Purchase photo shop 7

I need to purchase Photo Shop 7 or something compatible does Adobe still sell Photo Shop 7 or do I need a newer version. My computer crashed and I lost the old program Photo Shop 7 in the move.

Photoshop 7.0 hasn't been sold by Adobe for a very long time.  Even Photoshop Elements 7 is way out of date.
If you need a full, modern version of Photoshop, consider the Creative Cloud Photography subscription plan:

  • Is it possible to download a previous version of Photo shop (ie. cs4 or cs5)?

Is it possible to download a previous version of Photo shop (ie. cs4 or cs5)? I purchased Photo shop CC for my windows computer but when I attempted to download it to my mac I was told that my computer does not meet the system requirements.

I don't know your OS, but I'll assume Snow Leopard 10.6.8  In which case Photoshop CS6 would be the best especially if you have a cloud membership like the Photography Plan.
Download Photoshop CS6 Mac here Download CS6 products
Install and sign into it with your Adobe login.

Take it up with the app developer first. If they won't respond then you can take it up with iTunes support.

Assuming you got it directly from Adobe as a download, click on the red logo near the top-left of this page.  Then click the [ Manage account ] button.  After logging-in you should be able to find all the information on products you've purchased.

  • I am totally lost on navigating these forums...Reloading Acrobat, Bridge, and Photo Shop Elements

I posted this question somewhere and a couple people answered it, but I cannot find it for the life of me!  I am navigating different browsers trying to get back to my old Firefox, which I think I've managed to do.
My computer went in the shop and had to have a damaged hard drive replaced.  How do I re-load the software without getting dinged for it again?  I do not know what versions I had to start with.  Acrobat was a free version?  I think?  Old...  Photo Shop was newer...I think PSE11 or later...not the latest though.  And it was not subscription, which I definitely do NOT want!  I have no idea the version of Bridge I had.  I'm operating on OS X Yosemite.
And please do not respond asking me to Skype you because the shop did not put Skype back on my computer, and Skype decided it did not like my attempts at my password OR my attempts at changing my password, and has suspended my account.  And I cannot remember when I signed onto Skype so I cannot get my account back without a lot of my time being wasted.  Just another frustration.  I may just trash it.  I never use Skype anyway...
A very frustrated technology illiterate person...

You will need to figure out what programs you had so that you can redownload and install them.

To do that you should be able to find them if you log into your Adobe account online and look under the My Products section.  If you cannot figure out how to get into your online account I don't know what else to tell you beyond try to contact Adobe support and see if you can convince them to help you.  Without anything to tie you to having purchased Adobe software that might be difficult.

Hi I have the old photo shop elements 10 on my computer and want to update and was wondering what the differences between photoshop, lightroom and photoshop elements are?
Also when I upgrade does it have to be with a monthly membership or can I just purchase the product out right like you use to be able?

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.

I do not know where there is such a comparison table as you seek, but someone else might, or you can google.

  • I currently have iPhoto on my new 27" 17, iMac. What is the best photo editing software. I have photo shop elements on my previous mac which I liked many features.

I currently have an imac 27", i7.  I have iphoto on this computer. What is the best photo editing software to purchase or download?
On my previouw mac I had Photo Shop Elenemts and Photoshop CS3. Both of the later had features that I liked.
I am an amatuer family photographer; What is the best photo editing software. I do not think I need the power and confusion of full version photoshop.

I take it you are looking for replacements for the apps you used on a previous Mac?
I do not have Photoshop Elements, so I do not know about compatibility. But this site will tell you:
    http://roaringapps.com
Photoshop CS3 does run in OS 10.9.1. (I use it just about everyday.) You do not have to give it up.
And there is Gimp, which is free and powerful.

  • Photo-Shop 5.5 compatible with OSX?

    Hi All...
My son purchased an OsX-based machine this past summer - I'm not sure if it's panther or tiger... I came upon a used version of Photo-Shop, version 5.5 . Among the system requirements it includes "PowerPC based Macintosh computer, Apple System Software 7.6 or later".
Not being at all familiar with Mac - sorry, if I didnt make a living developing Windows software, I'd cut over in a heartbeat... - I'm a bit skeptical whether this software will run or not. I do realize the OsX machines have a very different operating system based on Unix. If it will run the software, I'll give it to my son as a Christmas gift - if not, I wont bother.
Will the newer OsX operating system support PhotoShop 5.5 that requires a PowerPC-based machine?
Thanks for your help in advance and happy holidays!
    Curt

If he bought one of the new machines that are based on the Intel processor then he won't be able to use any programs that require the Classic Mac OS. It isn't just a matter of OS X, in older machines you can run pre-OS X programs in a kind of emulation environment inside OS X. But the new machines that have the Intel architecture won't do that. There is an emulation mode, called Rosetta, that will run programs built to run OS X applications that were for the PowerPC machines. The oldest version of Photoshop that meets this requirement is version 7, or Photoshop Elements version 2 and up. Any program for PowerPCs that are also pre-OS X won't run on an Intel machine.

  • Photo Shop Light Version?

Is there a "light" version of photo shop that is less expensive but still has a lot of good features? I would like to use it for my blog.

Photoshop Elements is not part of the Cloud, so it is a one time purchase of "about" $79
Check the Adobe store, or a retailer such as Amazon

  • Photo shop cs6 download

I just bought a photo shop cs6 on this internet about 15 minuts ago pressed the down butten and it just put me on your member page. I checked my credit account you got $96.00 I am checking out my computer and I have no down of a photo shop cs6. Whats up?

This is not a forum for resolving purchasing issues, which is what it sounds like you might have.  If you have only been charged $96 then it sounds like you purchased a Creative Cloud subscription rather than Photoshop CS6.  Photoshop CS6 costs quite a bit more than that, even as an upgrade.

  • Photo shop compatibility vs my semi old computer (first time with photo shop and first time poster)

My computer is unable to run photo shop CC and so on because my computer isn't compatible for being old. I was very sad to find out after purchasing. I did not check the compatibility because again, my computer isn't that old. I'm stessing out until i get a new computer because I really need photoshop for my photography. I think that the CS6 version or even lower would be compatible for my computer until I am able to afford a new one. I run a dell windows 7 I believe. where can i download the older versions of photo shop so i can stop stressing?? thanks

You can get CS6 at the link below.  Be sure to follow the VERY IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS or it won't work.

  • IPhoto, Adobe Photo Shop Elements, & Photo Files

Just noticed that Photo Shop Elements is on sale this week.  If I purchase/download it, will I lose my iPhoto library?  I have version '09, 8.1.2 (424).  I've never upgraded to a newer version of iPhoto for fear of losing my library, based on some of the comments from other forums.  I do have my computer backed up via a LaCie drive and have had to reload my library once before. (It's very scary when you think you've lose 30K photos!)

Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
    Screenshots are from PSE 10
Note 1:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.
Note 2:  editing a RAW file with either PSE or PS creates a new file which must be saved outside of iPhoto, i.e. the Desktop, and imported as a new photo into the iPhoto Library.
