Purchased an album but not everything downloaded

purchased an album and 3 of the videos included won't play, just skips the file when i try to, but they say they are downloaded.. how can i re-download them?

    If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one.
    Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
    Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
    Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
    (Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

    I bought an album on on my laptop for my old iPod. Now I have an iPod touch and i went into the purchased items on the itunes app and it didnt have the album i was looking for in it. I then searched for it in the search bar and it still says i purchased the album but it wont let me download it. There isnt an error that comes up or anything.     Again, how are you trying to "download' it - what options are you selecting to do the download? Also, the forum you posted in is iTunes for Windows, but you also mentioned your iPhone. Where are you trying to download the past purchase? Once I know that, I will be able to provide you with instructions on how to download it again.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings      
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    Assuming these tracks come from the iTunes store and you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the problem tracks from your iTunes library, don't hide from iTunes in the Cloud/iCloud if prompted, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click thePurchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
    While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
    If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

    I had the similar problem last night and found a solution (although it takes more than a few clicks).  Highlight all the album tracks in itunes on the pc and right click "get info". Check the artwork box in this window.  I found that the now playing art was showing up in the itunes window, but on songs that were missing artwork showed nothing in the get info box.  When I replaced the artwork by using the artwork command, or manually adding it into the "get info" window.  It was annoying but my iphone updated every album.

    Settings>General>Software Update is only available in IOS 5 and above.
    If you are using IOS 4, you need to connect to iTune (computer) to update software.

    What happens when you try to buy it, does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?
