Purchased apps not transferred

In preparation for the 5.0.1 upgrade, I selected to 'Transfer purchases from Michelle's iPad'. This seemed to execute (quickly). Nonetheless, when proceeding to upgrade, I get the following message:
"There are purchased items on the iPad “Michelle’s iPad” that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. You should transfer these items to your iTunes library before updating this iPad. Are you sure you want to continue?"
Now, the iOS5 upgrade was disasterous for this iPad (1) and if this upgrade screws up the device, Apple will have lost a customer for all eternity in my wife and my life will be miserable for the foreseeable future!
Any idea why I might still be getting this message and is it safe to upgrade?
TIA,
David

If you are on iOS 5, it is better to do the update via iCloud. First, go to Settings > General > iCloud > Storage & Backup > back up now, to ensure that no data is lost. Then go to General > Software Update, and update directly from the device.

  • Purchased apps not appearing

I have an iPad that has several purchased apps (specifically angry birds). I got an iPhone and angry birds is not available for transfer. What can I do?

There seems to be two problems with purchased apps not appearing. Both separate. For me, all I see is spinning circle until finally the app crashes. Everything else on the store works except the purchased app page. None of the posted solutions work for this type.
Others seem to be able to fix their problems with either signing out of the store and singing back in while, for some, just a hard reboot works.

  • Purchased Apps not appearing in purchased section!

My iPad was recently wiped out.  As a result, I need to reload all of my apps from the app store.  When accessing the 'Purchased' section on the app store, my purchased apps do not appear.  The screen is blank.  If you randomly click on the screen, the individual app wll appear on a new screen.  However, I have a large quantity of apps to download, and I will not be able to do that for every app.  Help!

  • Purchased apps not appearing in history

    Hi everyone,
I am  writing you concerning a problem I have encountered with several apps on  the appstore that, despite being bought, persistently refuse to appear  on my list of purchased items. I have tried downloading them with  different devices, even those that belonged to friends of mine, and the problem remained. It was impossible to find  the apps in the purchase history.
The apps in question are the following:
    - Phantom seeds
    - Juniper's Knot
    - The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
    - Ghost Trick : phantom detective
    - Ace Attorney : Phoenix Wright Trilogy HD
    - Pictures at an Exhibition -Free Adventure Gamebook
    - London Detective Story - English Version
The common element amongst all the above apps is that they are free  (some of them do have IAPs however). My problem is that if the apps are  ever removed from the app store, I will have lost access to the content  I have purchased.
Please feel free to try to download these apps on your idevices and you will see that they do not appear in the purchase history.
Do you know how this issue can be fixes? The developers have declined responsibility and referred me back to Apple's customer service.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
    Best,
    P

Have done what was suggested but no luck.
Have the email receipt of purchase but no links to DL.
    Any help appreciated.

If they were purchased using a different Apple ID than the one your phone is signed in to in Settings>iTunes & App Stores they won't appear until you sign into the other ID.  They also won't appear if they are no longer available in the app store.

  • Apps not transferring from iTunes to iPod

I tried to find a thread about this but couldn't so here goes:
I just bought an iPhone and have found a bunch of apps that i downloaded on my computer's iTunes.
But when I sync my iPhone the apps are not transferred onto the phone. I tried downloading some of them directly from the phone and a message telling me that I already downloaded this app shows up, I can then get it again, but the idea was that I would find them on my mac, and then transfer them to the phone.
There is no error message during syncing, the apps just don't show up.

Are you sure that they aren't on another page of your homescreen?

  • Purchased Music NOT transferring from ITunes to IPod

AArgh. I have an older version of IPod (non-clickwheel) with the latest vesion of IPod Software (2.2) installed AND ITunes 6.0 AND I've repaired permissions, restarted, all the common troubleshooting actions taken place.
My Purchased from ITunes music is not transferring at all to my Ipod. At one point even though I had the latest software I would get a message saying my Ipod Software was out of date , but that's not true.
    ????

I am having the same problem, but I just got a new 4th generation 20GB because my old one died. So I tried transferring my library onto the new iPod and it won't transfer any of the songs that I bought on iTunes. The error message says that my software is too old, but I just updated it numerous times. What is going on!?!?

  • Purchased app not compatible since changing my N8 ...

Having gone through hours attempting to re-download all my apps and settings since installing belle (a nightmare in itself) quite a few of them are no longer available to me!  One in particular that I use frequently is "River Cottage Every Day" a food app - this was a paid for app, so I am unhappy to say the least that it no longer works on my phone... Is there a solution that I am missing or a fix planned for this?

    Hi,
Welcome to the Nokia discussion boards!
We're sorry to hear that you have been having trouble with re-downloading applications on your purchased list. Here are a few solutions you can try:
Why are some apps not available for Nokia Belle?
As Nokia Belle is a major upgrade, this also affects apps compatability and certain apps are not yet compatible. We are nevertheless constantly working with our developers to upgrade apps to Nokia Belle.
Also, with such apps like "River Cottage Every Day", it may be worth you contacting the developers of that application yourself here.
If I lose paid apps after the update to Nokia Belle, will Nokia compensate for that?
First, please check if the app is available for free redownloading from Nokia Store. If not, please contact Nokia Care who will provide support for apps that have been purchased within one year.
Hope this helps you in solving your issue.
    Regards,
    haZey

  • Anyone still having purchased apps not showing up in devices?

Problem since iOS 6. Purchased apps list not showing or crashing on iOS devices.

Purchased section of the App Store does not show up, just crashes like the way apple is slowly crashing with all their mistakes over this past year.
Support has been a joke, just one mistake after another... For change can they actually fix something without breaking it or making it worse????

How di remove unwanted apps that are in purchased but not n devise?

+If you normally sync applications to your device from one computer and then connect it to iTunes on another computer, iTunes will not attempt to sync applications from that library. Applications can only be synced from one iTunes library. If you are connected your iPhone or iPod touch to an iTunes library that you don't normally sync with, you can still transfer purchased applications from the device by choosing File > Transfer Purchases in iTunes.+

  • Purchased Apps not on Purchased List

I purchased an app on my work computer and figured I'd just download it once I got home. However, the app I purchased is only on my work computer, and I can't sync there or else I'll lose everything (except that one app). I checked my Purchased list in iTunes, and there's only music in there. Why can't I access my purchased apps from anywhere I log into iTunes? Does that mean I can ONLY purchase apps on my iphone or at home?

  • Purchased apps not free.

    Hello,
I own an iPad mini and an iPhone 4S. On the 4S, I have many apps that I want to transfer to my iPad mini. I do not want to restore from a back up though. So I knew that on my iPhone, already purchased apps could be re-installed for free as long as I log into the account I used to purchase it. On my iPad, that is not the case, it says the app still costs $1.99, $.99, etc.
    Anyone know a solution?
    TIA, 3chu

Chances are since you had not previously synced your iPad to this computer before, it synced before asking if you wanted to download purchases, so it removed them.  You can easily download apps you've paid for again directly on your iPad.
But the next time you sync your iPad to your computer, turn off automatically sync your iPad, so you can transfer your apps purchases.  To turn off automatically sync, in iTunes on your computer (without your iPad connected), go to Edit > Preferences > Devices and turn off automatically synch iPhones iPads iPods
Now, connect your iPad to your computer via USB.  When it is recognized on the right hand side of your iTunes screen, right click it once.  Choose transfer purchases.  Click on apply in the lower right hand side if the iTunes screen and your apps will now be in your iTunes Apps Library.

  • Purchased apps not displayed under purchases?

I updated to iOS 7 and now my purchased apps are gone from the "App Store > Updates > Purchased" section... Luckily they were backed up to icloud, so I was able to re-install them by connecting to my Mac/iTunes... but now that they are re-installed they still don't show up under "Purchased"... Even if I download a new app, it doesn't show up in there.... so I'm not sure what will happen when an app has an update?
I tried to reset and setup as new thinking maybe there was an issue with the appstore software or something... but it didn't help.
Also tried logging out of iCloud/iTunes on the device itself and logging back in...
    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thank you I think that could be the reason. When I check the apps details they do say compatible with iPhone but they don't show under iPhone apps in the App Store.
