point I just
want to be refunded so I can cancel and delete my iTunes account.
    Whats bad:
    - Can't reject the charge on my cc since it will get rejected back to paypal, not iTunes/Apple (paypal will then likely just close my account and come after me for the money)
    - Can't reject charges in paypal, they don't seem to do that
    - iTunes/Apple support mails are incredibly canned responses and impersonal
    - I'm at the mercy of iTunes/Apple in resolving this; there is no ETA for them to resolve this issue that they created.
    - I've asked to be called regarding this matter and the requests have been ignored
Any advice to get this resolved would be appreciated. It is has been an incredibly frustrating experience; I don't much like the idea being forced to pay off a credit card charge for services that I have not actually received and which were charged to me in error.
    Mac OS X (10.4.3)

This is EXACTLY what happened to me and many others. Tech support returned most of my money but not all of it. Figure that one out! It is clear no music is downloaded (or in queue), it is clear an unknown error message is produced, and it is clear we, the consumer, are still being charged anyway. Will Apple require a credit card from its customers and alienate those that do not wish to use a credit card? Will Apple insult its customers and make silly suggestions such as 'Use an iTunes gift card' in much the same way a forum moderator has already recommended?
I have an idea: Acknowledge the problem publicly (via email, for example) and fix it in a future update. Customers will be more understanding if they know there is a temporary problem and Apple is working hard to fix it. Oh, and return our money, please!

  • HT4759 Can't redownload purchases and files are missing

ITunes tells me my purchased files are already downloaded but they will not play.  Out of 30 there are only a few that will play.
This has been a very long drawn out problem and I have tried all kinds of things to solve it. It also will not play most of the songs that I have imported to Itunes.
The list of all the different things I have done to solve this is too lengthy to list.  But other than trying to push them back into Itunes from my Ipod, I don't know what to do!  And I am pretty some of my purchases are not on my Ipod so there will be some lost.
Anyone else having this problem and been able to resolve it.
The files are not on my PC.  There are directories but the files are not there.  And Itunes will not download them.
I am at my wits end!  I think the problem developed when ITunes updated and the ICloud option arrived.  It has been so long I don't really know, but not sure what else it could have been.

You can check the default color settings:

Also make sure that "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above" has a check mark.

  • HT201210 update has missing file, msvcr80.dll

Itunes was working fine till Apple requested to update to the latest version.  After it updated to 11.1.4 it now complains about missing file MSVCR80.dll and will not start up.  Is there an older version still avaiable somewhere that I can back up to.

I read that there are a lot of us having the problem and the cure is the deinstallation and reinstall of the files listed in latter discussion.  It works and I am back with Itunes.  Thanks for the good info.

  • Purchases and updates do not match, how do I fix that?

When I go to updates in the App Store they are all listed as up to date but when viewing purchases many that I use every day are listed as needing to be installed. How can I fix this problem? I do not want to reinstall Apps like Lion that work fine but the rest are not as important.

No other disks or drives are mounted although the finder lists iDisk. Tried to access it but got
There was a problem connecting to the server "idisk.com".
If it is mounted I cannot tell how to unmount it. Both backups are on a disconnected drive.
My iMac is on system 10.6 something, could that be the problem?

  • TS3276 Mail 4.5 is unable to send 500kb attachments.  Is there an update or newer version that my updater has missed?

Have tried all troubleshooting on Apple site.  Repaired permissions.  Could not reinstall mail with 10.4 disc.  It got to the end and said it would take 60 hrs to finish.

Look in your Applications folder for the Mail application and open it from there. You most likely are starting it from the Dock and it is linked to an old copy of Mail that you moved out of the Applications folder.

  • HT1430 I already own an iPhone & have purchased and iPod touch for my husband. How can I have a  completely separate Apple ID for both of the devices?

I have purchased an iPhone 4s 2 years ago and recently purchased an iPod touch for my husband while he was abroad working. I used the same Apple ID when setting up the iPod touch but now I want to know how I can have two separate Apple IDs. One for his iPod touch and one for my iPhone?

Create a new ID and start using it.
You will not be able to transfer your existing purchases and updates will require knowing the password for the old ID.

Restore from previous backup, be sure use the same iTunes and account you used to store your stuff into your device.

now my problem is that all my past work which i did on older version on GB, has missing sounds in it. so here are my questions
    1. DO i have to install JAMPACKS on my new Macbook pro?
    2. Are JAMPACKS still compatable with the new GB?
    3. There is an UPDATE on the new GB on Appstore and once i click it, it goes to billing no detail is provided what this update is for so help!
    thanks

See: This document explains what the in-App purchase is about.

Do you still have your old Mac?
How did you migrate from the old Mac to the new Mac? Did you transfer your old software and documents using Setup Assistant? Then your old GarageBand '11 version should have been migrated, and all your instruments.
if you did  not migrate GarageBand '11, copy your old Instruments Library and Loop Library over from the old mac. Copy the following folders to a thumbsdrive and merge the missing dontents into the corresponding folders on your new mac:  (from the system library - the top level library folder on your Macintosh HD):
    /Library/Application Support/GarageBand/
    /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/
And if you would like to continue to use GarageBand '11 for access to missing features, copy also /Applications/GarageBand over, but to a subfolder of Applications. I recommend, to install the old GarageBand as well. It can be used in parallel to GB 10.0, and will come in handy, if your old projects are having problems.

The JamPacks are nice to have, a terrific collection of instruments and loops, but if you did not have them previously, that will not help with your missing instruments. You can instll them by buying Mainstage 3. They work well with GarageBand 10.0

    Hello Sriggers,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are attempting to update some applications on your iPhone but the payment method was declined. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the information in the attached article to help resolve the situation.

I have contacted Apple 3 times and they told me to change my password each time and i told them i tried that, but it didn't work. They said they would try to fix it and they never contacted me after that. I have an ipod touch 2nd generation.

What did itunes support tell you?
If you did everything it says then you contacted them.
    From the article you linked:
If the issue persists, you can visit iCloud Support, iTunes Support, Apple Print Products, or contact AppleCare for further assistance."
