Purchased an AppStore gift card in Canada, can I activate it in America?

I had some canadian cash I needed to use on the way out of the country so I stopped at a safeway and bought this gift card. Now I get a message saying the card has to be redeemed at a Canadian Storefront. It is for $25 and I really cant afford to be out the money right now. Please help.

All iTunes gift cards are country-specific, so Canadian gift cards can only be used in Canada on Canadian iTunes accounts. Do you know anybody in Canada that you could sell the card to ?

You would have to get a Canadian iTunes giftcard. But my guess is that they aren't sold outside of Canada. Unless you can locate online

Yes, you can download iTunes for Windows using Parallels. If planning on making purchases here and/or authorizing already purchased tracks (from your Mac iTunes library), you are permitted to authorize five (5) computers as per iTunes Store terms of use, regardless of computing platform. No need to create a separate new iTunes Store account.
However, judging from what you would like to do, your best bet would be to convert the WMAs to AAC/MP3 in iTunes-Windows (iTunes-Mac cannot import WMA files), and drag the files from the Parallels window to your desktop to add to the iTunes-Mac library. (as the iPod itself is currently linked to your iTunes-Mac library)

If you bought an Apple gift card, then you cannot use it in the iTunes store. You can only use it in the Apple store for hardware.
You would need an iTunes gift card to buy anything in iTunes

From what I see and from my experiment in the U.S, online Apple Store, I would say that yes you can. iTunes gift cards are sold in the Apple Online store and Apple Store gift cards are an accepted form of payment on the store, so that means to me that it is possible.

Usually other is files that have been copied to the iPod directly, or space you have told the iPod to reserve for other files by enabling disk use.
