Purchase iMovie 6 - where?

Long story short, I have iLife 08 but can't install iMovie 08.
I know that iMovie 06 will give me what I need, so I would like to install it but don't know where to get it.
I'm throwing this out there in case anyone has any ideas where I could look (no longer available from Apple)

You can get iMovie 06 in a number of ways. You cannot download it FROM APPLE any longer. You can also find iMovie 06 on the iLife 06 install disc. You can buy iLife 06 on Amazon or eBay.
But be prepared to pay about double the cost of iLife 09 (but well worth every penny). Seller's are becoming aware of its value.

So, I made my parents get me a Mac, and now I'm starting to really regret it. I was in it for the camera and all the cool apps I could get. Your parents have gifted you a pretty old Mac. iMovie 9 is iMovie '11, available on the Mac App Store (you can find it on the Dock), but it needs OS X 10.7.4 or newer.
The most recent OS X version is OS X Mountain Lion, OS X 10.8. OS X Lion (10.7) is available calling Apple > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 However, I recommend you to upgrade to Mountain Lion, as it's the most recent version.
First, see if your Mac is compatible > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs Then, make a backup, open the Mac App Store and purchase OS X Mountain Lion. If your Mac isn't supported, the App Store will show you an error and it won't purchase OS X.
If it's supported, the download will start and the installer will show up when it finishes. Finally, you only have to follow its steps to upgrade. See if your apps are supported > http://www.roaringapps.com

Exactly where are you clicking, you need to be specific. For example, are you using the Dock, the Applications folder, Launchpad, etc. to attempt to start teh app? Also IOS 7.1.2 does not run on a Mac, what version of OS X is installed on your computer?

1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

Purchase iMovie as a new user?

I have taken over a MacBook and reinstalled everything.
Now I would like to purchase iMovie.
But AppStore says that it has been bought before and I have to purchase it again. But I can't see how to do it?

Yes you were quite right. That has got to be the purchase of the century. Bearing in mind back in 1989-90 I purchased 2 Roland Modules - a D110 and a U110, they cost me £450 each! Plus £150 for a 'shock-proof' double skinned rack, £150 for 16 channel line mixer and finally £350 for an Alesis Quadra-verb unit.
You might be able to help me with a further question now it's all up and running - some of the voicings in the folders in the instrument libraries appear to be empty - is this extra content that we have to purchase or is it simply that my macbook has yet to download the remaining content?
Any guidance would be very helpful.
And yes, I'm loving MainStage already.

Updates:
I found why the original backup file is not showing on iTunes. Becuase it is corrupted.
All other folders contains Infor.plist, Manifest.mbdb, Manifest.plist and Status plist files.
But the folder that contains origianal backup files does not have those files above.
I think the only way I can restore the data is using third party extracting software.
Do you know anything about that kind of software?

I have today purchased iMovie but does not look right

I have today purchased iMovie for £2.99 (through iTunes I recall) but when I start the app it does not look much like the on line tutorial details. Just has Video/Projects/Theater and create a new project. Any advice please? Have I actually purchased the app or some simple equivalent?

Purchased iMovie 2013 - Can I downgrade to iMovie '11

I was searching for a video editor that had certain features that my son needed for his school project and came across a number of iMovie '11 (v9) articles online that showed this application had the features I was looking for. So I rushed to the App store and purchased iMovie which I later found out was iMovie 2013 (v10), which hadn't received very favourable reviews.
I wanted to know if it was possible to purchase or downgrade to iMovie '11 and so I contacted App support who were willing to provide me with a refund, but couldn't answer my question and just referred me to http://www.apple.com/support/mac-apps/imovie/. Does anyone know if downgrading to iMovie '11 is possible when it wasn't initially installed?

Running OS X v10.9 on a brand new iMac. I am trying to purchase iMovie from the app store and it gives me this message...
We could not complete your purchase.
iMovie can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because OS X version 10.9.1 or later is required. You can update OS X from the Updates page of the App Store.
When I look for updates on my machine it says "No updates available".
How do I get iMovie???? or how do I get the OS update to 10.9.1????

I downloaded the 10.9.1 update from apple's website http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1715 but when I try to install it says I need v10.9 or later running on my current drive. That is what I have.
