Purchase of Pages and Numbers for Mac, again?
I upgraded to Lion last night, it failed, went to the Apple Store, they did a clean install for me, I re-installed backup copies of my software and expected to go logon to the App Store and download Pages and Numbers, which I had purchased about 3 months ago and installed on a MacBookPro which was subsequently stolen.
The only purchase the App Store has on record for me is Lion. I am quite sure I have had only 1 Apple account. Must I purchase Pages and Numbers again?

Holding down the option key seems to only change the status of Lion, which I have installed, from "Installed" to "Install" (ie "Installable"). I am afraid that the App Store has 2 accounts for me and I'm not sure I can conjure up the older one!

Make sure your Mac is set to English before you go to the App Store.
Be warned however thast Pages 5, with a few exceptions is actually a downgrade with over 90+ features removed:

Why can't I get Keynotes Pages and Numbers for free after OS Mavericks 10.9.1 Upgrade?
I bought my Macbook Air a few days ago with the OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 update software already installed on my laptop. I'm suppose to get Keynotes, Pages, and Numbers for free under purchases in my app store but unfortunately I haven't seen any of those programs come as a purchase in my store. I've downloaded the OS Mavericks 10.9.1 software three times already and restarted my computer to see if they come in the mac store but nothing happened. I've also applied for the Up to Date program and they said they would contact me in 24 hours but it has been three days and I still haven't got a reply from them.

I have a problem.
I bought Pages and Numbers for my iMac and so far everything was OK.
Suddenly i have a problem with connection to iCloud.
Dokuments created on iMac in Pages or Numbers are not transfered to iCloud. Not uploaded to iCloud. There is a sign (small shape of iCloud), that they are waiting to be uploaded to iCloud.
I think the iCloud is OK.
i can see and manage documents in iCloud. i can create them on iPad and see them and delete them in iCloud.
But not on iMac.
i dont know what has happened and I am not abble to find the solution. It was OK till some days ago….I have a similar problem! Everything stopped working after upgrading to Mac OS 10.8.4 through the App Store. Help!

My disc drive on my 6 year old MacBook died. I bought an iMac with OS10.9, but it will not allow me to open Appleworks files from my backup drive. Does anyone know of a method to transfer or open Appleworks 6 files in Pages or Numbers for OS 10.9? I need those files.

All objects are thicker than they should be, mainly because I need to create a embedded Odg for each shapes. This will change in LibreOffice 4.3 because we have added in the parent library of libmwaw, functions to create shapes directly ; at least for line, rectangle, ellipse, probably not for other shapes...

Hi, I have an older iMac on 10.6.8. I don't think it came with all the iWork apps. I got GarageBand and iMovie with the system. I'm wondering if I can still get Pages and Keynote for this iMac as free downloads, or are they all just apps for purchase now?

IWork (or just Pages and Numbers) for 10.8.5?
I have 10.8.5 on my iMac and have no intention of upgrading to Mavericks (long story short - we tried it and the update killed our harddrive. We had to get a new one from Apple and I had to pay big money to get data recovered off of the old one from an outside company. We are NOT risking that again, so don't try to convince me to update).
But, with that whole fiasco, I lost our Microsoft Office programs. I can't find the discs anywhere (we've moved twice since installing it). Pages/Numbers is cheaper than Office, so I want to install that, but cannot seem to find a version that will work on my operating system. Does Apple really not have this available? Do they really want me to go purchase a Microsoft program instead??
I found previous discussions from last fall/winter that Apple was working on a version that would be compatible with earlier operating systems (like my Mountain Lion), but I don't see that anything has come of it..?
Anyone have any idea how I can get some word processing programs on my computer?!It does not require you to have Mavericks, you have Auto Update set in your Preferences (turn it off) and it is asking you to update to the latest version which is Pages 5 which requires you also update to Mavericks to run it.
You need to manage your purchases better and to pay more attention to what is going on on your computer.
Buy a Passport Hard Drive (preferably 2 so they back each other up) and copy all your installers, serial numbers and purchase details onto that.
I doubt Mavericks killed your hard drive, that either was co-incidental or something else that you haven't told us.
LibreOffice is a good choice, it is very capable and opens/saves to just about every known format. The User Interface is still a bit rough but they are working on it.
There are many other choices, quite a few good free alternatives such as LibreOffice:

New iPad mini retina but why can't I download pages and numbers for free?
I have just bought an iPad mini retina and used my current itunes account to register on the iPad. I can see that the keynote that I bought before is free but not numbers and pages. Are they not suppose to be free when buying a new device?
Hi, I did use my current apple ID to activate the device but I can't see it as one of my devices that are registerd to my ID. I have an iPhone and an iPad 2 that shows when I look on the devices connected to my account. Should I reset anything to do new registration? I have tried to log out of itunes account and login again but it still doesn't work.

You can only use the original Apple ID that was used to activate the iPad to download the free apps.

I need help in getting refunded and to assist with ordering the iWorks of the three applications. It states it's $19.99. Help!
Open you Apps store application and click on the Purchased tab. The applications should be listed there and is either grayed out which means it's installed and in your applications folder or the button says "install". You can click the install button and it will download and install to your apps folder.

iOS and OS X are different operating systems and they use different applications, so you have to purchase Pages and Numbers for Mac in the Mac App Store in order to use them on the iMac.
You already have them for the iPad, so you can install it on any other iPhone, iPad and iPod touch free of charge, but not on a Mac because you need another version. Also, in order to sync the documents between your iPad and your Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud, and mark "Documents & Data", and on the iPad, open Settings > iCloud, and activate "Documents & Data" -
I had previously purchased the programs "Pages" and "Numbers" and they are on my iPhone and iPad I was told that the programs would automatically copy a version of itself for the iMac to be running them but I don't see it installed. Whoever told you that was misinformed or lying. Those applications are sold separately for the iOS platform and the Mac platform.
Go to the Mac App Store to purchase Pages and Numbers for your Mac. They're $20 each. If you are running an older version of Mac OS X that can't use the Mac App Store, you can purchase install media from Apple.
