Purchase or wait ??

I have been patiently waiting for ilife 08 as I really want to start to get my bands website looking more professionally ( I only have ilife 05 and have been using the foc package NVU ) and then I discovered I also need OS 10.4 onwards ( I still have 10.39 )
I definitely want to get Leopard when released but what do you think the chances are of a free ( or cheap ) upgrade to it if I rush out and buy Tiger now to run ilife08 ??
I know Leopard is on the way but two months seems like an eternity at the moment.
Any thoughts ??

LOL Yes I was thinking that as well but as these upgrades are so well publicised and discussed it would make sense for Apple to introduce a bit of a sliding scale to encourage the purchase of older OS systems and software etc and it would also avoid the mad dash to get the brand new product.
I suppose I just have to wait ( or buy now and regret in two months lol )
Thanks for the prompt reply
Tony

• HT1338 I have new IPHONE MINI - From my MAC, it says I need to update to 10.6.8 in order to update my ITUNES for MINI. Can I update online? Do I have to purchase and wait for delivery or perform online?

I purchased IPAD MINI for my daughter. To properly register the new MINI, it says to update ITUNES. However, in order to update ITUNES, I need to update my software to 10.6.8.
Can I do so over the net or do I have to purchase and wait?

You can purchase OS X 10.6 from the online Apple store by calling them, which in the US is at 800-MY-APPLE or you can buy it online here. After you receive it, install it, run Software Update until there are no more updates, at which point you'll be at OS X 10.6.8 and can install iTunes 10.7. Note your system needs a minimum of 1GB of memory to run OS X 10.6.8.

• App Store - purchased apps waiting download

Any ideas?

Thanks for the heads up I have not made any purchases yet (new machine last week) but will remember this post.

• Purchase requisition waiting for approval

Hi ,
Can you please tel me a table name where i can see a PRs waiting for approval for particular user.
Like , when we see PRs in ME55 tcode for particular user. From which table we get these entries??
Much thanks in advance.,
Nilesh.

EBAN you get the exact level. but thing is here you can get the rel stat as X only.
Say examply if you have 3 rel level means, in this rel stat each level release it will get update X. If two level released XX will be there.
Create one Z table there you will maintain the release code, user and level combination. two compare this z table and eban you can get the user list.
directly you cannot get the its lying with which user.

• Trying to decide to purchase or wait for OS X photo?

I'm a new photographer and don't want too many complications. I'm wondering if I should get Aperature before it disappears os OS X photo. Does anyone know what the difference will be?

I would not pay for Aperture. It is being discontinued by Apple.
Have you tried iPhoto? That would be a logical place to start. Photos is not an Aperture replacement, but an iPhoto replacement. However the two are quite similar, so if you get used to how iPhoto works, you'll have a head start on Photos. In fact, iPhotos does a couple of things better than Photos (you can edit location, for example).
If you do need a more comprehensive photo organizer and/or editor, there are tons of alternatives that are still being developed, from all sorts of vendors, and even in open source software. Some are simple, some more complex. Unlike Aperture, most all of them have demos you can download and try out.
So don't waste any money or time (it does require some time to learn all or even most of its features) on Aperture; it would be throwing money down a hole.

• Purchase Orders Pending for Invoice Verification

Good Afternoon,
I'm looking a report with purchase orders waiting or pending for Invoice Verification.
Those PO's already has the Goods Receipt, and just pending for Invoice Verification.
Thanks for the help.
Hector.

Use report ME2N with selection parameter as RECHNUNG.
or else you can create your own seleciton parameter where you can pull the report only for the invoice which has GR done.
to do that go to SPRO-MM-purchasing-reporting-maintain purchaisng list-selection parameter-define seleciton parameter
hit new entry or copy RECHNUNG
create new one with
IR planned +
Delivered >= 0 ord
and Invoiced < ord
save and use this parameter in ME2N
you will only get the POs list where GR done but no IR

• Conversion of sales order to automatic purchase order

hii
experts,
i m doing automatic purchase order from sales order.my questions are as follows:
1. can i create automatic purchase order from sales order . if yes then what r the steps involved.
2. what r the account assingnment category and item category that i have to provide in purchase requisition.
waiting for ur valuable inputs.
warm regards
thanks
subhash kulkarni

HI,
You can not create PO automatically from Sales Order, You can create PR automatically from Sales Order if it is a Third Party Process. Normally in Third party process , when you create Sales Order the PR will be created automatically. Through this PR Number you can create PO either manually or automatically(me59n). For this you need to configure some settings.
In Material Master item category group should be -BANS (Standard).
In Sales document type should be assigned with Item catagory -TAS.
In Schedule lin category -CS you have to maintain the item category -S and order type- NB. And account assignment category-X.
After this config when you create Sales Order , PR will be created automatically. In that PR you can see the item category -S and acct assignment -X.

• Early 2011 MacBook Pro: Purchase or Hold Off

Thinking about purchasing a 15" 2011 MacBook Pro to replace my 2009 MBP. My 2009 has worked flawlessy but I'm really interested in the new graphics/speed capabilities of the 2011. Probably faster than the 2007 MacPro I had. I'm hesitant because of all the issues I've read on the forum about overheating, display problems when connected to a 24" LED display (which I have) and freezes. Hard to gauge if these problems are as wide-spread as noted on the forum. Are the problems as prevalent as everyone is saying? Are there users out there not experiencing problems? Not sure if I should wait until a fix or revision is pushed out.
Here's what I'm think of getting:
15-inch: 2.2 GHz or 2.3 GHz with 8 GB of RAM; 500 GB 7200 RPM; Hi-Res Glossy Widescreen.
Be curious as to what people are going to recommend: purchase or wait.
Thanks in advance.
Tom

Hi,
I've the same configuration Mac but with 128GB SSD. I'm experiencing lot of issues (check my thread here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2784633&tstart=0), but not sure whether everyone facing all these issues.
My suggestion is wait few more weeks until Apple resolves at least some of these issues. I can't return my product since I exceeded 14 days return policy. So repair is only the option.
WAIT for new hardware builds...

• Can't get a song that was purchased. What do we need to do?

We purchased our first song from iTunes from a redeemed iTunes Music Card. It did its download, but then gave a message stating the file may be corrupt. Then suggested to run 'Check for Purchases...'. We ran 'Check for Purchases' and waited and waited and waited (over 30 minutes on the last attempt) only to never get a response. What happened? Is there something we should be doing different? We've attempted this many times including from shuttting down the iTunes app and even after rebooting. Same result. Now the song isn't even under the 'Download' icon.
Can someone help?
Thanx!

Check your Purchased Folder (left hand side of iTunes, under the Store Category). If you see the song in the folder than you have downloaded it successfully, no matter what the error message was. If the song isn't there you need to check your Purchase History. You can do this by clicking on iTunes Store (left hand side of iTunes, under the Store Category) Then on the right hand side of the store page is a category called Quick Links. Click on Account and sign in and check to see if the song is in your Purchase History. If it IS there and NOT in your Purchased folder (left hand side of iTunes) than you should e-mail the iTunes store and let them know your situation and what the error message said while downloading. You can e-mail the store by using the e-mail form on this page http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/buy/
Don't forget to make sure your computer meets System Requirements for having iTunes on your computer ~.~

• Account Charged for Items I did not purchase

I was sent a receipt for a purchase on my account. Fortunately, I do not have a credit card on file, but my gift card that I had on file was almost cleaned out.
This is not a purchase I made. It appears to be for video games, which I never have ordered from iTunes. Furthermore, when I go to my account, these items don't show up in my list of purchases. However, when I look at my purchase history, the charge is there.
My first thought was that someone somehow got into my account - although my password (since changed) was a strong one - and made this charge. But, wouldn't they show up as purchases? Now I'm wondering if perhaps this is just some weird clerical error on the part of iTunes.
How do I have this fixed. I couldn't find anything helpful in the iTunes help area.

I have encounter the same problem
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2641194&tstart=0
I sent an email to itunes support and wait for their answer.
The problem is does Apple will do something to stop these problem.
I see that other person has encounter the same problem with "hack" purchase.
Wait for apple answer...

• In-app purchase not delivered.

Well, it's my first time encountering such problem.
I made an in-app purchase through my iPhone4.
After days, I have yet to receive my purchase but my account has been billed and deducted by Apple.
I've contacted the developer and they asked me to request for a refund from Apple.
Is that even possible?
I did not uninstall the app after making the purchase. Waited patiently but nothing happened.

Contact iTunes at expresslane.apple.com

• Purchased But No Download

I purchased a song but it didn't download. Will I still be charged? Should I re-purchase or wait and see if it downloads? I went to "Check For Purchases" and it said I was up-to-date.

Log into your iTunes Store account and take a look at the Purchase History. If the track is shown there, then you'll need to contact the iTunes Store using the form at the bottom of their web page. They'll probably then reset the download for that missing track.
If the item isn't shown in your purchase history, then the purchase may not have gone through. You can probably just buy it again, but it's possible that a a duplicate charge may show up in a couple of days. If it does, contact the Store through the link above.
Regards.

• Using a 30" Cinema Display with new Mac Pro

Hello Everyone:
I just purchased, and waiting to arrive a new 2014 8 core Mac Pro which is an upgrade to my 2009 quad core Mac Pro. I currently use a 30 inch Apple Cinema display which has the DVI connection. I was thinking that I would use a DVI to HDMI adapter and plug the 30" into the HDMI port on the new Mac Pro. I have since heard that people have been having issues with this older monitor getting it to work properly with the new mac pro. some have suggested buy the $99 mini display port to DVI adapter and using that, but I don't believe there is a mini display port on the new mac pro.
I have considered buying a new thunderbolt display because I am assuming that it will have a much better image quality than the older 30 in display but I hate the fact that it's a 27" and I would be giving up the 3" in size. I do a lot of video and audio recording editing and love the extra screen real-estate. Can anyone confirm a couple of things for me?
1. Will the 30 inch display work with a new mac pro and can I use the DVI to HDMI adapter?
2. Does the new Thunderbolt display have a much better image quality than the 30 in display and because its newer, will look that much better with the mach pro?
Thank you in advance.

1. Will the 30 inch display work with a new Mac Pro?
Yes.
Can I use the DVI to HDMI adapter?
Not if you want full resolution. You need a Mini DisplayPort to dual-link DVI adapter
<http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB571Z/A/mini-displayport-to-dual-link-dvi-ada pter>
It plugs into a Thunderbolt port (and USB port) on the computer.
2. Does the new Thunderbolt display have a much better image quality than the 30 in display and because its newer, will look that much better with the Mac Pro?
No, it has more pixels (in the vertical direction), but they are spaced a bit more apart, so you don't want to be as close to the display.

• What is the best time to buy the 13" Retina MBP???

Seeing as though the Macbook Air just got updated should i take my chances and buy the 13" Retina Macbook pro now or should i prolong my purchase and wait for a MBP w/retina update? & If i wait do you think this update will come before My return to school?

No one here knows when or if Apple will be coming with a new Retina, MBP or anything. If you need it now, buy it. If you can wait till school starts, wait. Then make YOUR decision. No sense pining.

• IDVD 7.1.2 will not burn a iPhoto11 slideshow

Is there a problem between iphoto 11 9.2.1 and iDVD 7.1.2?
I created a slideshow using iphoto and using SHARE IDVD (which the iDVD software was open) it moved the slideshow over to my theme project in iDVD.
I could view and play. Now I wanted to burn it to a DVD. The iDVD when through all it processing makes it to Multiplexing & burning.... does the asset parsing, then goes into multiplexing, from there I get an error message "Multiplexer Error... error during building.... the disk is still untouched...".
So looking at your last download fixes for idvd in july 2011 update was to fix the slideshow problem and it has not. Is there a problem between iDVD and iPhoto 11? Will Apple come out with an update, or fix, or a new software that one will have to purchase?
Waiting on Apple

It appears that there is a missing part of the system:
Library not loaded:
/Library/Frameworks/NyxAudioAnalysis.framework/Versions/A/NyxAudioAnalysis
Download and use Find Any File to search for NyxAudioAnalysis. If you find it and it's in the correct location reboot and try iDVD again. If you don't find that file you can try reapplying the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 updater to see if that will install that file.
