Purchased list of songs

For some reason, my purchased list of music has missing information. Stuff in parenthesis is missing in the album title and song title. The stuff missing in the song titles, the information is listed in the comment box. The stuff missing in the album title doesn't show up anywhere. This started happenening after I upgraded to software 4.3.5. However it does not do this on every album (parenthesis shows up on some albums. some show up correct and some do not. How do I fix it so that my purchased list of music has the correct information? Please some one help me. Example. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs album is missing the (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture) part in my library.

also, will do this when I buy something new from the itunes store, it will leave out stuff in parenthesis, when it downloads to my library.

  • I just upgraded to 6.0.4.2 and now my purchased list is all messed up

Any one know how to fix this?
I just up graded to 6.0.4.2 Now when I look at my purchased list of songs it shows a bunch of old songs that I never purchased through ITunes? and many of the songs that I did purchase are showing up in the list 4 and 5 times. Is there a way to reset this back to just the songs I have purchased?
      Windows XP

I am certain your iTunes Library.itl file is corrupted.
What are the iTunes library files?
If you have a backup of it, stop iTunes and put the backup in place.
If no backup, then clear your library. Select/highlight all of the songs, right-click and clear.
Make sure you DO NOT REMOVE THE ACTUAL SONG FILES TO RECYCLE BIN!
Then go find you music folder in Windows Explorer, and drag all the songs back in. This will rebuild your library.itl file correctly.

  • ITunes Store "Purchased" list doesn't include all items actually purchased

I noticed that some songs seemed to be missing from the "purchased" list of songs under ITunes Store. There are 358 items listed. I created 2 smart playlists "Kind Contains Protected" and Kind Contains Purchased" and got a total of 383 items, and it includes the songs I noticed are missing from the Purchased list.
However, If I go into my Purchase History, the songs show up there! What could cause the Purchased list from not showing everything?

    Try:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
Are you saying that it is not listed here:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Is the computer signed into the same iTunes account that purchased the song?
Is it listd in your Purchases History? iTunes>Store>View Accountc>login>Purchase History?

  • HELP! New songs show up on Itunes and Purchased list, but will not show up on phone.

I've added some new songs to my Purchased list. They show up on iTunes, but do not add after being synced to my iPhone 4s! The sync goes through, but they don't show up on the phone at ALL. I've tried deleting and re-adding to Purchased, but it didn't work. The software is all up to date as well. Has this happened to anyone? What do I do?

    Hello bm511
Try switching to manually manage music for your iPhone, then you can drag and drop the music that you want or even drag the playlist to add the song.

  • Delete songs from the purchased list

Is there any way to delete songs from the purchased library list?

I no longer like the song, so I would like to get rid of it. If I was tired of a CD, I would get rid of it. It seems like I should be able to do the same thing with the purchased list.

  • I'm seeing my husband's purchased songs in my account. Each time I download a song it's going to his purchase list. How do I fix?

I am a new iPod/iTunes user. My husband had previously opened an iTunes account and has purchased a number of songs. I opened my own account. Both accounts were opened on the same computer. We just have the one computer. After I opened the account, I purchased one of two songs and noted that I was seeing his purchases/Library and my songs were being added to his purchase list. How do I separate his purchase list/Library from mine so that when I purchase a song it is not added to his list. I obviously would like to see only a list of songs that I have purchased as my Library. Thank you for any help that you can give me. Kay 205

I opened a new user on my computer yesterday with administrative privledges. I then opened up an itunes account from this new user. It seemed to go pretty well. I haven't downloaded any new songs yet or moved them to my account. I don't know how to move songs yet. I'm reading iPod and iTunes for Dummeies. Very appropriate for me. I will let you know when I manage to do this and am successful. Once again, thank you for your kindness and help. Kay 205

    Hi TKCDM1!
You should try to get this purchase onto your iOS device by using the suggestions in the following article:

My play lists and songs on iTunes and on my iPhone won't play.  They are light grey instead of black and nothing happens when I click on the songs.  All of the songs were either from CD's or from iTunes that I purchased. I have home sharing turned on. This is a new issue.  It used to work fine.  I tried restarting my iPhone and syncing with iTunes. Neither worked.  Please help!

Try delete those songs using iTunes by de-selecting and sync. After that mark those songs and sync again.

  • Previously deleted songs have greyed out "Purchased" buttons, and the items are not in the "Purchases" list.

I have several songs I deleted on an unknown date that I want to redownload. As I stated in the title, the songs I am looking for are not in my "Purchases" list, and when I search for the album the song is in the song has a greyed-out "Purchased" button. I get the same result on my iPhone, which was bought long after I deleted these songs (I assume).

It is possible that you may have deleted the tunes.

  • How to add songs to a playlist when the songs are NOT on the Purchased list

In Itunes there used to be, in the Playlist page, a "playlist" which appeared at the top called All Music. In the more recent versions of Itunes this is no longer the case and All Music has disappeared and the closest you can get is Purchased. Unfortunately the Purchased list misses out all sorts of things which were genuinely added to Itunes.
In the old days I could select any group of songs from the All Music "playlist" and simply drag them into the appropriate playlist. No problem. Obviously I can still do this if all the songs are on Purchased but, if they are not, what do I do.
I know that it is possible to see all the songs by clicking on Songs at the top of the page and I can then select those that I wish to add to a playlist. But there is no way (that I can see) of dragging these to the required playlist since playlists do not appear in this page format. There is nothing in File or Edit which looks useful. I even tried Copying the selection (in desperation i must admit) with a view to subsequently Pasting to the appropriate playlist but, as I expected, that has a greyed out Paste so no luck there.
There obviously must be a way of adding songs which do not appear in Purchased to a playlist. What am i missing?

Hi scroobyplex, I think i am now fairly happy with the situation as explained in my last post but, as you have taken the trouble to reply, i will try to explain myself a bit better as i don't seem to have been very successful so far.
As I mentioned in my 2nd post, I am well aware of the Categories button at the top left of the screen under File/Edit/View etc. For me this is always set to Music since i don't use any of the other categories.
I am not sure what you mean when you say clicking on Music shows all my music files. In fact, when I click on category Music, I then get various choices appearing along the top of the screen as mentioned in my 1st post - Songs, Artists, Albums, genres, Playlists. If i choose any of the first four I do get a full list of all my tracks but there is no facility there for dragging selected tracks onto a specific playlist.
The other option is Playlists. This gives me a list of all my current playlists, both those created by me and those created automatically by Itunes (of which the previously mentioned  Restored Playlist .... playlist is an example) The Playlist screen always opens with one of the playlists already selected
The only option i have then of seeing a different list of tracks is to select a different playlist. If i want to add new tracks to a playlist, often the Purchased list will be OK as a source for dragging but, if i have loaded a CD into Itunes, I would need to select the Restored Playlist... playlist as any new tracks seem to automatically go onto this regardless of the source. There is nothing else which gives me a full list of tracks on a screen which permits dragging onto any specific playlist.
As mentioned in my previous post I have no idea why all my music, both old and new, goes into a playlist called  Restored Playlists....  instead of something sensible like Music or All Music but it does what i need so i no longer have a problem

  • How can I drag and drop a song from my "Purchased" list on to my i-Pod?

I've recently updated the apple software on my PC and the new version of i-Tunes won't let me drag and drop songs from my "Purchased" list directly to my i-Pod.  I don't want to sync my i-Pod.  It will erase all the songs on my i-Pod and sync with the playlist from my PC.  I want to select just one song from my "Purchased" list and put that on my i-Pod.

I got my own answer !!   I saw it on another post.  Select "View" and then toggle down to "View Sidebar".
Now I can drag and drop like before.

  • Song in my playlist but not in purchased list.

I bought a song yesterday through iTunes. A Stereophonics track. It synced from the cloud to all my devices. Great! Works perfectly.
Except, the song is now not appearing in my "Purchased" list.
The purchased list shows I have 8 songs in my iTunes - which is correct.  It also lists the Bands/Artists on the left and how many tracks for each of the. For Stereophonics, it indicates two songs, as it should. BUT, when I click on the band name, it shows only one of the two songs. The other one does not show up on my MB Pro, iPad2, iPhone 4 or iMac.
    Weird or what?
any ideas? It's such a small library at the moment, it should be easy to manage. But when I grow it to a few hundred or thousand, then what?

I have many songs that I just want in a playlist, but do not want in my library so that when I shuffle my songs they won't play. Is this possible?
No, but if you get Info on a song, and take a look at the Options section, there is a checkbox for "Skip when shuffling."

  • TS1702 I have a song on my purchased list, that I didn't order. How do I let them know

  • Song not appearing in purchased list, but on the store it says purchased

    Hi,
I've downloaded a song off my old ipod and bought a new ipod a few days later. But the song I downloaded isn't appearing in the purchased list, however on the itunes store it says 'purchased' next to it, but there isn't an option to download it. I've tried synching the ipod, selecting transfer purchases, clicking on 'Check for Available downloads' but it says all purchases have been downloaded. But I'm out of ideas, does anyone know any solutions?
    Thanks.

By purchased list do you mean the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page ? That is where you can re-download items (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries). If music appears as a category on that screen but that track doesn't show then is it hidden from the list (hiding and unhiding purchases) ?
If the song is still on the iPod then conncting it and doing 'transfer purchases' should copy it over to the Music part of your library. If the song was bought on your iPod then it won't appear in the Purchased section under Store on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes as it wasn't bought on that computer.
The 'check for available downloads' will look for items that haven't yet been downloaded from the store e.g. tv episodes from a series pass, pre-orders.
