    It depends on the store you bought it from. Read the policies of the store you bought it from, if they are posted on the web. Your "awhile ago" doesn't tell us anything about the number of days. If you have no idea when you bought it, but bought it by credit card, you can usually call the store and ask them with your credit card number to verify when that was. Most stores I've seen have a time limit on returns. Some do not accept refurbished products back. It is best to check with the individual store.

    Try downloading the current version of the iBooks app on your computer's iTunes so that the app is in your account's purchase history. Then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and you should be able to download an older compatible version of the app.

    Well, to paraphrase the old line, "What're you gonna believe, that email or your own lying eyes?"
    The first thing I'd recommend trying is to power down your iPad (press & hold Sleep/Wake until the red OFF slider appears, then slide it to shut down), and then boot it back up and try again. You're resetting a bunch of state signals by doing that and this simple action (the first of a series recommended by Apple in your Users Guide) will quite often clear up these sorts of problems.

    Which country are you in, Indonesia or Australia ? You have to be in a country to use its store, and you can't use a credit card issued by a bank in a different country i.e. if you are in Indonesia then you can only use the Indonesian store and only use a credit card issued by an Indonesian bank.
    For the message to contact iTunes Support, if you haven't already done so then you will need to do as the message says (these are user-to-user forums) :
    - go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
    - click on your country's flag
    - click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
    - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
    - then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    You would have to be physically located in Spain, have a Spanish credit card with a valid billing address in Spain.  The you could set up an account in Spain and use it when you were physically located in Spain.
