Purchased OS 10.4 on eBay, ended up being a download and it won't work.

I am running OS 10.3.9, I purchased OS 10.4 on eBay and it ended up being a download. I have tried burning the discs on my PC with Nero and a couple other burners as an "image" as I was instructed but when I try to start it up holding down the C key on My G4 tower the disc is not recognized. I can open the disc from the desktop but it just goes to restart and that's it, please Help!

The basic guideline is a system has to be supplied on its own physical disc. The general retail version of Tiger always has its own disc. However, there are disc-less legal versions of operating systems out there. It's just a question of their legality in this case. I used to work at a large institution which had an OS license for many thousand Mac computers. Nobody had a disc. You would log onto the institution's server and download a copy and burn your own if you needed to install an upgrade. This was only for computers owned by the institution, so in theory at least the institution had control of existing copies of the system.
I called Apple about this a year or so ago, back when they still had some copies of Tiger for sale through Apple Support (not Sales). This was in response to another person on Apple Discussions in the same situation as yours with a download copy. I was wondering if somebody could buy a license of a disc-less institution which no longer had a need for an older OS version and then sell those (kind of the way you can sell an old set of retail system discs as an individual). Anyway, I couldn't get an answer out of the support person at Apple. Their basic reply was that if I wanted a set of Tiger discs why didn't I just buy them from Apple and couldn't they put me through to the customer service person who would be happy to take my credit card number? I repeatedly asked them I didn't want that but this was a question on Apple Discussions and was this a legal copy of discs? Same response telling me to just buy a set from Apple. I never did get a yes or no answer.

I believe that all audiobooks are supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them requiring the one-time only download. Wow that was really quick, thank you so much. Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it. I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names. isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)

Just Purchased P'shop CC & Lightroom Subscription. How do I download and activate at a later time?

I just purchased subscription to P'shop CC & Lightroom. My main computer is Win XP and spare is Win Vista, which are not supported. Having just completed the purchase, the next step is to "Download". How do I wait to download and activate my subscription at a later time, on new computer to be purchased in next few weeks? How do I get back to the site to download later? I have not been provided an "activation number" or similar for future reference.

Did you install iTunes?
Once downlaoded, iTunes should have installed, and open once installed.
If its not open you can look for it in your Start Menu in Windows or Finder in Mac.

Purchased Radeon 4650 VisionTek graphics card from Dell to update Dell Inspiron 580 -- won't work

I recently called Dell to determine what graphics cards were compatible with my computer and was told a VisionTek DMS59 4650 would be the right hardware to enable me to use two new monitors with HDMI and DP ports.
The ports on the card were a bit of surprise..they needed 3 adapters to get from what was there to what I wanted. No telling how the signal changes across that interface.
I installed the card according to instructions. I did not see an additional pin for extra power. I disabled the drivers for my existing card--I didn't want to uninstall everything for fear I would completely lose the ability to plug anything in and see a screen. I tried deleting the grapics card from the bios but there were no bios options for doing that.
I called the "let us help you install this" hotline on my receipt only to be switched over to hardware support at Dell where I got bounced back and forth from in warranty to out of warranty groups only to be told I had to call the graphics card manufacturer and that the helpline was in error.
I am getting ready to return the card.
Maybe someone has a solution.

HELP!! I'm trying to purchase a gift for someone in app world and it won't work!!

I received a gift request for an app in Blackberry App World and I am tryi g desperately to accept it but all I get is "please wait" it is driving me crazy. I was able to buy one once before and had the same problems but after deleting app world, rebooting a ton of ti.es and restalling app world I finally got it to work. There has to be an easier way...seriously rim! I have reinstalled app world 2x, rebooted at least 5x...tried everything I can think of including turning off Blackberry Protect but it still just says "please wait". I'm going mad can someone PLEASE help!!!!!!

You didn't say what version your trial is. Is it 10.1?
Right click on one of the clips and hit Reveal in Finder. Then select the clip it takes you to and open it in Quick Time . Hjt Command-i and post a screen shot of the Inspector info
