Purchased Music on 3GS to IPhone 4

Ok i have music on my iPhone 3GS purchased tracks from itunes and so i got a iPhone 4...I want to put those purchased tracks on my IPhone 4
The Account is staying the same
But when i tried this...it said
"iTunes Cannot add any songs to the iPhone" because no songs inthe playlist "Purchased" can be copied to this iphone.
IM NOT PURCHASING ALL THAT MUSIC AGAIN!

Connect your 3GS, go to the iTunes File menu, choose "transfer purchased music from iPhone".  Then, your purchased music will be in iTunes on your computer, ready to sync with your new iPhone 4.  This page has full instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848

I cant download my purchased music onto my new iPhone 5. I bought almost all my music through iTunes over my phone but it wont let me download "ALL"--I have to go in individually to each album. Can anyone help me figure out how to do a single "ALL" music download?
I even tried synching from mt computer backup but it wont do it.

You can only sync everything with your one syncing computer/iTunes library. Yu can:
    - Make this your syncing computer by:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities
    - Use the manual method to copy music and videos from any computer/iTunes library to the iPod. See the manual method included here:

When I purchase music through iTunes from my MacBook Pro, my iPhone 4 iTunes app cannot detect those purchase to allow them to download to my phone. If I open up the iTunes app and select "purchased > music > not on this iphone" it tells me "All of your available music has been downloaded to this device." However, my purchases are not yet downloaded to the iphone and not available to download. If I go to "purchased > music > all > recent purchases" it will show me the purchases that were most recent the last time I synced my phone, but not the purchases since then.
Any thoughts on how I can remedy this and make all of my purchased music available on my phone without requiring syncing?

So I have been searching the iStore for Airplay and I find lots of information about what it is, but nothing about how much it costs, how/where to buy it, etc.?
Fortunately, AirPlay does not cost anything as it is a streaming protocol used by Apple. Currently, the AirPort Express and Apple TV are AirPlay-ready. A number of other companies, like JBL, iHome, Denon and Klipsch are also rumored to be working on AirPlay versions of their products.
Your other option would be to get an AirPort Express and connect it to your Onkyo analog or optical digital audio input and stream from iTunes that way. I currently do this with my 10+ year old Harmon Kardon HT receiver.

  • Transferring music from 3GS to iPhone 5 without a PC

I have an iPhone 3gs with lots of downloaded and purchased music on it and want to transfer all this to an iPhone 5.  The trouble is I don't have a PC at the moment so I cannot use the USB cable to sync etc in itunes.  Is there another way to get all this music transferred?
I have scoured the internet but so far have not been successful.

    Read http://www.apple.com/itunes/inside-itunes/2012/01/get-instant-access-to-your-itu nes-purchases-wherever-you-are-with-itunes-in-the-cloud.html
In particular read the section that starts with "You can also automatically send your purchases to multiple devices."

  • How do i get my purchased music back on my iphone ?

I recently just backed up my iphone on my laptop, however i was moving music over from my lap top onto my phone and it didnt like it. so i was prompted to restore my phone. which i did.
however now i have lost all  the music i brought on my iphone which im not happy about.
how do i get it back??? or find it
    please

No iTunes content on your iPhone is included with the iPhone's backup, but if you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, any music purchased direct with your iPhone will be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so.

  • The transfer of purchased music to a new iphone fails. What to do?

After the home key on my old iPhone 4 failed I bought a new iPhone 5S. To transfer all purchased content to the new device, I transferred the purchased content and pulled a backup from the old unit, then restored the new unit from the backup I just made. All contacts and settings were tranfered successfully, as were all apps.
Ringtones and all purchased music, however, could not be transferred. The files show up in the iTunes library all right, and I can play all content there, but I cannot transfer any of it. Trying to retore the music through the iTunes Store by selecting "not on this iPhone" brings up the following message: "all available content transferred". Yet the library on the phone is empty.
It seems to me like all purchased content (books, music and films) is impossible to transfer or recover. Does anyone have any suggestions other than switching to pirated content from here on forward?
    Many thanks.

Anything you want to transfer, just copy it to a USB flash drive or external hard drive, and from there to the new computer.
If you want to keep your iTunes library intact, as far as playcounts, playlists, etc, a few extra steps are required. First, on the old machine, run Library > Consolidate. Then copy the entire iTunes folder to the external device, and from there to the new machine.

  • I cannot transfer purchased music from pc to iphone 4. Will not let me drag and drop.

I purchased an album and downloaded to my itunes on my pc. I cannot get it to transfer (copy) to my iphone 4. It will not drag and drop nor will it copy and paste. Any solutions.

You sync it as you do everything else.
Open itunes, connect iphone, select what you want to sync, sync.
If you want to drag and drop you would have to select manually manage music.
Maybe you should read the manual.

  • Purchased music keeps appearing on iphone

Every couple of days a random song that I purchased long ago will suddenly appear on my iphone 5, running most recent software.
I have "Show all music" turned off and also have "Automatically download music" turned off.  Some of the songs that show up I've even completely deleted from itunes on my computer so there's literally no way they could be on my iphone unless Apple is pushing them onto it.
How do I get this to stop?  There's a REASON I don't have these songs in itunes or on my phone anymore, I don't want to hear them.  It's incredibly frustrating when I'm listening to my music and suddenly some song I don't like and don't want and completely regret buying starts playing.

    Hey Micah D.,
It sounds like you may need to take your device off the list of iTunes in the cloud devices:
    iTunes Match - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph6e2dfb83
Remove iPhone from your list of “iTunes in the Cloud” devices.  In iTunes on your computer, choose Store > View Account. Sign in, then click Manage Devices in the “iTunes in the Cloud” section.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Have a good one!

  • Cannot sync non-purchased music from itunes to iphone

I can't sync/transfer/put any music on my phone that wasn't purchased from itunes ever since I last updated itunes (much regret). I imported the music to my library, synced, nothing was added. I checked "sync only checked songs and videos" yes the songs i want to sync are checked, synced, nothing was added. Made sure that "sync music" under the music tab was checked, synced, nothing added. This is really frustrating me.

I have the reverse problem. My computer crashed with the new Mavericks update and it had to be completely wiped. I fortunately have my entire library on my iPhone (including 1000s of non apple purchases), but I am on thin ice to preserve this library without being able to transfer everything back to my computer.

  • Moving purchased music from iPad to iPhone.

I bought some music on my iPad and can't seem to get it on my iPhone via iCloud. Any help?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.

  • Purchased Music wont play on iphone

    Hi everyone..
    Please help!
Music has all worked fine on iPhone 4s.
As of yesterday all my puchased music on my iPhone won't play.
It doesn't start or even try but jumps to the next song with the wrong artwork.
CDs I transferred work fine but nothing from iTunes.
iTunes plays fine on my computer.
I tried deactivating then reactivating and resynching.
I also copied the purchased into a playlist. It wont play the songs purchased songs out of the playlist either.
    Grr.. any ideas?
No updates/new software since then and Im on the latest iTunes version and latest iOS

    Ok folks,
I had this problem inn that the music was on the phone but would not play or at least the track appeared to be playing but no sound or the art work and artist did not match the track playing.
What I did was un tick every box in the iphone music tab and then synced. I then took all the sync my music ticks out and scnced the phone again. My tracks were still on the phone and played.
I have the back up to icloud turned on so i don't know if this was causing some conflict somewhere.
It seems to have sorted it for me at the moment.
    Hope this helped

  • How do I delete Purchased Music Files from my iPhone 5? Im running iOS 8.2

So I have attempted every which way to delete my music including going to General>Settings>Usage>Music Delete.  Certain files remain on my phone and i cant delete them in any fashion.  This seems like a bug because I have gone to the store to download the rest of the album then can finally swipe and delete.  This is a long process and does not seem to be too user friendly.  There has to be a better way to do this right?
Also, I have noticed that when plugging in iphone to my PC, I have problems uploading music....arrrrrrggggggg!!! Help Please.

    Hi maureenfromminneapolis,
I understand that you want to delete some songs off of your iPhone in order to make room for an iOS update. You can find some information on deleting music files in iOS in the following article:
How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT5772
Note that this article is only for music items downloaded from the iTunes Store. In order to remove items that you have synced into your device from your computer, you will need to connect back to the computer you used to add the music, uncheck the items you want removed, then sync to confirm the removal of these items. Thanks for being a part of the Apple Support Communities!
