Purchase Credit Account Issue

Dear All,
         I am using Perpetual inventory system. I want to know for what reason and in which situation Purchase Credit Account is used.

Hi Hitesh
Sales credit account" is used as offset to "revenue account" when you post A/R Credit memo and Purchase credit account is used as offset to Vendor account when you post A/P credit memo. If no invoices has been generated , then system wouldn't ask for this acount while posting credit notes.

    Price Difference Account :-
    When we are using with Standard(Valuation Method) in Inventory Data Tab.
    Suppose we have put cost 100 rupee for RM001 (Raw Materials)  but if we make document for 120 then it will affect with difference amount it may be increase or dcrease.
    Purchase Credit Account :-
    when a credit transaction for purchasing is created, for example, an A/P credit memo
    Suppose if we have made Purchase Invoice (A/P invoice )  and after we make Credit note then this account will be affect

    Please advise, what accounts (Expense or Income Account) should be determined for Sales Credit Account and Purchase Credit Account under Item Group & Warehouse Setup window.

    Sales Credit Account
    Used when posting a Credit on Sales side for non stock/stock items.
    Purchase Credit Account
    Used when posting a Credit on the Purchase side for non stock items.

  • Purchase Credit account - when it will use?

    Hi All,
    Just being confused with Purchase Credit Account, when this account will be used? It is at Goods Return function? or AP Credit Note?
    What account should be set for? COGS? Looking forward for correct answer, thanks.

    Hi,
    Purchase Credit Account is an expense account to be used as default when a credit transaction for purchasing is created, for example, an A/P credit memo.
    This account defaults for new warehouses, item groups and item master data records creation.
    The purchase credit account can be the same as the Expense Account, in case you do not wish to record credits to a separate account.
    It is mandatory account for Initial Setup.

  • Credit account issue

    Dear all,
    We have changed the credit account for one of our customers in FD32
    The issue now is that when I check the VBAK table the credit account that was changed in FD32 still shows in the table.
    Is there a way to remove the credit account that was changed so it doesn't show anymore in the VBAK table as being linked to the customer or will this be only applicable for new sales orders that are created after the credit account has been removed/changed in FD32?

    If a credit account has been changed for a customer in FD32 then this doesn't get changed automatically if the sales orders was already created.
    I have checked table VBAK and the sales order is linked still to the old credit account.
    My question is, is there a program that we can run to get the sales order linked to the new credit account?

    When I am creating AP credit note, inventory a/c is credited instead of purchase credit a/c .
    why this happening, and whats use of purchase a/c remains.

    Hi,
    In DEMO, check the working with a non-inventory item.
    Enter a AP Credit Memo and check the JE for that by selecting an item which is Non Inventory.
    Hope it would be clarified.

  • Purchase Credit memo - G/L Account is missing

    I purchased some items (not the service) from a vendor, but i like to return it so I wants to create a A/P Credit Memo.  I am copying all the information into the A/P Credit memo from Goods Receipt document.  When I click add button the system throws an error saying the G/L account is missing.  What could be the problem.

    This A/P down payment clearing account is already defined.  Also I tried to enter the G/L account for Purchase Credit account , still the problem is exist.
    if I am raising a A/P credit memo for an item type is Purchased item and Fixed Asset , in this case would be the scenario be different?  I am copying all the information into the credit memo from is A/P Invoice.  Please reply

    Why can I not use and overseas credit card for purchases?  My account information is insisting on a credit card issued within my country of residence..?

    iTunes doesn't allow a credit card that was issued by a bank in another country (possibly because it's a way of confirming that you are able to buy from a country's store) - you will only be able to use a credit card issued by a New Zealand bank. Or you could use iTunes gift cards as your payment method, as far as I can see they are available in New Zealand.

  • Purchase offsetting account

    My Client belongs to Spain, so for external reporting there have to show Purcahse Account and Purchase offsetting Accounts.
    Now my question is , I exectived T.Code MC$4 to get the PO, GR, IR value and i am comparing the MC$4 Value with GL account by using FBL3N T.code. The purchase offsetting account value is differs with MC$4T.code.
    Can one please suggestion me why there is a difference between Purchase offsetting alc and MC$4 Value and also please suggestion me, whether my comparision between MC$4 and FBL3N is correct or not.

    Note on purchase account/purchase offsetting account/inventory account which is used for country specifics like Venuzula/Russia etc.
    1. when the Goods receipt happend.
    stock account             Debit
    GR clearing account   Credit
    simulteniously:
    Purchase account     Debit
    Purchase off setting  credit
    2. When invoice entered :
    Vendor  account credit
    GR clearing a/c  debit
    In this scenario, purcahse account and purchase off setting a/c shall tally.
    GR clearing also get tallied.
    only Inventory will remain and it shall get reduced as when goods are issued for production/assembly.
    Let me know if you need any clarification, or reward if clarified.

  • Cannot purchase credit

    I have tried to buy credit with 2 different cards and paypal but it fails everytime. Before i went on holidays i did get 5 euro credit but this is used and i cant put anymore on it. I even got my brother to try from home by logging into my account but it failed from there as well. I have been using skype for the last week as my phone company doesn't allow roaming in the countries where i am at the moment and have had no problems apart from this. I have checked and i'm not over my limit on purchasing credit as i've only bought 5 euro. Can anybody shed light on the problem.

How do I get my account to log in again and function properly, I shouldn't have to wait until I have a meagre £2.99 in my account again do I because I need the app store for other apps etc and updating, even if it is only 3 days I want my account back, I do not want nor did I give permission for the in-app purchase and would be happy for it to be returned/credited back so I can have MY account available for my IPhone.
    Please can someone give me more information or let me know how else I can get my account working again, before pay day on tuesday.

  • Credit account is not showing the group customers credit exposure

    Hi Exports,
    I have an issue where in grouped some customer for credit control. Here say i have taken xxx1 customer as master customer for credit control so that customer xxx1 will carry the credit limits for customers xxx2, xxx3 and xxx4 and i have assigned credit account xxx1 to all customers. If i check customers credit accout in FD32 (status tab) of customer xxx1 it
    is showing zero credit exposure for all the customers though the Sales transaction are happened with all customer.
    Note: I am using update group 000015 (delivery level) and dynamic check.
    Please can u explain me what could be the reason.

    Hi,
    When you use Update group 000015, the system will update only the values of open deliveries and billing documents. It will not consider the Sales orders in FD32 .
    So you have to change the update group 000012.
