Purchase requisition not generate for dependent requirement after MRP run

Hello PP expert,
In our MTO scenario after MRP run planned order generate for header material but no PR generate for BOM components, (BOM not explode) when we run MRP component level in MD02 PR generate, system showing message "40- No coverage not provided by master plan" in MD04 order tree. this problem coming after when we DIMP applied. I checked some OSS note also.
Can any one provide right solution.

Rounding of Decimal for dependent requirement During MRP Run

Hello Experts,
I have the following scenario:
We are currently enabling Characteristic Based Planning in our system.
Our one component is selected when two characteristic values are met through object dependencies.
Ex: Component A = Char A= '002' and Char B ='002'
Now we have given the following Usage Probability for the two characteristic:
Char A = 20%
Char B = 15%
And the total PIR quantity is 25 Pcs for Configurable Header.
With the above usage probability and PIR Qty, We have a dependent requirement of 0.75 Ea
((20% X 15%) of 25 Pcs) = 3% of 25 Pcs = 0.75 Ea of the component
Now during MRP Run I want to round the dependent Requiremnet to 1 Ea instead of 0.75 Ea.
Any suggestion towards the solution will be appreciated.

As mentioned we are using Characteristic Based Planning.
The component is selected based on a Selection comdition which is as follows:
Component 721290201000 = $PARENT.BCS_RL_LINE_LOADER = '002' and $PARENT.BCS_RL_WAFER_VENDOR ='002'
When the above two conditions are met the component is selected.
In Characteristic Based Planning we give percentages (Usage Probabality) to the characteristic values like:
$PARENT.BCS_RL_LINE_LOADER/'002' =20%
$PARENT.BCS_RL_WAFER_VENDOR/'002'= 30%
For the Parent which is a KMAT Material we maintain the PIR say 40 Qty.
Now the component qty is calculated as follows:
721290201000 =(20% X 30%) of 40 Qty of parent
721290201000 =(6%) of 40 Qty of parent
721290201000 = 2.4 Qty of component is the dependent req.
Now my requirent is to round the dependent requirenment to 3 during MRP Run. Please note that the purchase requisition got from the above dependent requirement is rounded to 3 qty.
Now I want to round the dependent requirement.

As per my understanding, you are running Third Party Process, if yes then, please maintain the following setting for the same;
Mater Data Settings:
1. Item Category Group as BANS in sales org 2 in MM02
2. in MRP2, in procurement type should be 'F'
SPRO Settings:
1. Item Category TAS: Maintain Billing relevance as 'F'
2. in VOV6 Schedule Line CS: doesn't have Movement type therefore keep the field as blank
3.ASSIGNMENT: assign Schedule line CS to item cat TAS in VOV5 and TAS to order type in VOV4
4. in vov6 Schedule line CS Item Cat as '5' i.e. Third party and account assignment cat as 'X"
Now run the process..I hope this will help you...

means A is a header material and B.C are the component
after MRP run system should be created requirement of component item.
so wht r setting required?

Hi,
First you ask how can you carry out settings not to get DepReq for your components than you say system should create requirements for your components.
Please give a clearer picture of your situation and make your question more clearer.
How do you procure your goods (if you do not use MRP)?
If you do not want DepReq for your goods you can:
- remove them from the BOM (use them as text item, use design BOM - I do not know your situatio)
- you can set the MRP type in material master as 'ND' (not planned) (MM02 > MRP1)
Please give more information.

MRP Purchase requisition not generating to Max stock

Hello Gurus,
We have implemented consumption based planning. Purhcase requisitions are automatically created based on the stock reaching reorder point.
MRP type used is VB
Lot Size   used is HB
Min lot size       is 1
Max lot size     is   11
Rounding value is 1
MRP is run using program RMMRP000 setup as a batch job.
But the problem is purchase requisition is generated only for 1 quantity. There is no stock available in the plant and there are no open purchase requisitions or purchase orders for the item.
So please let me know what is missing that the lot size HB is not generating PR for max stock.

Multiple PR's generating for same material after MRP

Hi Guru's,
As per my business scenario, i am creating project with WBSE, Activities and BOM.
By using the reference points, i am transferring the BOM to Project, then executing MRP run.
But after MRP run i found that multiple PR's generated for the same Material.
Please find my BOM structure
BOM-->Assembly + raw material
Assembly is consists of
Sub-Assembly+ 2 raw materials
Sub-Assembly consists of
1 Raw Material.
as per this i should have 4 PR's after MRP but system is generating 8 PR's.
Please tell me where i am doing wrong

Hi,
I find the reason why it is creating the multiple PR's for the same component.
It is because of the BOM status. Please find the attached scree shots for the BOM structure and BOM status.
As per my requirement the Planned Orders should be created for "BOM" and "Assembly" and 3 PR's should be generated for Components.
Initially i maintained BOM status as "4" for "BOM" due to that system is exploded the BOM twice i.e., for "BOM" and "Assembly" and generated PR's twice and two planned orders for "BOM" and "Assembly" along with their components.
Now to avoid the duplicates PR generation, i have maintained BOM Status as "5" for "BOM"and run MRP.
This time system is generated 3 PR's and 2 Planned Orders.
As per as PR's is concerned there is no issue. Coming to the Planned Orders there is a issue that, the components are not copied into order which is generated against "BOM" (BOM Status-5) and components are copied into order which is created against "Assembly"(BOM tatus-4)
But as per my requirement, the components should copied in both the orders.
So please tell where is the wrong in this..

Sales Order Assignment not seen in Production order after MRP Run

Hi,
I am running a Scenario with Strat 50.
I am maintaining Strat 50 thru MRP Group in MRP 1 View.
Creating Production Order through Sales Order.
When i am running MRP thru MD02 I am able to convert it to Planned Order but when i convert Planed Order to Production Order, i am not able to get Sales Order assignment in production order

Dear Harris,
Sales order planning is done via MD50 not MD02.Hence,please execute the MRP run via MD50.
This will copy the requirement from SO and the appropriate procurement proposal will be generated,say planned order.
Here we will be able to view the sales order assignment.

Stop purchase requisition being generated for third party scenario

Hi All,
I have a requirement that in case of third party order the Purchase Requisition should Not be created if the order has a header level Delivery block.
How to fulfill this requirement?

Plor not generated for components during Heuristic planning run

Hi experts,
i had run planning run PP_02 run in PPDS and i am able to see dependent requirment for componenets but my question is its not generating planned order for my components. Please let me know if i had missed any config.
Second point is i am planning to run 1. Infinit planning runa nd then finit planning run ( PP-02 and MRP_02).please suggest.
Third is when i run planning run (Product heuristic its giving me an error saying it space constrains.Please suugest me.

Hi,
With the heuristics SAP_MRP_002: Product planning (plan comp. immediately) , components that are defined as being planned automatically and immediately are planned using a simple lot-sizing heuristic.
SAP_PP_001 is for Changing orders manually. Better choice may be to use SAP_PP_002: Planning standard lots. We use this heuristic to create new receipt elements in order to cover product requirements

Unfirmed purchase reqs not getting cancelled in the background MRP run

Good morning,
The system has created Purchase requisitions for 2010 due to the setting in the MRP run. we want to change it to planned orders outside the Vendor lead time and when i run a REGEN MRP with setting 2 (Purchase requisitions in opening period) its not happening. When i run indivudual MRP with MD03 with the same setting its alright, purchase requisitions are deleted and its converted into Planned orders. Can anyone please throw some light on to make backgrouond MRP run delete the Purchase requisition and create planned orders.

You must delete the offensive PRs first. Regardless of the MRP settings, MRP will still decide that the PRs are valid and will leave them alone. It will not 'change' them into planned orders.
Run Regenerative MRP with your new settings (Create purchase reqs as '2') but also run your MRP in planning mode '3', delete and recreate planning data. It will delete all existing unfixed purchase requisitions, and then run MRP.

Purchase Requisition not getting generated

Hi,
In month of April some requirement is given in MD61. When MRP is run, it is not generating planned orders for raw materials. This is because already someone has created manual Purchase orders for those materials.
But system should not consider these Pruchase orders as these are of month july and august and NOT of current month.So system instead of considering raw material as available, it should create fresh planned orders for raw materilas for current month.
Please guide if there is any customizing for it??

Please read the answer of the experts and try to understand it before asking again.
The reason why SAP won't create new PldOrd or PurReq in your case is:
1. April; DepReq 200 pcs > - 200 pcs
2. May; PO 200 pcs > + 200 pcs
-200 pcs + 200 pcs = 0 pcs
1. That's why from MRP point of view there's no problem with the quantity - the requirement is covered by the PO item.
2. As far as the scheduling is concerned there's some problem because you need the goods in April but the PO is for May. That's why SAP gives an exception message after MRP run (check it in MD04 in the "Exception" column) that you should receive the goods earlier...
So, please understand that qty is ok, scheduling is not ok. MRP gives an exception message that you have to negotiate with your supplier and procure the goods earlier than it was planned originally.
But MRP won't create new procurement proposal (PldOrd / PurReq) since it would cause a balance different from 0. MRP can't change the requested delivery date on PO as well, since this depends not only on you but your supplier has to agree too.

Purchase requisition not getting generated in MD04

     if i have my material with MRP type VB & my ROL is 10. Now if my stock at present is 0.74KG & if i do the MRP run with MD02 then my purchase requisition is getting generated.now i delete the purchase req & try it with MD01 for the whole plant but the same does not happen when i do the MRP run with MD01. my purshase requistion for the same material never gets generated. can anyone tell me what m i missing. following parameters are maintained by me in MD01 & MD02

REquirement not generated for component of Phantom Item

Dear Gurus,
We have a scenario where A,B,C and D are part of multilevel BOM. A is finshed product. B and C are phantoms. D is RM.
A is level 1, B level 2and C level 3. D is component of C.
After MRP run, we found that requirement is generated for Material A. However, corresponsing requirement of material D is not generated. Could you please suggest what can be the problem ?

The parameters maintained by you are more or less OK.
Your issue is : you are not getting requirements for the part for which you have maintained manual reorder point.
It seems you have run MD02.
If you run MD02 requirements for the component with reorder point will not be geneated because it is consumption based planning& it is not requirment based planning.
For getting rquirement for that either you have to run single item single levelMD03 or total planning for the plant.
This is std SAP functionality.

MRP type "VB" components generated dependent reqt. after MRP by sales order

Good morning to all SAP gurus
        I hav scenario for mech. industry where we r going to implement MRP run , having FERT which is MTO scenario and " PD" MRP type.and its BOM components having MRP type "VB" with no strategy type. At MRP run after creating sales order system generated purchase requisition for components(ROH) depends on sales order requirements along with reorder point PR. So please help me system shouldn't generate PR depends on sales order requirements should create as per reorder point PR only.
       EX.   To manu. 1 nos of FERT (PD) required 1 nos of ROH (VB) . we r creating sales order of 10 nos. , reorder pt is 11 and
stock is 15. after mrp run system generated PR for 10 nos which is dependent for sales order.
       Pls elaborate regarding above scenario. Thanks in advance.

Practically speakig , system should generate special stock PR as you are dealing with MTO sales order and MRP should plan the depedent requirement accordingly based on the MRP4 -Indiviaul and Collective Indicator -1 .
But , if you do not want to consider it as special stock , then you need to assing MRP4 Individual and Collective Indicator -2 and run MRP MD02-2,1,1,3,3 .
In you case , you have already stock 15 pc and ROP -10 , so system will not genreate any PR because , it will fullfill the requurement ( 10 PC FERT -10 ROH) .Once the stock fall behind 10 , then it will trigger PR .

Schedule lines are not coming for HALB after MRP run

Dear All,
I am not getting schedule line after mrp run, inspite of all required setting only purchase requisitions are coming.
Material type is HALB and involve a subcontracting process (30). For raw material I am getting the schedule line but in the case of HALB, it is not coming.
Pls let me know if I am missing something and guide me further on this.

Hi,
In transaction OMDT you have to enable the indicator create schedule lines
In MD02 MRP control Prameter here select the Delivery schedules -3- Schedule line. Processing Key as NETCH and Planning Mode - 3 delted and recreated.
Maintain source list ME01, in that put MRP indicator as '2' i.e. schedule lines via MRP.Put your agreement no in that.
If u run MRP properly u will get schedule lines automatically in ME38.
Make the schedule agreement, make it source relevent in the source list make is FIX and MRP indicator as 3.
