Purchased an unlocked iPhone 4S 64GB in March 2012 while on a vacation to USA. The phone does take up the charge it always shows the red signal whenever the the battery is completely discharged. Am i eligible to get the service in India?
Purchased an iPhone in USA while on Vacation. The phone would not start. The APPLE customer service in India would not provide the desired service. They advised me to send this phone to the country of Purchase for which I have no option. Please advise if there is any other way out or I cremate the phone for good?
Surprisingly the apple site when the serial number is keyed in says that the service is available in India as well. But sadly the personnel on the phone says that the information is incorrect and that Apple has not dispalyed the correct information on the site. Please advise what to do.
There is no catch. Apple offers international warranty on some products i.e. iMac, MacBook Pro etc but excludes the iPhone. This question has been asked and answered numerous times on these forums and if you do a search you will find the advice is consistent in that there is no international warranty on the iPhone.

As kb1951 states, unless this phone was purchased directly from Apple, it is not officially unlocked. In the US, only Apple sells officially unlocked iPhones. The message you got generally means your phone was hacked to unlock it...jailbroken...Apple's servers have detected such & are preventing your phone from activating...there's nothing wrong with the activation servers.
You'll need a sim card from the carrier your phone is locked to in order to activate it. If you don't know what carrier, you'll have to call AppleCare in the US to determine this info. Be aware, US carriers will not authorize official unlocking unless you are a customer that used the phone on their network. Thus, there is most likely no way for you to get this phone officially unlocked.

Hello to everyone. I am planning to purchasing an unlock iphone 4s from an apple retail store. I want to ask if they will open up the package box and the store will activate the phone for me or I'le just pick up the unit still sealed in the box and be the one to activate the phone by myself? I ask this question because as for my knowledge is concerned the process for purchasing an iphone 4s with a contract from a carrier like at&t is different like they are ones who will opened up the package in the store and they activate the phone for you before you pick it up. I dont know if this process is also done for the unlocked iphone 4s that will be purchased at an apple retail store. Or maybe I can ask the apple retail store, that I will pick up the phone in sealed box and will be the one who will activate it. I just want my purchase to be still in sealed box from the store. They will normally activate it in store as their systems will register the phone.
When buying Sim Free unlocked here in the UK, it stays sealed til you get home, or they will help you activate in store. I guess asking in your local store first will be the best course of action. -

Yes - unlocked means unlocked, but if there is a problem that requires an exchange under warranty, the warranty would be honored in the US only. You would need to return to the US for an exchange under warranty.

So, your better off buying a phone at full retail from Verizon for the same $650. It will function properly and, as all Verizon iPhones are sold with the GSM side unlocked, you'll be able to use it on other networks later.

I purchased Adobe Acrobat x Pro recently and installed it, I have compatibility issues vision 2013. The adobe pdf converter plug in stays inactive despite all my efforts to activate it, I need help with this? How can i get the plug in to work with Visio 2013?
For MS Visio (any version) only the appropriate version of Acrobat *PRO* provides PDFMaker for Visio.
For Visio 2013 specifically you must have Acrobat XI Pro (updated to at least 11.0.1).

The iPhone 4S comes automatically loaded with iOS 5, and any updates after iOS 5.0 can be completed directly from on the phone in Settings > General > Software Update. If you are having trouble using iTunes to update software, I suggest you reset iTunes so that you can pair your phone to the computer again, because if you can't see the serial number and capacity, that generally means your phone isn't paired. For any problems this doesn't fix, please contact Apple directly through their automated help line, 1(800)MYAPPLE. -

Now that I have upgraded iPhoto and my iPhone, when I connect my phone to the computer, the phone does not show up in iPhoto and I no longer am asked if I wasnt to import my photos. I haven't upgraded to iCloud yet.

When I press on a land line number, the phone does not call the number, but comes up with a screen to send a text to it. How do I get my phone to default to phoneing a landline? When I press a mobile number in contacts, the phone automatically phones the number. I do not mind this as I hardly ever send texts, but I would like to have the option of what to do. This seems such an obvious issue but I can not solve it even with much web searching. Thanks!
I can't delete my question, so I'll just say that you press on the type of number written in the box to the left of the box you typye the number into. Dumb or what?
