Purchased itunes music and it not download error 34

purchased music and received error 34.
do I have to purchase it again?
how can I redownload it without having it to repay?

I've had this same error and tried the "fix" suggestion from Ravencroaker 3 times, and the same error appears along with the message, "you've already purchased this song". Also, the error message says iTunes cannot find the server. Yet, I am DL other song files no problem.
This has only happened to one song... so far.
However, this is the more important question below:
Do I get a credit or a refund for the song? Since I paid for a song that I didn't get.
Cheers

I purchased a film and it said download error  purchased extra storage and still can't download this has now cost me for a film I can't watch and extra storage

You need more storage space on the iPad itself - not in iCloud. You wasted your money npbuying that extra storage. iCloud storage is for backups only. It's not like having an external or cloud storage solution where you can off your content and bring it back when you want to.
Go to Settings>General>Useage>Storage and look at your movies, TV shows, photos, apps. You can delete content in there to make more room on your iPad for the movie.

If restarting the computer and iTunes doesn't work you can try one of these suggestions.
    1. If items appear (maybe in grey or different from working songs) but don't play you can try to delete them from your library so they will no longer seem to be there to the iTunes store.
    a) select the item
    b) press option and delete key assuming a mac keyboard
    c) yes, send them to trash
    d) restart Itunes, go to store, check for available downloads, and select download all

Syncing is the only way.  Explain what you mean by "doesn't seem to work."  Exacty, what did you do and what happend.
Are  you sure your iPhone is signed into the same iTunes Store account as iTunes on your computer?

  • Why did the movie I rented from iTunes freeze and will not download?

I just rented a movie from the iTunes store and downloaded it.  The download completed and I began watching the movie.  Over an hour and a half into the movie it froze and now says an unknown error occured while downloading (even though no error message displayed before starting the movie) .  Why is this?  How do I get a refund or have the movie download properly?  My connection is great just fyi.

As I mentioned in the first post.  It shoudl be in the videos app.
Itunes is only the itunes music and video store.  Nothing is stored there.
You need to open the videos app.

  • HT201272 Can't sync previously purchased iTune music & unavailable to re-download

    Hello everyone!
Here's my problem:  I got a new computer, transferred all iTune files to new computer using flash drive & authorized new computer for my apple id.  I am still unable to sync my previous iTune purchases to my ipod & itouch.  My 100+ iTune songs error out, saying "unable to sync, cannot locate original file".  I checked help info & it says to download again from "Purchased" list in iTunes Store.  No "iCloud logos appeared in my list so I downloaded most recent iTunes update including iCloud & tried again.  No success.  Researched further and found if shows as "downloaded" it is unavailable.  All of my songs are listed as unavailable even the ones I purchased last week.  Does anybody have any idea what I could be doing wrong or how to fix it?  I am totally frustrated and out of ideas and my teenage daughter is not a happy camper either.  I;d appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .
BTW iTunes won't offer your past purchases to you if there is a current entry in the library, even if that entry is to a missing file...

  • Itunes music videos , do not download to ipod.

    Hi,
I bought a music video from itunes, it plays on the computer, but when downloaded to the ipod, it just shows the artwork in a small box, no moving pictures.
I have checked that on the playback tab, video settings is ticked play in full screen but still does not work.
Also exported an avi. file to ipod settings on quicktime but this does not appear on the ipod when downloaded.
    Help!!

Avi files do not play on Ipods, only mpeg4 and H264 formats do. Check the Ipod page, it shows on the bottom left which formats and what size they have to be in.
For seeing the video make sure your TV out is set to off on the ipod.

  • I'm having trouble purchasing iTunes music and this pops up security questions in which I never ever made. I need help on it liek ASAP and I'm trying to buy music, I'm fustrated as is.

Can anyone help me I'm trying to buy music on iTunes and a security question thingy pops up and I didn't even setup a ANSWER about it. I need help on it and I need these music like ASAP! I'm really ****** off about it.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Purchasing itunes music and burning 100 cds

I need to burn 100 CDS. I want to buy the same song 100 times, so I will be able to burn a song on each CD. I want it to be legal, so can we purchase 1 song 100 times and not have any legal issues?

    lizzzzz wrote:
So how does one make mixed CD's for people mixing up individual songs that they purchase? Is that illegal?
Actually, yes. If you make one mix cd and give it to your best friend, is RIAA likely to come after you? Probably not. And yes, people do it all the time. It is, however, still illegal.

    Hi there.
Thank you very much for your quick reply, it's really appreciated.
No need to apologize, I actually found the phrase "If your iPad ever craps the bed" amusing under the circumstances
I checked the list of installed apps like you suggested (Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Show all apps) but this problem app is not in the list. I have also swiped down on the home screen to search for it, but again it does not show.
While it has not let me download the app (and I just tried it again) it has helped me to eliminate a few things from the list of what to try, and I can definitely conclude that it has not downloaded.
I guess I need to fire up my PC and download it / sync my iPad.
    Thanks again for your help

  • I reset my computer to orig manufacturers speifications and lost all my purchased Itune music before this year.  I've been a member for ten years.  Itunes does not have a record.  Is there anything else I can do to get them back.

I had to reboot my desktop computer to original manufacturers specifications and all my purchased Itune music was deleted from my computer.  I didn't back up my itunes because they advertise they keep a record of your purchased music.  I contacted Itunes and they have stated they only have a record of purchases made this year.  I've been a member for ten years.  Any ideas on how to get back my purchased music?  Also, I have an old Ipod Nano that I haven't used for quite some time because the battery didn't hold its charge, and it has some of my older purchased music.  Itunes said I can't get the music on my old ipod downloaded back onto my computer, any ideas on this?

Earlier back up is corrupted. Thank you in advance. No longer have my old iPod but getting new one.

If you had the hard drive from the original machine, a backup of the same, an iPod with the media, or a subscription to iTunes Match then there would have been hope, but alas no.

  • Why does iTunes delete all my music and then re-download (not all of) it when I sync?

So, I plugged my phone into my PC, and it loaded on the iTunes screen. I then went into the device and removed a couple of playlists from the phone (it had run out of space). When I then hit sync, rather than just removing the playlists and syncing to update anything that needed updated, it bloody well deleted ALL my music and then started downloading it again. We are talking about around 30-50GB of music. Not only this, but it appears to NOT download all the tracks on my playlists so I'm left with half the music I should have.
I have had this happen before and last time it totally screwed up my phone leaving me with the only option of completely reinstalling iOS7. Has anyone else had this happen? Is it fixable?  Not only this, but I am aware of "manage music manually" but have no idea where it is or how to activate it. I'm just bloody sick of apple! Why can't they get their **** together and fix these little bugs. I love their hardware but they clearly have too many ego driven tossers programming their software who don't think fixing issues is their problem!
Any help would be most appreciated as it's driving me up the bloody wall! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

I'm not sure why this happens, but I found a workaround. Below the album title it will list the artist(s). The issue seems to happen when there are multiple artists. For example, an Album titled "Over the Sea to Skye" has The Chieftains and James Galway as artists. Some tracks (for whatever reason) will list only one of these and result in the playlist showing what appears to be multiple albums. You can click on the artists and it will highlight. Paste in what is appearing on the other "albums" and it will then show as one:
Hope that is somewhat clear enough to help. Doesn't fix whatever the issue is but it is a workaround. For me this is only happening with CD's that I have imported.

  • As of today, neither sample songs on the music store nor songs already downloaded will play correctly.  They are stuttery and slow.  I have iTunes 10.5 and have not downloaded any upgrades for anything recently.  They were working last night. Thoughts?

I found a solution that worked for me.  Here is what I did and where I found it.
"Looks like I tracked down the problem, it worked for me so I hope this works for everyone else experiencing problems.  Go to your Task Manager and locate the program APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push)..... if you see this executing terminate the program and then startup iTunes and it should come up fine.  You will see afterwards that APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) starts back up but this is fine as long as iTunes has already started.
I tried playing both music and syncing up my iPhone with no problems.  Note if you shutdown iTunes again you will have to terminate the process APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) again.  Haven't had time to see what in the world Apple Push is but this appears to have corrected the problem so that you can at least use iTunes and sync any device that needs to be synced.
    Hope that helps everyone!"
