Purchased a Bold 9900 but cannot transfer all data/files from my previos Bold 9000

Using Blackberry Desktop Software for PC, using the option of changing device, followed the software instructions and connected first the original device Bold 9000 and copied everything; this step went thru ok. Then disconnected the 9000 and connectec the 9900, copying process starts but stops suddenly indicating an error because of not having correct blackberry app software. I have not been able to move from here. Tried twice to repeat but ends up dame. Thanks for the help. I have a new phone that I have not been able to transfer any data from my previos one.

Just to clarify are you just doing a standard backup and restore or a switch device wizard?
Also can you provide the full error message you're receiving?

    J'utilise Imap et, pour gérer ma messagerie, j'ai créé des boîtes aux lettres dans Local Folsders
    Le passage par Eudora ne fonctionne pas avec Mavericks.
    L'import de boîtes aux lettres depuis Local Folders de Thunderbird (via le menu Fichier) ne permet de transférer qu'un seul courier par boîte aux lettres de Local Folders. Et c'est ce qui m'empêche de passer à Mail.

    hello Lawrence1559, firefox does save all your bookmarks, settings and customizations into the so called [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data|profile folder]] .
    <br>you can copy the whole profile folder on your win xp computer like this:
    * press the windows-key+R and open: ''%appdata%\''
    * a windows explorer windows will open up with a folder named ''Mozilla'' in it - right-click and copy that folder and paste it onto a usb drive or any other way you can transfer it to your new computer.
    * on the windows 7 pc, repeat the windows-key+R shortcut and open: ''%appdata%\'' again.
    *copy the Mozilla folder from your backup into the %appdata% folder of your new pc.
    *you can now download and install firefox from getfirefox.com and should have the exact same setup as on your prior pc afterwards.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 installed but cannot read any PDF file from a Browser window

    I have a new(-ish) PC running Vista and had Adobe Acrobat v9 installed.  However I cannot open PDF files when trying to view from a Browser on a web site.  IE8, Firefox and Chrome all produce the same error that claims I need to install Adobe 8 or 9.  Have searched "Manage add-ons" and found Adobe enabled.  Have hunted around but cannot seem to find a way to fix this.  Any ideas?  This seems so fundamental that it is difficult to believe that (a) it happened in the first place and (b) that there is not an obvious way to fix it!

    Are you on a PC with a profile setup?
    Assuming you are,
    Rename your profile to something like PROFILE.OLD and then relog into the PC.  If the PDF's open without issue, you can remove the Abode folders in the old profile under Documents and Settings\%profile%\Application Data and Local Settings\Application Data.
    Rename the new profile to yet something else like PROFILE.NEWOLD.   Then rename your PROFILE.OLD to its original name.  Confirm that you have removed the above folders from this existing profile.   Perform MIGWIZ I.E. Export files and settings to a folder. Now rename the profiles so that the .NEWOLD is the active profile and run migwiz there - bringing in your old settings.  These steps are only needed if you wish to preserve all the data and settings from your old profile.

    Do you have your original install discs? Or start up discs for the OS version that is installed on your Mac?

  • Cannot convert all VOB files from a video

    A friend had a VHS video put onto a DVD so I could edit it for her in IMovie 09. She told the company what I was going to do, so they were supposed to put it into a format that I could work with in IMovie. Instead, everything came as VOB files. I used Prism Plus to convert them to MPEG4. However, three of the files won't convert. They freeze up after one minute of processing. Research on this forum told me it might be a protection issue, so I used AnyDVD to try to remove that. It didn't help. Another forum post recommended recommended Streamclip. I downloaded that, but it told me I needed a MPEG-2 playback component. This project is beginning to get expensive for something I will only be doing one time. Are there other options? Also, I don't understand why some of the VOB files would convert while these won't. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Actually, if you're not doing any editing beyond separating the different films and are willing to dive into a slightly deeper end of the pool, you can use mpeg streamclip to "demux" the dvds into m2v (video) and ac3 (audio) files and bring these files into dvdsp and set start and ends for each section to make individual dvds.  This will allow you to repurpose the material without any loss in quality.  If you convert the material from the dvd into quicktimes suitable for editing in fcp and then recompress them for authoring back to dvd, you will have some quality loss.  Whether the loss is enough to worry you, you'll have to decide for yourself.

    They don't expire. As far as anyone knows Apple IDs live on forever - if you forgot its password use https://iforgot.apple.com. Good luck with the answers to whatever security questions it asks.

    Right! That's the reason you do not create a new Apple ID.
    As far as Apple is concerned a new Apple ID is a completely different user, with absolutely, positively no access to anything available to any other Apple ID.
    Concentrate your efforts on resetting the password to your old Apple ID. It has not expired, and is the only way to use all your existing iTunes purchases, App Store purchases, computer authorizations... etc. Forget about the new Apple ID you just created.

    Thanks Gail but ive tried that as well as logging oht and back into my accounts on my iphone and mac but I still get that message. I actually found a solution by unckecking my synced music playlist and clicking sync to remove it and then reclicked on my playlist to sync and it actually synced notmally and I got all of my new songs so I wanted to test it again so I clicked on sync again and the message once again popped up until I did the un-syncing and re-syncing again. I guess I will keep doing that in the future even though its annoying but its better than resetting my iphone.

    your new system runs 10.6.8 just fine as has been said and stated many times.
    I would clone it first.
    I would even clone the original system it has.
    And if you have or want to use Lion and then Mountain Lion, fine - I would still keep backups of every OS.
    I am not a fan of putting the OS and Apps plus all the data all on one drive. I like to keep them separate.
    Whatever OS, rerun the last combo update is all and any other updates.
    And by "new Lion" I assume you don't mean 10.7 but "Moutain" 10.8.  Part of me says keep Lion and SL around, and test and try out ML with your apps and other hardware you may have. After too many years, waiting for 10.8.1 - and give everyone time to update their apps and retest.
