Purchase contract print preview is displaying items with DEL_IND='X'

Hi,
We are using SRM Server 5.5 and have a situation described below
A purchasing contract is created with, for example, 2 items with status as 'Held' . In change mode, the one item is deleted and the purchasing contract is Released.
When the button 'Output Preview' is pressed, the system displays the print preview with both the irems although one item is deleted.
I am trying to find SAP notes for this but I didn't find any relavent note.
I found one note for not displaying 'Inactive' status items however not found anything for excluding deleted items from print preview.
Appreciate your inputs on this.

Yes, you are correct we are using custom developed smart form and not SAP Standard. We will be updating the smartform for adding the condition of u201Cselect items with deletion indicator=u2019Blanku2019.
However we are interested in the standard solution that SAP has provided to cover this. I don't see this condition in SAP standard smart form so this must have been covered through some program code.
Does anybody have idea on this.

How to disable Purchase Order Print Preview function in the Portal

We wish to expose some purchase order functions in our SAP Portal 7.0. The problem is that when we run any of the purchase order transactions as SAPGUI for HTML, the Print Preview function displays the full purchase order. This means that any user who wishes to short cut processes can display and then print a purchase order before it has been approved if they use the Portal to display the purchase order.
If the purchase order transaction is run from the normal SAPGUI, the Print Preview function only displays the top of the purchase order and the print function is disabled. Has anyone tackled this problem before and worked out a way of stopping users from using the Print Preview function to display purchase orders in the Portal and then print them?

PO print-preview for a PO with all deleted line items

Hello MM Gurus,
I am not able to print preview of a PO for which i deleted all the line items. It gives me a message saying that no print relevant changes.
Client need to print such POs. Client expects a text like "item cancelled " for deleted PO items.
My understanding is that its standard SAP pre delivered customising however it is not working.
Pls suggest.

Ask your ABAPer to modify the smart form, deleted materials wouldn't come for obvious reasons in standard system ... you need to get in customized/ developed.

Purchase order - print preview problem

Hi friends,
i have created a Purchase Order, when im trying to view the print preview, im getting the message ' <b>Specify address number or Address handle'</b> .
Please specify where i have to give these details in PO.

Depends on what address information you are displaying on the Smartform if you are displaying the Plant address then you have to go to T001W and pick up the ADRNR from the Same table and display it in the Smartform Address Window same thing for the Vendor address you have to pick up the ADRNR in the LFA1 for that particular Vendor.. Remember to check if the ADRNR is not initial before you display a address window..

PL45 Print preview and PDF file with SN

Hi, we upgraded to PL45 and everything is working well other than one issue. The issue is with print preview and converting to pdf files when item list with SN is involved in a form (e.g. Delivery and Invoice). SBO will crash with file dump.
Is there anyone having similar issue? If so, how was the issue was resolved?
If anyone is at PL45 could you let me know the names of the documents when printing "Delivery" form with items tracked by serial numbers? I suspect it is this document that's giving us problem.

In case SAP Business One application is shutting down unexpectedly, you should follow these instructions:
Go to SAP Business One application folder:
Right click on the shortcut for SAP Business One which is located on your desktop.
Press 'Properties' button.
Press the 'Find Target' button on the bottom left of the window, SAP Business One application folder will open.
Open the Log folder, which now should contain 2 files that hold the data about the cause for the shutdown. The first file name is: SAP Business One YYYY MM DD HH MM SS.DMP. The second file name is: SAP Business One YYYY MM DD HH MM SS_dyagnostic.TXT.
Open a message to your support center and attach the 2 files and to the message. You need to pack the file *.dmp using a tool like Winrar, because you will not be able to attach *.dmp files directly. In the message content describe the actions that were taken. (please refer to the StepTemplate.xsl in the attachments).

CS5 Print preview window heavly inconsistant with left margin

I can adjust my images to look fine in the print window display with the paper size I select. However the printed image does not accurately track what is shown in the preview.
It does not matter if I print borderless or with border.
I suppose it is a minor quibble in that moving the preview image left margin to the right (positive values) by small amounts the print out actually moves it to the left by that small amount. At first I thought this might be random paper alignment errors but the behavior is too consistent. But as I continued my tests I could not significantly/consistently shift the image to the right until a movement finally happened between 1/2 and 6/10ths of an inch. Only then did I get the actual 6/10th white border on the left side of the printout.
What the heck am I doing wong? Is this a bug? The old print preview was so much better as it gave a WYSIWYG output. Now it seems to be a crap shoot whether your border adjustments match your desired shift.
This is too blatant of an error to be a bug, so what am I overlooking? There seems to be some kind of rasterization of the movement going on I don't know about.

That's a bit surprising, in that I've found HP in general to support their released hardware better than most when a new OS is released.
But it's not unheard of. Manufacturers don't benefit measurably by supporting old hardware, though it's a no-brainer that doing so builds brand loyalty. In fact, I'm sure there are marketeers in these companies that actually believe forcing you to buy a new device is a Good Thing. The printer is not supposed to be a consumable!
Scanners are more often devices that fall into this trap. Over time I've thrown away two perfectly working scanners (one Canon and one Mustek) because they weren't supported by their manufacturer upon release of a new version of Windows. On the other hand, my little, cheap HP 932c printer is still perfectly supported in Windows 7, even though I bought it back in the days of XP. Perhaps it has something to do with numbers of units sold.
Anyway, best of luck getting things worked out. I'm very sorry to hear that HP may be going the way of the other manufacturers.

You cannot see the Price Field in Consigments Orders. As The Price will come into Picture only During the Consignement Settlement.
The Consignment Info Records Should be Maintained with Proper Tax codes.

Purchase order Print preview Problem in ME23N

Purchase order print preview - Short Dump - in ME23N

Dear Experts,
I am doing PO layout in PDF format . When i see print preview in me23n transaction its displaying as PDF format.
when i close the output selection popup screen its giving short dump, saying that ' A RAISE statement in the
program "CL_HANDLE_MANAGER_MM==========CP" raised the exception condition "FAILURE". Pls let me know if
anybody come across this issue.

Hi,
Dump is a result of common work area 'cleanup' procedure inside BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL1 (module cleans memory area which transaction ME2xN expects to be filled).
Luckily you are able to turn off this code section by adding some MM tool method call just before calling FM BAPI...
you need only one code line - worked perfectly in my case:
cl_mmpur_bapi_po=>put_repid( im_repid = sy-repid ).

Display item with HTML affected by dynamic action

Hi,
I'm using APEX 4.1.1
I have a item P1_TEST set as "Display only", escaping special characters "no", and the source as pl/sql expression of
'hello <b>world</b>'I then create a dynamic action executing PL/SQL on click of a button.
P1_TEST is listed in both "page items to submit" and "page items to return", and it doesn't matter what happens in the pl/sql code - it could just be null;
When opening the page, I see
hello world
as desired.
After clicking the button, the field contents become escaped and I see hello <b&GT;world</b>which is not desired.
Is this expected behaviour / a bug? Is there a workaround?

Hi Scott,
This was indeed a change of behaviour from 4.1.1 to 4.2 and has to do with how APEX handles input escaping (or when saving values into session state). I should say, we plan to revisit the current behaviour to make this more transparent and obvious, but that won't be for 4.2, for your information.
As you identified, the escaping is happening as part of the 'Page Items to Submit' functionality, so in other words when the item value is saved in session state. APEX has some predefined rules about when and when not to do input escaping based on the item type, and this is what has changed slightly from 4.1.1 to 4.2.
In 4.1.1, regardless of whether item values are set via the URL or via an Ajax call, the same rules applied for when APEX does input escaping. We always input escape the 'safe' item types. These types used to be documented in the 3.2 documentation, here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14373_01/appdev.32/e11838/sec.htm#CDDBBECI
(Obviously the item types have changed slightly with the consolidation of some of those into single items, with different settings. But hopefully that is still of use, and we no longer cite them in the same way in recent documentation so I couldn't link to something more recent.)
In 4.2, this behaviour was 'relaxed' slightly, such that this logic only kicks in when setting values over the URL, not for Ajax calls. This is why this is no longer an issue with your DA, because we no longer obey the same item type escaping in the context of an Ajax call.
As a workaround for 4.1.1, I would suggest to use a non-safe item type to set your value into (eg a 'Hidden' type), then use JavaScript just to copy that over to your displayed item. The 'unescape' function didn't work, because that does URL unescaping, not HTML unescaping.

Is it possible to create new tcode just for print preview only? As of now user must have authorization to tcode ME9F to preview and print. But now they are insisting of having authorization for print preview only.

GR Printing For Single Line Item With Multiple Account Assignment.

Hi All,
There is PO for projects (Account Assignment -P - Network) in which in a single item consist of multiple account assignment.
Noe while entering the GR I select "Collective Slip" option but when the GR is posted system automatically select option "Individual slip" and seprate line item are printed for each account assignment.
The printing program is standard SAPM07DR. The SAP version is 4.7. Can anyone tell what is ther any setting in configuration or is it problem in program or smart form

How do you want to indicate that? Do you want to mark the field with some color? Do you want to have a checkbox next to it?

Print Preview problem in Invoice

                i have the following problem, when i go to the VF02 and use the document 9000040 i go to billing document, then issue output to and choose print preview i have one item for USD1000 and the item can have a text (via SO10), when i get another document, for example 9000060 the print preview shows the item with USD1000 but the text assigned is not being displayed, the first document is a credit memo, the second one is a debit memo, thanks in advance.

you have mentioned that you have pass the window and the window itself,what do you mean here actually bcz there is only 4 paramters to be passed
EXPORTING
   ELEMENT                        = 'TEXT1'
   FUNCTION                       = 'SET'
   TYPE                           = 'BODY'
   WINDOW                         = 'MAIN'
So here you r passing only the window.
check out the paramters that you are passing i hope there must be some problem in passing the parameters properly in the print program.
