Purchased Photoshop Elements in error.

I've purchased Photoshop Elements in error. I want Premiere Elements NOT that. How do I rectify this error?

Requesting you to please go to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=us. When you click on download button (after selecting your OS details), it should open a new browser window (which will launch the Akamai installer automatically). Please cancel any installation or error shown.
The newly opened browser page will look something like this:
As highlighted, please click on these links (one by one) and see if it downloads the required files. The downloaded files will be compressed with 7z format. If you have some extracting tool (like WinZip) try extracting it. If you don't have it, download 7z. Its a free utility from Microsoft. Once downloaded and installed, you will be able to extract file and locate the PSE setup.

if the error message was about a missing archive, you need to place both the exe and 7z files in the same directory for photoshop elements. and then do the same for premiere elements.
then click the exe in each directory.

This is bad and I am sorry to hear that you are running into these issues.
Let me connect with you, so right now, the current state is that you have installed copy of PSE 8 in trial on your windows 7 machine, and when you are trying to enter the serial number from your PSE 8 Box, it is saying the serial number to be invalid?
It might sound pretty obvious, but please make sure that you are entering the serial number correctly and of PSE 8(in case you bought a PEPE box)?
Have you tried the steps mentioned below by Barbara?
If possible, you can send me the serial number through PRIVATE MESSAGE and I can check it on my end that whether the serial number is indeed invalid or that the issue is with your machine?

Purchased photoshop elements 11, worked after downloading but will not open now.

I purchased photoshop elements 11and it worked after the intial download, however when I click on the icon now nothing happens.

What OS you are on?
If it is Windows then please ensure there is no PhotoshopElements process running in the background.
Launch Task Manager > Processes tab and stop if there is any process running for Photoshop Elements.
Restart the application again.

I have just purchased Photoshop Elements 13. I think it was installed. The title shows in my 'Downloads File'. I have tried double clicking on 'install' in the downloads file. My recently purchased Photoshop Elements 12 will not open. Clicking to open, will not reveal the usual “edit” or “organize” choice windows. Only the main “edit” working window opens. In a moment, a smaller window within will also open. It states “Photoshop Elements 12 Editor has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.”
I am running it on a Dell laptop with six gigs of RAM and a Core i5 processor.
Should I attempt to reinstall? During original installation, the only thing I was not asked was to give blood! So, if reinstalling on the same machine is the solution, will Adobe allow this?

I have tried and failed. It was loaded from disc just purchased at Best buy. It loaded fine but will not start up at all. I have looked for the launch program and tried other methods but no success yet.
