Purchased music off iTouch from iTunes... Disappeared?

I just recently reset my iTouch and erased everything on it to restore it and fix all of my music information (albums, titles, etc...) because everything was scrambled and uncategorized and what not... I have purchased music from iTunes using my iTouch and now all of those songs I bought are gone. I understand that purchasing the music directly from the iTouch downloads the songs onto the iTouch harddrive so they obviously got erased when I reset it. I figured theres got to be a way to get my songs I bought back from iTunes but I have no idea what to do??? If anyone has had this problem or can help me out I would really appreciate any help at all! Thanks alot.

go to your account in the itunes store, you should find your purchase history there. next to the songs you have purchased there should be a 'report problem' button, which will allow you to contact apple. they normally respond pretty quickly saying that your purchases will be available to download next time you log in to itunes.

AArgh. I have an older version of IPod (non-clickwheel) with the latest vesion of IPod Software (2.2) installed AND ITunes 6.0 AND I've repaired permissions, restarted, all the common troubleshooting actions taken place.

Getting purchased music and video from itunes

I deleted some music and videos that i purchased from itunes store by accident from my computer. Is there a way that i can retrieve it from the store again without paying for it? I was able to view everything that I purchased but I couldn't find a way to download them again. Thanks

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. My apple id unable to purchases music or apps from itunes store

It happened many times with my Apple id. Firstly, I was unable to purchases contents from itunes store. The notif "contact itunes support" always appear everytime I tried to purchased. Everytime I met the issue, I always contacted itunes support, but rarely itunes support teams replied my email. This time, it happened again, and even more. Right now I couldn't purchases anything from itunes store even music. It said that I have to verify my billing info. I've tiped everything needed in that billing info also my credit card, but the notif always "security code is invalid". How come it is invalid, when I handed the card my self when I tiped the number on my apple id. I've repeated it over and over again, but the same notif always came.
Anyone could explain to me, what's happen to my apple id axactly and how to solve this issue.

if both itunes on the computer and on the phone dont show any then apple must not be offering that service in your country

Cannot download purchased music and films from iTunes to my iPad 4

I have recently bought an iPad 4 but am struggling to download music and films that I have purchased in iTunes. It gets to the processing stage and then a message pops up saying "unable to download at this time". I have retried the action but the same message keeps appearing. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Just want to download my purchased music off of ITunes onto an authorized computer. When I attempted to do so, ITunes asked me for credit card information but doesnt say anything about charging me for downloading.

Copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.

You can. Why do you think you cannot?
If you purchased it on your ipad, then you would have to transfer it to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
You can then listen to it on your computer.

I finally figured it out. I had the parental controls restricting videos on my son's ipod. Once I changed the restrictions, the videos appeared.

What happens when you try to buy them, does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?

Depending on what country that you are in you might be able to re-download past music purchases via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page - re-downloading : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
But if you only re-installed iTunes and you didn't remove the actual music from your computer, then it should still be on there, and you should be able to add it back into iTunes via File > Add Folder To Library - by default your iTunes content should have been stored under :
Windows 7 and Vista : \users\username\My Music\iTunes.
Windows XP : \user\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes.

Unfortunately the staff in all of the i-shops in South Africa are pretty much unhelpfull, unlike the service i received while in the US. Any suggestions on how to by-pass this seemingly boycot of the South African users?

To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. Basically all you have access to would be anything offered in South Africa unless you move to a different country.
It's the media owners who get to tell Apple where and where they cannot sell their media. I'm sure Apple would be happy to take your money but if the media companies are not happy then they can say no to sales in SA.
Even if there were a way to bypass this we certainly couldn't tell you on this forum because it would violate the Terms of use of this web site and get the whole topic removed.

You cannot transfer song files from iPod to computer using iTunes (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer song files from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
NOTE: Songs previously purchased from the iTunes Store can also be re-downloaded at no cost, from the iTunes Store Purchased screen.

I have had an iphone 4g for about six months. I had purchased around 250 songs from itunes on my previous iphone. When I got the new phone and synced with my nike running, most of the songs transferred. Most of them are in my store but are listed 2-3 times. some of them are in bold print, others in light print. When i'm running, the songs skipped over and only play the ones in dark. I have no idea what to do to get all of the songs backk that I bought. Jessica14

Welcome to the Support Communities!
I would suggest you transfer your iTunes purchases from the iPhone to the computer first.
Then in your iTunes library on the computer, find and remove the duplicates.
Then resync to your Nike.

My iPhone 4s iOS 7.0.4 will not update music or apps from iTunes 11.1.3. this was true of my pc and the new MacPro.

My iphone 4s ios 7/0/4 will not update music or apps from itunes 11.1.3. this was true with my pc since ios 7.0.3 even with update 7.0.4 and now continues with my new MacPro also runing itunes 11.1.3. as most state in previous threads, syncs all non itunes related data with no issue and appears to work correctly on itunes data but then hangs on the last step of updating until it times out. i have tried marking specific music to transfer, setting up new playlist, deleting some old playlist on phone but stopped short of restoring my phone back to new due to the amount of non itunes data that i will lose. The itunes setup on the macpro was completely with the download of all music from a previous external backup and the creation of new playlist - on the first sync with existing phone it did ask to overwrite all phone itunes data with macpro itunes data which i did accept - no different result - no changes on phone.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the problem continues, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.
