Purchased a movie, no longer on iTunes?

Bought the latest KING KONG extended version (with Jack Black) for my kids.  Lost the copy I had in my iTunes library and I cannot find it in the iTunes Store now.  What's up?  I'm afraid to buy movies now not knowing whether they'll disappear or not.

I am in Australia and wish to purchase a movie in the USA itunes store and download it to my windows 7 PC. Can any one help?

You can only buy content from your own country's store, to buy from the US store you will need to be in the US with a US billing address on your account. You can try requesting that the film be added to the Australian store, but unless the film studio/rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • When I purchase a movie rental on the iTunes store the download takes forever before it starts to download

When I  rent a movie in SD from the iTunes store it tells me in the downloads section "preparing to download" and that msg stays there for hours before it downloads the movie, Why?

Perhaps try the "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:

  • When will be be able to purchase music, movies in the Jamaica iTunes Store?

Not sure if this is the correct area to ask this question. I am in Jamaica, i go into the Jamaica store and i cannot purchase songs. I am not sure why i am unable to do.

Apple haven't got agreements in place with the license holders for every region so each store has content particular to the country the store serves. Even though an album is sold worldwide in many cases it's on different labels or controlled by different licence holders in each region or country. Until such an agreement is reached with the licensees for your region Apple won't be free to sell you any music.

  • I can't purchase a movie in iTunes Store

For the last couple of days, I've been trying to purchase a movie (or two) from iTunes Store but it seems to lockup every time. I use a Mac mini 2012 computer as a media base and have purchased dozens of movies from the Store over the years onto this unit.
Simply, every time I select a movie's "Buy..." button, I get the spinning beach ball after a couple of seconds and it ends up spinning indefinitely (or at least 2 hours as far as I've allowed it). I tried 2 different movies. I tried logging out/in to iTunes account. I tried restarting Mac mini.
    Nothing has worked so far?
Not sure why this is happening as it's never happened in the past w/ this very set up.

While you can redownload most past purchases without charge, you can't redownload movies without paying again.  See Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

  • How to purchase "Movies" through the Canadian iTune store?

Could some one please tell me how to purchase a "movie" through the Canadian iTunes store?
The "Movies" icon only available in the United States iTune store. I tried to set up an account through this US store but was unable due to "no option" for Canadian address.
Back to Canadian iTune store page, but there are no "movies" available for purchase and download.
    Please help.

At present movies are only available in the US iTunes store. There are a variety of reasons for this including copyright and licensing issues in different countries.
You cannot purchase anything from an iTunes store outside of the country in which you live as mentioned in the Terms of Sale.
"You agree not to use or attempt to use the Service from outside of the available territory, and that iTunes may use technologies to verify your compliance."
The Terms of Use for the iTMS state that you agree that you won't attempt to make purchases from outside the store's country. The chance is small that Apple will cut off your account, but just be aware that it is possible. They certainly won't support your use of the US iTMS from Canada if you do have any problems.

  • TS3623 I purchased a movie on Apple TV; I get sound, but a frozen video picture. How do I resolve this?

I recently purchased a movie from AppleTV from iTunes. I tried to watch it; the video is frozen, though the sound is normal. I tried switching chapters, the chapters list normally with other scenes from the movie, but when I go to those chapters all I get is that same single frozen video of a scene about a minute into the movie; though the sound is correct for the chapter I chose. I have tried rebooting the Apple TV and when I went to support, they refused to help me because they claim my apple TV is too old! Other movies play fine. ANy suggestions?

The following should help you, from user Trrlightning:
"Depending on your region all you should have to do is go into iTunes  and click iTunes Store. You should see "Purchased" on the right under Quick Links. Click Movies, then the cloud symbol under the movie name."
    Hope this helps

  • We have purchased a movie on Apple TV (2) and its taking too long to load, so we want to watch movie on Itunes on the computer but can't find rented movies on the MAC

We have purchased a movie via Apple TV (2) and its taking too long to load, so we want to watch movie on Itunes on the computer but can't find rented movies on the MAC iTunes

Movies rented on Apple TV aren't transferable to another device. If its taking awhile to load then its an issue with your network.
What is your speed via speedtest.net
    1080p requires 8mbps
    720p needs 6mbps
You can change to SD in settings
Interference can cause issues, verify via istumbler or netstumbler
Should be using ISPs DNS (settings - network - DNS should be automatic)

  • If I purchased a movie, from a computer a LONG time ago like 3 years but recently I changed computers how can I get that movie back? p.s. I bought the movie from iTunes

If I purchased a movie, from a computer a LONG time ago like 3 years but recently I changed computers how can I get that movie back? p.s. I bought the movie from iTunes

If you don't have the movie on the old computer and you don't have the movie backed up on a disc somewhere, your only choice is to purchase the movie again. Currently, movie downloads are a one time deal andit is your responsibility to have a backup copy.
If you have the movie on the other computer still, you can burn it to a DVD and then copy it over to the new computer.
Personally, I have two computers and when I make a purchase on one, iTunes automatically copies it to the other and I have never lost videos or music in this manner.

  • My Media Server (Seagate NAS 220) downloads purchases to a download folder inside iTunes. How can I move

    Hi
I have a really large iTunes library. Yesterday I purchased a movie from the iTunes store and couldn't find it. I located it in a download folder on my NAS inside itunes with a plist.
How do I move it to the library? I tried to copy and paste but it doesn't work.

I have iTunes on a Mac with the iTunes Media folder stored locally and the music on an external USB-HD. The music files are Not copied to iTunes Media folder when added to the library.
How are you achieving the above? What are your copy setting in preferences? If you are manually overriding the copy-to by holding down the option key while adding media then that won't apply when you import a playlist (as in importing the .xml).  When you import a playlist like that you are essentially adding the files to the library again and it will obey the  preferences setting since you can't option add them that way.
Correct on the .itl.  Only iTunes itself can edit that file.
I think you need to review your basic wants/needs in doing all this.  If your reason for not wanting to use the Media Folder settiing is because you do not want it to go on the internal drive, but you don't actually mind if it organizes it as long as it is on the NAS, change the Media Folder preferences setting to the NAS and let it consolidate to there.  If you want to move the stuff but keep it organized in your own folder structure you may need to do it as I suggested initially.  Once it is on the NAS and iTunes recognize the file locations you can do what you can only do if you manually manage music which is move it around in Finder afterward once it is on the drive and recognized to tweak location to your final wishes.

  • I purchased Puss In Boots from the iTunes store and can no longer find it in iCloud

I purchased this movie several months ago and up until today have been able to watch it in iCloud.  I no longer find the movie in iCloud or anywhere in the iTunes store.  How do I get the movie I paid for?

    The link I provided says:
"Previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer on the iTunes Store."
When I wrote "that can't be right" I wasn't referring to the link you provided, I was referring to the line from your post that I quoted aka...
Do not rely upon Apple keeping anything...The re-downloading feature is an unreliable bonus, not a storage service.
While this thread (mostly because of me) now somewhat conflates purchases made on a computer via the iTunes Store and purchases made from the iTunes Store via an AppleTV, I am referring to AppleTV purchases, and I stand by my assertion.
My point was - and I'll state it again more clearly - is that the entire purpose of the AppleTV product is that you do NOT store your purchases separately, that they are available for STREAMING at your whim.  Apple does not need to explicitly state this.  It is inherent in the product they sell.  AppleTV is a media streaming product.  And, in fact, their own press supports my assertion:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/inside-itunes/2012/03/movies-now-available-on-icloud .html
"Movies have joined music, TV shows, books, and apps in iCloud, which means that iTunes movies are as easily re-watchable as your DVD...iTunes stores your movies in iCloud, and they can be downloaded again to your various devices at any time...Movies are stored in iCloud, no hard drive required."
Apple specficially states the movies can be "downloaded again at any time" -- and "no hard drive required".  This online storage is not a "separate bonus" -- it is part of the deal.  It is a separate matter (and irrelevant to my point) whether one can TRUST Apple to always be there providing that streaming service or whether it would be prudent to back-up any movies one downloads.
My point was how the product AppleTV is supposed to function.
    Have a good one.

  • Movie not on my itunes that i just purchased!

I was watching a movie I just purchased on the itunes store, "step mom", as part of my term research paper.  I was over half way through the movies, Itunes was no longer responding and I had to close the page and restart.  Everything showed up fine, except my movie is no longer there.  I went on the itunes store to double check for purchase and it said I already purchase this movie but its not on my itunes... What is up?

Have you tried to synce this with iCloud or resotre to factory settings? Try to sync it to your Itunes again and lets hope for a good result.

  • Can't transfer purchased movie from iPhone to iTunes library

I purchased a movie from iTune store on my iPhone. When I sync'd the iPhone with iTunes an icon was created in iTunes movie library, but there's no movie, just an icon. The purchased movie is still on my phone. I've re-sync'd, re-built iTunes, etc... No luck.
How do I get the movie from the iPhone to iTunes movie library?
I've researched this for a couple weeks and have failed at every turn.
    Any input would be appreciated.

    tried that long ago...:)
