Purchase More Storage on iCloud

Been trying to purchase more storage on iCloud, but no success.
On the ios devices (iphone4s and ipad2) when trying to buy more storage 50GB $100 per year option, my apple id password is asked.
After submitting, it says completing purchase but finally "An unknown error has occured" window pops up.

Hi
I have the same problem. I discovered by using the iCloud control panel on my desktop computer allows me to get around the problem. You might want to explore that option.
