Purchased iTunes gift cards and when trying to activate they say invalid. How to I redeem?
I purchased 3 iTunes gift cards and when trying to redeem, it says that they are invalid. I receipt of purchase that the cards were activated. Help, what do I do?
Were the iTunes cards issued in the same country as your account is based (they are only valid in their country of issue) ? If they were and this page doesn't help then you will need to try contacting iTunes Support (you will probably need to give them images of the fronts and backs of the cards, and possibly their receipt) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes

I bought a 4 pack of $25 Itunes gift cards and only 2 will activate. For the second two it just keeps asking for my login. No error message just keeps repeating the login. Is there any way to fix this or did I just lose $50

i have an iTunes gift card on my iPod touch 4g and my balance was $5.86 at the time and i tried to buy Angry Birds for $0.99 and it said insufficient funds, after it said that i checked the remaining balance and somehow it was at $0.36, what happened to all my money i had left which was $5.86?
Go to yur iTunes account and look at your purchase history for recent purchases. Also have yu received any email confirnation of purchases?

Gift cards are only valid in their country of issue - so if you have a Belgian gift card, you will need a Belgian iTunes account in order to use it.

If the total purchase price of the media including any applicable taxes or fees exceeds the balance of the redeemed card, then the difference is charged to your debit or credit card account.

YvesolutionWhat you normally should do when you have an iTunes card that has not been activated is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, or you don't know or can't get to the retailer, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They will ask for a scan of the front and back sides of the card as well as a scan of the receipt

I've been having the same issues too, and thought it was just my outdated computer or account?!
Every time I try to purchase a song, "session has timed out" shows up after I click "agree" to the terms!? I seem to be in the exact same scenario as 'SportsBarn' above: Itunes support have replied repeatedly with the same "solutions" but nothing has helped or even been applicable. I have an older laptop, 2005 Powerbook running OS X 10.4 Tiger so it's not compatible with the latest iTunes 10.5.2 which requires minimum OS X 10.5. I've been using the balance already in my iTunes account (from redeemed giftcards over the past few years) with no problem, until recently (my last successful purchase was October 2011). I wonder if it's the older OS or just a redemption glitch even with newer computers? -

The credit should be on your account.
You shoudl not have to re-enter anything.
It should stay on your account where you can access it from any computer/device with itunes.
Just sign into your account. -
Why do you need my credit card information when I purchase songs from an already purchased Itunes gift card? If I cannot purchase goods with the prepuchased gift cards, then the card is useless and I want my money back.

Just because you are being asked to enter your credit card details doesn't mean that it will be charged for your purchases.

Very very likely that tax is applicable and tax is more than $0.01. You need to add a payment method for the tax. If you add a credit card, the girft card balance will be used up first.
