Purchase orders and requisitions - R12 user interfaces

Hi,
I see that the purchase order can be registered in the system by two different interfaces (I'm running R12.1.1): Using Oracle forms (Navigation path: Purchasing Super user: -> Purchase orders -> Purchase orders) and using Java html pages (Navigation path: Purchasing Super user: ->Buyer workspace ->Orders).
I have two questions:
1. The second option (using java pages) is not documented in the usersguide. Is it fully in production or they are still developing it? Why there are two different interfaces for the same purpose?
2. I see that from Java pages interface I can only see requisitions, but I cannot enter new ones (Navigation path: Purchasing Super user: ->Buyer workspace ->Requisitions). Should I enable somewhere this or the requisition is not developed using Java pages interface?
Thank you

  • WF - Purchase Order and Requisition

    hi,
I'm work with 4.6c release 620. I set as active the trace of events workflow. But when i work with me21n, me51n and me54n my trace(swel) dont show nothing.
How can i work with workflows and objects?
    Object: BUS2012, BUS2009..etc.
    thanks,
    Alexandre

    Alexandre,
You need to maintain the customizing node MM-Purchasing-Purchase Requisition-Release Procedure.
The event creation function module checks the tables maintained via the above customization and will trigger the requisition events only if the field T16FC-FRGWF is set to 1 or 9.
Ask your functional contact to configure the release procedure to suit the above.

  • Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and Receipts

    Hello all,
The following is the sequence for Purchasing
Purchase Requision -> Purchase Orders -> Receipts
However I have a requirement to bring in the related Purchase requisions, purchase orders and receipts from 11i into R12 instance.I can do that using the open interfaces. However How do i link these 3 objects together?
I intend to import the purchase orders first and then import its related purchase requistions and the receipts...In doing so how do i link them together. How do i know that this purchase order was created from this Purchase requistion or this receipt is meant for this purchase order? What is the joiing columns in the base/open interface tables?
    Thanks

    Hi Venkat
    1. To perform ATP do we need all the issues(Sales Orders, Deliveries) and receipts(Purchase Requisitions, Planned Orders) in APO?
Yes you need all the mentioned elements above in APO to do ATP check. Again, you can also extend the scope of the check to further more receipts and issues. All  depends on your configuration of scope of check.
    3. I guess in Apo the planned order and process order is a single elment. Is that Correct?
Yes, technically a planned order can be a planned process order or a planned production order.

  • Purchase order and purchasing requisition .

    Hi
What is the difference between Purchase order and Purchase requisition . ?
And why cube are different for them ?
    Regards

A purchase requisition is an internal document that's created to initiate a procurement transaction. The requisition is created to identify the materials that are needed to be acquired and when they're needed. Once completed by the initiator, it's sent to the appropriate approvers.
Upon approvals of the requsition have been provided, and a vendor is selected, a purchase order is created. The purchase order is an external document whereby an agreement is made to procure the materials at an agreed upon price and delivery schedule
The InfoCubes for each of these is different due to the nature of the documents (internal v. external).

    Hi Melanie,
How are you trying to check for the PR number? Are you accessing it via Portal (IE) or the GUI?
If you are trying to get the PR number for a SC through Portal. Then please follow the below process.
Go to the SC > Related Documents tab
The related Documents tab should have all the follow-on document number along with the type of document.
If you are trying to get the PR number for a SC through GUI, then:
Go to transaction BBP_PD in GUI > Give the Object Types as BUS2121 and the Object ID as the SC number and click on F8.
Once you have opened the SC then scroll down till you get the Header Links and click on the line.
This should display the document that is linked to the SC.
    Hope this helps.

  • Purchase order and service entry sheet

    Hi
Is there a way to prohibit modifications on the position of services purchase order when the service entry sheet and the invoice were already entered for that position?
Thanks in advance for your help
    Tomas

hi, thanks for your help, but the problem that i have is when the service entry sheet and the invoice are allready entered, the user change the value of the position and the service tab, so the user can enter services for more amounts. So its produce difference on the purchase order history between the values of LERF (WE) and the value of the purchase position. For example
Service Purchase order for 100 dollars.
Tab service: 2 units for 50 dollars
The user enter one service entry sheet for 50 and the invoice for 50 (lerf and WE= 50)
Then the user change the position of the purchase order and increase the value to 100 and modifies the service tab to 1 services for 100.
Then he enter one service for 100 and the corresponding invoice..........so the result is the following:
    Service purchase position: 100
    LERF-WE: 150
so the purchase order history is inconsistence.
For that reason i whant to know is there is a wat to prohibit modifications on the position of purchase order
Thanks in advnace for your help

Go to transaction code ME23N and then at item level click on tab called u2018Purchase order historyu2019 for the particular item. You can see both GR & Invoice doc. No.
Transaction ME2L to see the open PO.In the selection screen of this T code please select Scope of List u2013 ALV AND Selection Parameters u2013 WE101 . Then execute. You will get open Pos.

ME2M serves my requirement  upto little but i cannot see the delivery dates in that report.

    Thanks
    Alahari

Use the table EKPO and EKKO
adhoc querry is a tool in which we can create report
to get report we have to use three t. codes
1.sq03-->is for to create user group
    2.sq02--.is for infoset Querry
    3.Sq01-->for exact querry
try with these codes or revert with ur response
follow the link for query creation
    First check this link,
    SAP Query Creation
SAP Query -A Reporting Tool for Functional Consultants(Part 2)
    SAP Query 1
SAP Query -A Reporting Tool for Functional Consultants (Part 1)
Always after going to SQ02 or SQ01 T Code ,first click on Environment in the menu ->Query Areas-->
Standard Area Client specific and then start creating the Infoset or else the query.
Still if you are not satisfied means, please revert back.

  • Migrate Open items - Sales orders/ purchase orders and unbilled deliveries

    Hello All
Can you please tell me the best practice to migrate open sales orders, purchase orders and deliveries due for billing at Cutover to the new system?
Also how can the historical data be migrated? What all comes under historical data?
    Many Thanks
    CM

The way the sales order data is migrated is largely dependent on the number of orders you are intending to migrate. 'Best practice' would suggest you do the following:
    1) Do not migrate any completed orders (they should be kept as 'read only' in the legacy system)
    2) Get the business to close as many orders as possible before the cutover
    3) Stop entry of any new orders during the cutover the period - hold them back and enter them directly into SAP.
Once you have a manageable numebr of orders to migrate you really have two options:
Upload the basic order into SAP (we have usually done this from a spreadsheet using ALE or some similar tool). The basic data is confirmed to order type, order number, order date, customer number, material code and quantity. Any data in addition to this is then added manually to the system by the users e.g. pricing info (this is really important as pricing data is really difficult to map). To do this you will need to have sequenced this correctly e.g. ensuring that the data and config for both the materials and customers are all already in the system before you load the orders.
The second option would be to load them all completely manually - which is why I said at the beginning that really, the best approach is determined by the quantity of orders you need to migrate.
I am sure other people will have used other methods but these two are the ones we usually use.
(edit) P.S. you must remember that 'open' sales orders are any orders that are not yet billed so even if an order is delivered in your legacy system if it has not been invoiced you MAY need to migrate it. But as I metioned at the beginning - it would really be better to complete that order (i.e. bill it) before you close the legacy system so that it does not need to be migrated.
    ========
For deliveries - again, there is no simple fix for this. Because the migration of a delivery demands the migration of an open sales order, the best approach is probably to load the sales order basic data, get the users to complete the sales orders (as described above) and then run the delivery due lists or manually and individually deliver each sales order item.
You cannot migrate ONLY the deliveries, you need to migrate the preceeding order(s) as well. But, again, if you take the approach of closing as many as possible in the legacy system, it will be much easier than migrating them.

  • Jump from Sales Order to Purchase Order and back again (all in change mode)

    Hi,
    Situation is this:
      - Sales Order is created with 10 items. 4 items are created with connection to Purchase Order.
      - User open Sales Order in change mode
      - User goes to item 20 that has a related Purchase Order
      - User wants to jump to related Purchase Order and make an update here
      - User wants to be able to jump back to Sales Order Item 20 from Purchase Order
When user jumps to Purchase Order in change mode, then this Purchase Order will also block the same Sales Order, that was open. This can be handled with dequeue and enqueue.
Problem is that when Purchase Order is saved it will make an update to the Sales Order in the background. When user jumps back to Sales Order then this Sales Order is still open with old data and these data does not reflect data that can have been updated by the Purchase Order.
Also: When Purchase Order is making updates to the Sales Order then e.g. Message Out Table NAST is automatically updated (insert and delete records). If user then manually updates the Sales Order with old information, then System Dump appears as Sales Order tries to insert NAST records, that have already been inserted or delete NAST records that have already been deleted via the Purchase Order.
This means that when user jumps back from Purchase Order to Sales Order Item 20 then Sales Order needs to be refreshed with new data after Purchase Order has saved the Sales Order.
Are there any solution to do this in a standard way (from within SAPMV45A) ?
I prefer not to reopen Sales Order using syntax like CALL TRANSACTION.

    Hi,
    Thanks for reply.
In third party PR gets created automatically but PO gets create manually. So changes get refelect in PR only not in PO.
Can you give me the solution for completing this task.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Fetching the price of the purchase order and charge it in my SO

    Dear, gurus
I am doing services mto and even Repair services of customers machinery. I would like to fetch the price incase of purchase order and charge the customer for that purchase in my Sales Order. Is there a way to automatically fetch the price? Or how can I cover this scenario?
Ex: I receive customers machine and in my plant or workshop I do not have the tool needed or a specialist so I hire someone for the job so I buy or rent it or him from a vendor and in return I want to charge my customer for that purchase.
    Any Ideas?
P.S. this is not a 3rd party sale scenario its just a simple Sales Order. I was able to fetch the price from the production order with condition type EK02. Is there any condition type for purchase order price fetching?
    Thanks

    Amitesh
How did the outcome come out as? meaning did that user exit price fetch appear in a condition type in the billing document? If so which one?
Also, where is the relationship or linkage made from PO to SO? Like how in the world would your sales order know that a purchase order was done. I mean it really is a weird process I mean first the SO should be created then that should trigger the PR and that gets converted to a PO as rightly stated in book terminology. But in this case of first a regular sales order, then out of sap we give our requirement to mm purchasing dept and tell them we need such and such. Once they buy it there is a price which in return we need to charge our customer. Everything can be done manually.
From my own logic of looking at what you described in the user exit. I presume that from abap side they will only pull a table and field data and populate it where I want it?
In the PR there is a place where you can assign acct cat C to the sales order and item line what exactly is this for? GL acct are assigned for which purpose or What is it doing? Also, the purpose of that cost center?

    Hi
    1. Check all the call is handled the release function(JCO.releaseClient(client)) for each call.
    2. And check in finally
    finally {
         try {
         if (client != null) {
           JCO.removeClientPool(SID);
           JCO.releaseClient(client);
