  • Why is my recent apple tv purchase not authorized for my New iPad

I recently purchased an Apple TV and a new iPad....when I try and sync, one of my movies comes back as "not copied to iPad as you are not authorized to view it on this computer?"  Its in my iTunes library so I don't understand?
    Thanks!

never mind, I figured it out!  You have to turn home sharing on in settings on the iPad as well....!

  • Some purchases "not authorized"

The last week or two, about 1 in 30 purchases from the iTunes store will not play The "this computer is not authorized" notice pops up, but when I go to authorize the computer, I get the message that the computer is already authorized (it is a macmini from 2009, running automatically updated iTunes and OS 10.6.8, also set to automatcally update).  This morning it happened with "natural facts" from the album Juke Joint Blues 2.
As far as I can tell, it only happens with songs I am trying to play for the first time, and also, as far as I can remember, usually only once per album.  This has not been a problems with songs downloaded from Amazon, Rhino, or direct from CDs.

  • Itunes purchase not authorized to load on my ipod

I just bought a book from the itunes store, and when I try to load it to my ipod I get an error message telling me that I am not "authorized" to play those on this computer. I guess charginng my credit card wasn't enough authority.
Has anyone else experienced this and how can I fix it asap?

Hm... I can see that the Apple techs are all over this one. I would be satisfied with a link to where this answer has already been answered. If it doesn't get fixed, how can I get a refund? I'm finally beginning to recognize the fatal flaw in the ingenius ipod system... Absolutely NO support for itunes. I want to talk to a person and straighten this out.

  • HT5772 How do you delete and cancel order placed in error? My recent purchase shows additional purchases not authorized.

How do you cancel purchases made on the i-pod? My recent purchase included unauthorized apps and I need to cancel and refund the entire purchases.

Were they 'placed in error' or 'unauthorised' ? Purchases are considered final, but you can try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • I have just purchased a new pc and when I try to play 2 separate albums that I bought from the itunes store I get a message that my computer is not authorized. I then follow the steps to authorize it and the same thing happens when I attempt to play this

Just purchased a new pc with windows 8. Transferred over my itunes. With 2 different albums in my library, when I attempt to play this music I get a message saying my computer is not authorized. I then sign in to authorize the computer, itunes  tells me it is indeed authorized, I attempt to play this music again and I get the same "your computer is not authorized" message again, and again....
Any help out there on this one would be appreciated. If my question is not clear enough I will attempt to help.
    Thank you,
    mike

Delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country.

Authorize the coumputer.  Go to store in the top of the screen and authorize it.

  • Every movie purchase through iTunes fails to transfer to my iPhone or iPad and the message I get is this: some of the items in the itunes library, including were not copied to the ipad because you are not authorized for them on this computer... help?

For a couple months now, every movie purchase through iTunes fails to transfer to my iPhone or iPad giving me the error: "some of the items in the iTunes library, including were not copied to the iPad because you are not authorized for them on this computer". I have read many forums about deleting, reinstalling, de-authorizing and authorizing my iMac through the iTunes store. Many suggestions don't work except to rename the movie to *.MP4 in Finder under the iTunes movie directory. I imagine this is a setting or a bug somewhere... any suggestions on how to bypass having to rename the files in Finder? My research into Google suggests this problem dates back to 2007 or so but it is now more prevalent than ever.
    Thanks.

  • I can't sync my new purchases, saying computer not authorized, but when I try to authorize it says incorrect passcode when I know is correct. Already unistalled and reinstalled. help?

I am having trouble syncing my ipod nano with my desktop.  I purchased new songs that show up on my desktop but cannot get them to sync to my nano.  The computer keeps giving me the message it is not authorized.  Then it asks for my passcode which it says is incorrect.  Which how can that happen when I can still go into Itunes and purchases songs with the same passcode?  The computer just keeps looping to "not authorized" and "incorrect passcode". But I was able to see my computer is 1 of 2 computers authorized but does not seem to be recognizing this. So,  I called apple support and they had me unistall and reinstall itunes but I am still having the same problem.  Does anyone have any suggestions how to get pass this?  Any help would be great thanks!!

  • Error message:  Cannot sync songs purchased in iTunes to iTouch because computer is not authorized.  I go in and authorize computer (only computer I have ever used for iTunes), seems to be successful.  Then I try to sync again and it gives same error mesg

It just goes in a circle.  This computer not authorized to sync purchased songs to iTouch.  Follow directions to authorize computer, seems successful.  Sync again and it comes up with the same error message....this computer not authorized to sync iTune purchases to iTouch.  I have deauthorized the computer and reauthorized and it didn't make a difference.  I updated and restored to factory settings.  Still same error message.  I have had this problem the last 2 times I have synced.  Worked previously.  Any ideas??

additional info:  I looked into similar complaints.  1 suggested that something is wrong with the files.  Delete them off of computer and divice (but they are not on my divice anymore) and then download them again from iTunes purchase history.  Went in to check iTunes purchases to make sure the songs would be there if I did follow these steps.  Well, NONE of them are in my purchase history.....probably the real problem here.  I had an original iPod Nano and then upgraded to my current iTouch.....same computer for both.  Could there have been a problem at the point of switching over to the iTouch?  That doesn't make sence to me because it is through iTunes and it was the same account for both.  I thought I'd be smart and put all the songs in a playlist and burn to a CD and them load them back in that way.....but I was not authorized to burn to a CD....go figure.  Any idease would be great!!

    Hello Fanzaria,
Congratulations on your new computer!  It sounds like you are trying to transfer your iTunes purchases from your iPod to iTunes on your computer, but you are repeatedly getting an authorization prompt.
Is it possible that some of these songs were purchased with an Apple ID you may have been using at another time?  You mentioned that you don’t see these purchases under your past purchases in the iTunes Store.  I recommend checking to see if they are hidden under your current Apple ID using the steps in the section titled “To unhide your purchases” in the following article:
iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4919
If you are not seeing all the songs you expect to see after checking for hidden purchases, I recommend searching for an older Apple ID that you may have used.  Use the steps in this article to find your Apple ID:
Apple ID: How to find your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625
If you find an alternate Apple ID that you used, authorize iTunes with that Apple ID:
Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1420
I also recommend reviewing the following article for the issue you are experiencing.  I recommend reviewing the full article but specifically the section to Remove the SC Info folder:

  • How can I retrieve purchased tunes not authorized for my computer?

I am told I have 79 purchased tunes from I Tunes Store that were not copied on to my computer because my computer was not authorized for those tunes. How did this happen & how can I correct the problem?

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean. Did you copy tracks from one computer to another, and if so by what means?

  • How do I authorize my 100+ previously purchased itunes music that is in protected aac form?  It prompts that my computer is not authorized even though it is.

How do I authorize my 100+ previously purchased itunes music that is in protected aac form?  It prompts that my computer is not authorized even though it is.

are you saying that your computer is autharized from guessing, or do you know it is becuase it says it. in itunes, go to the advanced tab and the last option in that tab should be either aurhorize, or de-authorize.  What does it say?

  • Not authorized to use my purchased music on secondary computer.

Alright, to make this as easy as possible I am going to try to give every detail of this problem of mine. I have been unsuccessful in solving this problem and it is really annoying.
On my laptop I have iTunes. Everything in my library was purchased from iTunes. I have always used the same account, I have changed the email address in the account settings once before, which in turn changed my apple ID. All my music works fine on my iPod touch as well.
I have a new desktop computer with iTunes that I just bought. So, I plugged in my iPod after signing in with my apple ID and authorizing my computer. Most of my items sync and play just fine, yet a lot of them refuse to be transferred to my new computer. I get an error message stating that there are "100 plus errors" saying that I am not authorized to have some of the music on my computer.
When I go back to my laptop(which everything works just fine on) I clicked "get info" on a song that would not transfer to my new computer and it says my old email as the account that purchased it. I thought that I should go back to the computer with the problem, change the account info again to my old email, authorize the computer, and switch back to my old email. That did not work. I am very frustrated, if anyone at all could help me, I would really appreciate it.
And if you don't get what I am saying just ask me to clarify.
    -Lawson

Actually, there is no such thing as "not authorized to have some of the music on my computer." Authorization is about playing DRM-protected songs, not about having a copy someplace.
You have two different things going on.
First, the iPod is supposed to be able to transfer purchased songs from one computer to another, but in your case it is tripping on certain songs. I suggest you copy the problem song files from the old computer to the new computer by some other means, such as a USB flash drive.
Once they are on the new computer, authorize iTunes to the account(s) from which they were originally purchased. Add them to the iTunes library and make sure they play. If there is still a problem, contact iTunes Customer Service.

  • I purchased a song on itunes and when I play it, it says my computer is not authorized. A window pops to authorize my computer so I type in my account info and hit authorize. After that a window pops up saying it is already authorize but still won't play.

I purchased a song on itunes and when I play it, it says my computer is not authorized. A window pops to authorize my computer so I type in my account info and hit authorize. After that a window pops up saying it is already authorized but still won't play. None of this happens with any other songs on my itunes. I would just purchase the song again but I can't because every time I try to purchase it, the song says "play" next to it instead of "buy." When I hit play no music plays it just goes back to saying my computer is not authorized so I authorize it and it says it is already authorized then I click it again and it says my computer is not authorized. It's a never ending annoying circle. How can I get the song to play?
