After purchasing app, it has not popped up on my ipod touch screen.

Connect the iPod to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar via control-S on a Pc, option-command-S on a Mac). Then on the right-hand side select the Music tab and select what you want to sync.

I have a new computer and it will not let me sync my ipod touch

I am using a pc with windows 7 and I also installed itunes, but when I want to sync it tells me that it can only sync to one computer, and that syncing would erase all the data on the ipod touch. I need to get pictures, videos and music off my ipod touch.

Will my apps and pictures be deleted when I update my iPod Touch?

Well, my iPod Touch is generation 2 (I think). Anyway, I want to update it except I'm afraid that it might erase all the apps, songs, pictures and movies I had downloaded and synced in it. I don't really have a problem with the songs and movies being deleted, I can always sync it again from my laptop. I'm worried about the apps and pictures. Will they be affected?

As a clarification, the backup that iTunes makes does not include media synced to the iPod like apps, music, synced photos (photos taken by the iPod are backed up). If the media is not in the iTunes library on computer for synced photos), it will not be on the iPod after the update. For what is in the backup see:

My 4g iPod touch does not have a warranty anymore.
Earlier today, the home button stopped working: it feels like it is permanently pressed down and I can't fix it. I tried plugging in my charger but it didn't help.
I got Assistive Touch but then I tapped on 'Favourites' and the pinch thing came up in my lock screen. Then, the touchscreen jut stopped working, so I am stuck with that in my lock screen and only my lock button works.
How do I restart or switch off my iPod (using only the lock button and not the touch screen or home button)
OR how do I restart it via iTunes on my computer?

I just purchased my ipod yesterday and synced it with itunes. When I try to play a song it looks like it is playing on the screen but I have no volume from the speaker or when headphones are connected.

Thank you - I have done this now but resetting and restoring from another device didn't really help. However, syncing via iTunes was a bit more successful as it occurred to me that many of my contacts are in MS Outlook on my PC and I was able to copy them over. There are still some contacts missing and I am continuing to try and figure out where they originate from to try and get them to show up.

You tried what ? If the app is no longer available in the store (can you find it in the main part of the store ?) for re-downloading then you would need to have a copy of it somewhere e.g. on your computer's iTunes, on a backup of your downloads.

I would suggest restarting the iPad and see if the download resumes.

From the Home screen, tap the iTunes icon.

Enter your account name and password.
Click the "OK" button.

There are severall units out there with 4 ink cartridges, not sure about the option to revesre image in the printer, however mirroring an image is possible in most software programs. Even in paint i think.

We won't know until you try the procedure. The reset will not affect the content of the iPod.

You probably cannot get a refund, since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:

It's possible they'll make an exception for you, particularly if the app is defective in some way. If you just don't like or no longer need the app, a refund is unlikely.

It is part of iOS 8, and cannot be removed. You can move the app to another page, or hide it in a folder. You can turn off the notifications for the App in the notifications center control pane.
