Purchased music with iphone but not seeing on my macbook

I purchased a song from iTunes with my iPhone 4 ( Verizon - 4.2.8) but it is not showing up on my MacBookPro. Is it because the iCloud Beta is not active with the Verizon iPhone?!!

I have  the same issue with a Verizon iPhone 4s. bought a song with it a couple of days ago. Still hasn't shown up on my Macbook Pro running Lion. Automatic downloads is turned on on both devices. I notice that in iTunes on the Mac, under "Stroe" on the left side, my iPad, my wife's iPad and my Apple TV are listed, but the iPhone is not.

  • Photos uploaded through icloud control panel are only synced with iphone but not with ipad

Photos which are uploaded through icloud control panel are only synced with iPhone but not with iPad. Photos taken with iPhone or iPad are synced with all devices. So, why I do not get the uploaded photos from my pc to iPad? I alredy disabled photo stream on all devices - same failure

If only one device is not getting updated data, you need to troubleshoot that device and not photostream itself.
Verify that ipad is connected to wifi, charged over 20 percent, camera app is closed and take a photo of the screen (or anything else, but then close that camera app).
Open photostream folder on that ipad and see if picture shows up. If you network is good, should not take long.
Don't forget that while your phone can use wifi and cellular (even it suppose to use wifi for photostream, cellular networks got much better since original photostream was implemented) - you ipad is probably wifi only.
If picture shows up - you ipad and photostream have no problems and you can go to other devices one by one.

  • Purchased music in iTunes but not sync'd to iPhone music player

I can log into iTunes, view all my music including purchased music in iTunes, but the music is not sync'd to my iPhone. All other sync'd applications including MS Calendar, Comcast mail account, pictues, etc worked just fine. Why is the music sync feature not working with my new phone??

In order to sync music or videos to our iphone, it has to exist in your Library and not just under the itunes store. If the music does not show up in the library section, click on store at the top of itunes and check for purchases.
If it comes back with a message that all purchases are downloaded, you will need to log into your itunes store account and go to purchase history to report a problem with the particular items purchased.
To log into your itunes store account and view purchase history:
Open the iTunes store and click on your email address in the upper right corner.
Enter your password and choose view account in the window that pops up.
When your account opens you will see a button to view purchase history.
In purchase history you can report a problem for any item purchased.

  • Want music on iPhone but not iPod.

I have more music in my iTunes library than I have room for.  As a result, I had to uncheck some stuff.  I'd like to put that stuff on my iPhone but not the iPod. Does anyone know how I can do this? Thanks for any help.

One way to do this is to use Smart Playlists. These playlists can be built using pretty much any criteria you want, but here's an example:
I use this Smart Playlist to keep the music on my iPhone rotating and fresh. When I plug in the iPhone to power every night is syncs with iTunes, updates the play counts then syncs the new music to the playlist.
So when you sync your iPhone sync just your Smart Playlist, not your entire library.

  • Just bought an Epson 2540 Printer, connects with iPhone but not Macbook Pro

I am able to print from my iPhone but not my Macbook Pro. Wireless test page worked fine. Turned on Sharing option, turned off firewall, and still does not connect. This is very frustrating, please help

You may have to visit the Epson website and make sure your printer has drivers updated for Mavericks:

Updating the drivers through this link should fix your issue. Post if there's any problem.

  • HT204387 BOSE Bluetooth wireless headphones work with iPhone but not iMac - Profile issue I assume - but why not!!!!

I have a great pair of BOSE wirless headphones that connect faultlessy to my iPhone.  I'm very dissappointed however to find that I cannot use the same headphonse on my iMac or my MacBook Air.  I assume it's a bluetooth profile issue but in product utility terms it makes no sense.  Is anyone aware of a way of circumventing this resytiction (e.g. third-party product, mac setting,...etc)?

Yes. This has to be the 8.xx iOS.
I have experienced this since purchasing the 6+. Now, I attempting to pair the phone to Sync in my Ford F150, it
can't find the phone. I go through any number of attempts: rebooting the phone, finding a bluetooth device on Sync, etc.
Most of the time it shows a "cannot find bluetooth device". Or the Sync shows a pairing number to type in the phone in order
to pair, but the iPhone doesn't see Sync, so nothing can be done.
Sometimes, and I mean only sometime, the device is paired by itself. (On sync, "choose input: usb or bluetooth" and trying this
several times, Lo and Behold.....wait for it......the iPhone 6+ connects!
This is not what I had, an iPhone 4S, that one pairing, and always paired. (truck off, crank and instantly paired). The old days!
I have check Ford to look for an update. I have the latest from 2012. The final one for my truck model year.
This version of iOS needs works and must be updated again.
I don't know who to contact at Apple but the mods here don't say how to do that.  It another Apple waiting and see.
If I find a solution, I will post it immediately. I hope you will post as well. Thanks for reading.

  • Apple wireless keyboard OK with iPhone, but not iPad2

My wireless keyboard types correct symbols on my iphone 5, but not on my iPad2.  It does type the correct letters, but most of the symbols (both when in "lower case" and caps lock) are different from what's on the keyboard.  How can I adjust my iPad2 so the keyboard types the correct symbols. Virtually all the **** numbers plus symbol keys type symbols different from what's on the keys, though most of the symbols are covered by some other keys.  It's just not feasible to go searching by typing 10 or 20 keys to find one symbol, and then not to know whether to use the Shift, Ctrol, Option or Command or maybe even fn and then which key to guess will get the symbol I need.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,

Thanks for replying, very kind. I'm unable to log into my account.. As a guest, I'm not able to get access to any of my system preferences.
I think my imac has accidentally paired with my new apple tv remote.. I bought apple tv yesterday, was very excited but now wish I hadn't connected it. I'm unable to work on my imac which is very problematic on a workday.
How can I unpair the apple tv remote from my imac if I cannot get access to my system preferences to unpair any devices?

  • I can connect with iPhone but not pad for FaceTime

It's odd, my sister just bought an iPad and it will connect to my iPhone for FaceTime but not my iPad. Why is that?

One thing to note, she is not using a @me email address but rather her regular email address for her Apple I.D.

  • Any way to re-get apps purchased with iphone but NOT synched with computer?

My iPhone had been having issues synching so one of the Tech guys decided that the best way to solve it was by upgrading to OS4 and seeing if that fixed the problem. Unfortunately they didn't do a full backup (apparently it kept aborting part way thru) and I had apps that hadn't been synched to my iTunes account on the computer. Does anyone know of any way for me to get those apps back without buying them again? I was thinking that their might be a record of their purchase in my iTunes account since I had to have accessed it, even though it was thru the phone, to buy them in the first place, but I don't see it. I also don't know if I can just contact someone in tech support at apple about fixing it because I didn't see a logical way to contact them about the issue.

Well, you missed several chances, so now all that's left is to redownload them individually. At least you can do that without paying for them again. You can't do that with music.
You apparently didn't back up your iTunes library, in spite of regular reminders from iTunes when you make purchases. AND you don't have an external drive with Time Machine, which would have backed up your computer (including iTunes) automatically.
Before syncing you could have copied your apps from your iPhone to iTunes, as described in the manual, but apparently you didn't.
It's also not clear how iTunes "lost" your apps, unless you had a hard drive failure. This just doesn't happen, unless you have done something to your iTunes folders or had a hardware failure. I would suggest tracking down how iTunes lost your apps before you go any further; you may have a much bigger problem with your computer.

  • Exchange calendar syncs with iPhone, but not iCal

    Hi all,
My new employer uses Outlook, and my iPhone is permitted to be setup with an account which will access email, contacts and calendars. My events from my Outlook calendar automatically appear in my iPhone calendar, but do not show up on my MBP in iCal.
Is there a way to sync my Exchange account calendar on my iPhone with the MobileMe cloud, and have that calendar then put on my MBP?
The employer does not yet allow us to have an exchange account on our Macs -- we have to use MS Outlook Web Access.
    Thanks,
    Boris

    Dear Ckuan,
Thank you very much for this speedy response.  I appreciate it.
I'm trying to avoid updating my Mac OS (I'm on 10.6.8, which doesn't support iCloud), because my MacBook is a little old.
If you, or anyone, can suggest a way of making the sync work via the cable connection, I'd be very grateful.
    Thanks again,
    Caroline

  • Gmail Mail/Contacts/Calendar Functioning with iPhone But Not iPad

I recently purchased an iPad Mini and input my "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" settings the same exact way as they are in my iPhone...
    o Exchange account
    o E-mail address is "[X]@gmail.com"
    o Server is "m.google.com"
    o Domain is left blank
    o Username is "[X]@gmail.com"
    o Password is correct
o Use SSL is turned on
    o S/MIME is turned off
Nevertheless, when I launch the Mail app in my iPad Mini, I get the message "Cannot Get Mail: The connection to the server failed".  Similarly, my contacts and calendar data haven't synced at all.  I'm not having this issue on my iPhone so am a bit bewildered as to why I'm encountering it on the iPad.
Anyone know what's going on here?  Thanks in advance!
    Best,
    Alex

Google discontinued Exchange support for free Gmail accounts as of 30 January 2013. Devices that were already set up wiht it will continue to work. However, as you've discovered, attempts to set it up on a new device will not. You will need to set up the account as a regular Gmail account.
To sync your contacts, you need to add a CardDAV account as well:

  • Messages syncing outgoing with iPhone but not incoming iMessages.

So I have both my mac and iPhone set up with identical settings (besides the phone also recieving at the phone number). Both are set to the same Caller ID.
When sending a message, either from my Mac or iPhone, the message is synced between both devices, however when an incoming message is sent to my email, it is ONLY sent to my Mac. The iphone chat-log is now filled with all of my outgoing iMessages and none of the incoming ones. Messages sent to the phone number on iMessage are sent to the phone and not the computer.
    Any ideas on a fix?

Are the incoming messages being sent to an AppleID or a phone number? If to a phone number, are they coming from another Apple user using iMessage protocol, and have you listed the phone number under Messages > Accounts > [your-iCloud-account] > "You can be reached for messages at"?

    Hello there Alex,
Here is some good info to try and isolate what is not connecting correctly. From iOS: Unable to send or receive email found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3899.
If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:
    Restart the iOS device.
Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage to ensure that the device has Internet access. If you're unable to load a webpage, try the Wi-Fi assistant.
    Try an alternative Internet connection.
If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi:  Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If not, try a different Wi-Fi network.
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
If you're still unable to send or receive email, contact your email provider and verify the account settings are correct. You will need to gather this information (PDF).
    Additional Information
Using more than one device to check the same POP email account may create a lock-out issue that is easily resolved.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • IMessage working on iPhone but not on MacBook Pro or iPad Air

I Am getting increasingly frustrated that iMessage is working on my iPhone but not on iPad or MacBook Pro.  I have tried settings system preferences, taking jabber off etc but still no joy. It's been two weeks now, can anybody help me please

    HI,
In System Preferences > Internet Accounts  you can enable some email type addresses (they may or may not be actual email addresses) to be able to join various services.
Therefore a Google ID  can be activated  for Messages as Google allow Google Mail IDs to use their GoogleTalk Service which in turn  happens to be a Google Server.
At Facebook (if you have an account there) you can enable Chat which gives you a Facebook Chat ID  which also runs off a Jabber server (the ID is similar to your regular ID  but has chat in the name and does not work with the Mail App)
Apple Issued IDs (@mac.com @me.com and @icloud.com ending IDs) will work as AIM valid Screen Names  in Messages until the 30th June at least (Then @mac.com and @me.com names will stop).
The iOS version of Messages will send either iMessages  to Apple IDs and iPhone Numbers or in some cases will send SMS to other phones including iPhones that may not have enough service coverage to do iMessaging.
Of course people may use their Google ID as their Apple ID and use it in the Messages app on the Mac which in turn may mean it is the same on the iOS device.
The same can be done with  Yahoo ID.
This means the email IDs from both those services could be used as a Messages account anyway, the iMessages ID as the Apple ID and be active for Mail in Internet Accounts.
