Purchased iTunes music wont play on cell phone?

I have been downloading from iTunes Music store for the past 2 years, and am aware that they are protected. However, I am able to copy them to CD's to file away and for in my car, but for some reason it is not possible to copy them to my memory card on my Nokia N73? Does anyone know how to over-ride this, as it is legitimate purchased music, but I cannot see the point in purchasing music from iTunes any more if you cannot use the music on my phone? Any help appreciated, thanks..

get a program called total recorder
total recorder will allow you to record what ever comes out of your speakers and then save it to what ever format you want
so for example you want to save your m4p files to mp3
you go into the record amd source parameters of total recorder, select the sound board as your sound card with a stero mix, click recording format and select mpeg-3 with a bit rate of 192 or 256 (the larger it is the more quality the sound but the larger the file) hit ok
hit the record button and hit play on ya music player that is playing the song you want to record
wait till its finished then just save the track and then you can put it and play it where eva you want as its not protected and is just a commen mp3 music file

in the table theres pictures of folders click the first one on the left
use winrar to open this file once downloaded (like winzip but its for rar files) and then if you open the developers file in there it will give you key to unlock the program (i think you just click help and then register or something like that in total recorder)
the pro key may work too (pro is better than developers)
if not unlocked you will find you will get a beep of a few seconds placed every 30 seconds of your recording
note by doing doing this will remove the protection from your new recording but the original file will remain protected.
It is not illegal to do this however it is illegal to then sell or distribute the recording in anyway that breaks copyright

Ok i think i have found out how to do it. Unplug your i phone, go to settings and then reset then reset all data and settings. This will warn you that it is going to erase eveything on your phone.
DO NOT BACK UP BEFORE HAND
then restart your phone and restore back up from when you donwloaded the new IOS5. This should sort out your problem :-)

Transfer Itunes music to Samsung Rogue cell phone

Hi,
I've seen lots of posts similar to this one but as of yet can't find the problem resolved. I have been able to transfer images from my macbook pro to the cell phone and vise versa but as of yet can't get any music files to transfer, even the ones that I copied from my own CD's that are mp3's on my itunes music files. Can anyone help? Would love to be able to transfer all this music that I bought onto my new cell phone...

How are you connecting the phone? Or are you just mounting the microSD card? If the phone shows up as a removable drive, you should be able to just drag .mp3s from iTunes to the music folder on the phone.
Personally, I find it easier to just stick a microSD card in a reader and use that. You do need to format it in the phone first. Sandisk makes a card reader that's barely bigger than the microSD card itself.

I have a Samsung Rugby phone that I want to install music to from itunes. I once found online a step by step instruction to change the file so that the Samsung phone could read the file but now I can't find it on the internet. Can someone tell me the steps to take to make the Mac music work on a basic cell phone with a music player. I've done it before but just don't remember how I did it. Thanks, Rick

Despite the music working in my itunes library when I plug my phone into the computer, it is skipping majority of my songs when I try to play them through my phone. not sure why this is happening..

Try removing all music from your iPhone followed by re-transferring the music.
If you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, deselect Sync Music followed by a sync. This will or should remove all music from your iPhone. Follow this by reselecting Sync Music followed by a sync to re-transfer the music.

Networked iTunes music wont play in Front Row......initially (repeatedly!)

On my 4th day in Mac world, My (very nearly) fab Mac mini will play content from my networked HDD fine, but when I wake the Mac up from sleep, nothing will play in Front Row
When I double click the song in iTunes, it plays. I can then play all music in Front Row.
In iTunes, some music appears with an "!" next to it, but when I double click it - the song plays immediately, but will skip the next "!" marked song unless I double click it
What I've done since installing OS x:-
1. Set music location in iTunes to \\HDD\Music
2. Rescanned library
3. Added alias to \\HDD\video and \\HDD\photos in appropriate folders and scanned with iMovie and iPhoto - all media will now play in FR
4. exported itunes playlists from my Windows PC and imported to Mac
5. Clicked through ALL songs on main iPod sync playlist to remove "!"
6. Successfully sync'd iPod with everything (except Apps - scared of this at the mo!)
Any suggestions would be appreciated....thinking it may have something to do with importing the playlist or the external HDD doesn't mount unless I go via iTunes

...but when I wake the Mac up from sleep, nothing will play in Front Row...
Sleep disconnects all network connections. I would guess your Mac mini (and therefore Front Row) has lost contact with your networked hard drive. Once it re-establishes a connection, you've got your songs back. Perhaps you should set the screen but not the computer to sleep? You can adjust that with the Energy Saver System Preferences. I never turned my Mac mini off (except for software updates) or let it sleep for more than two years without any issues.

I just restored my computer from a crash, and luckily, was able to reload my itunes library from a norton 360 encrypted back-up. However none of the MP4 files will play on the new itunes 10 version. Anyone else had this problem? please advise.

I downloaded a preordered album today onto my iphone 5. The songs will show up under the artist name and album but NOT in (either) purchased playlists. I went to put the new album onto my computer from my iphone and it will not back up. I also tryed to go onto itunes via my computer and get the purchased album from my history but it would not give me an option to download it from the cloud.
Has anyone had this problem and found a solution??

after installing iTunes Genius, my purchased music wont play now. it gets skipped over in normal play mode. the box next to selection has the "check". album artwork still shows up when song is highlighted.

When i dont have service my music wont play even if stored on my phone

Most of my music is stored in icloud with itunes match. I know that i can only listen to songs that i have downloaded from icloud to my phone when i have no service. I noticed last night at the gym that i can get through one song and after that my downloaded music wont play. I have to reset my phone before more songs will play. look in the headphone jack, if there is a red light.
When the red light is on it is in a digital mode, there is a switch in there that sometimes gets stuck.
Try a tooth pick, or a Q tip with the tip cut off and gently wiggle it around in there.

Select one of the tracks with a broken link, press ctrl-i to Get Info. Say No when iTunes asks if you would like to locate the track, then look at the Summary tab for the location expects to find the file in.
Now try to locate the file in question. The two locations should give a clue as to what to do next.
Here is an example with a file I've deliberately moved from the new layout to the old pre-iTunes 9 layout.
This means iTunes is expecting to find the file at:
D:\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\a-ha\Take On Me\01 Take On Me.mp3
but it isn't there because I've moved it to:
D:\iTunes\iTunes Media\a-ha\Take On Me\01 Take On Me.mp3
which is where it would have lived back in iTunes 8 (though the media folder would have been called iTunes Music back then as well).
If you can provide the expected and actual locations of a broken track I should be able to suggest the easiest way to resolve things.
