Purchased Photoshop/lightroom deal

If I purchased the photoshop and lightroom deal for 9.99 and is being processed, can i still use lightroom? They let me download photoshop, but they will give me lightroom later correct?

Uninstall your current LR5 that is activated with a serial number.
Quit the CC Desktop application.
Restart the CC Desktop application—this causes CC to rescan your location computer to see what is installed.
At this point you’ll see an Install button next to Lightroom, so install that.

  • Purchased Photoshop/Lightroom subscription, PSCC fine, LR still shows trial and requires a serial number

    Hi all,
I had downloaded Lightroom and Photoshop CC 2014 trials, then bought the $9.99 subscription.  Photoshop CC works fine after restart, but Lightroom still shows trial in play and asks for a serial number.
I can't see a serial number in any emails.
    Please help!
    Cheers
    Kev

    Jodie84,
I have just checked your account and found that you indeed have bought a Creative Cloud for Teams subscription but you have assigned the single seat to another user hence you ( If you are using your own Adobe ID ) are getting the trial error message.
Two options : Either reassign the seat to your self or add an additional seat and invite your self in the same Team.

  • Photoshop & Lightroom deal?

I've just signed up for the one year contract of £8.78 for both the programmes. Upon installing them via creative cloud, I saw that some other (not so essential) programmes said next to them "install" & others saying "Try". Do these "install" programmes come with the deal as standard or would I have to pay more? I'd quite like to use bridge.

If it says install you can use it....
    Bridge is absolutely included.
    Cheers

I purchased Photoshop Lightroom 5 student and teacher edition on June 11, 2014 and installed it on my Mac Book Pro Lap Top.  My computer was recently stolen from my locker at the university.  Can I reinstall this software on the new Mac Book Pro that I purchased?

This is a user-to-user forum that is primarily supported by other users such as yourself who have no affiliation with Adobe. It is never a good idea to post your serial number on a public forum. We don't have any access to Adobe records, and your serial number is now available for anyone to use. Bad choice. You can download the latest version of Lightroom 5 from the following website and use your serial number (hopefully) to activate it.

  • Is this Photoshop Lightroom the same software as Photoshop?

I purchased Photoshop Lightroom 5 and of course Lightroom 6 comes out. My question is, is Photoshop stand alone the same as Photoshop Lightroom 5?

    No, bad naming by Adobe.
Photoshop is the large pixel editor that does layers and lots of other pixel creation and editing via destructive editing.
Lightroom is a digital asset manager and catalog that does nondestructive editing with its editor via the catalog.

  • Purchased the Photoshop / LightRoom 5 "CC" for $9.99 - where's the serial number(s)?  (cross-post)

Title pretty much says it all.
I am new to Creative Cloud - and this forum, etc.
I purchased the $9.99 / month deal that Adobe is offering to new customers, etc.
Downloaded everything that I need to download (I think).
Tried to run Photoshop - but am being asked if I want to start my "trial"
or I have the option to "License This Software"
but where is the Serial Number for Photoshop & LightRoom 5?
I imagine it's right under my nose - but I do not see it anywhere.
The screen which appears (after I sign in) says:
Am I supposed to "Start Trial" or "License This Software"
To make things even more confusing:
I just ran LightRoom 5 for the first time.
There was a serial number automatically inserted in the space provided.
Not sure what's going on - but this is becoming a little overwheling.
I suppose it's the price I must pay for being an old fart!

    @ didjunior:
Hi.  Sorry, but I don't have any good news for ya.
My issue has been resolved, however - it was due to a lengthy chat I had online with an Adobe Associate.
We were able to get everything running the way 'twas intended,
but there were some hoops of fire with which I had to jump.
Wish I could help....but the only thing I can say is to attempt a "Live Chat"
    With the Adobe help team.
Hope you get it smoothed over.
    Good luck to you.

Ok, it looks like I couldn't contact the servers, but the Adobe application did not tell me anything: no feedback.  I have gone into C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and removed all the firewall IP filters, and photoshop opens.  You can then revert the hosts file to get all your anti-spam and adblocking filters and photoshop still opens.  To be clear, Adobe seems to be using some special ip address to tell your app that it's licensed, this address could be on any number of spam blacklists (because I guess it's used to phone hime about app usage and sell you stuff).  So check your hosts file, OR check your work firewall / router.
@Adobe, help people out, just say 'unable to contact license servers'. When your infrastructure fails, and paying customers mysteriously get trial software, it makes Creative Cloud look broken, and frustrates the people you want to give you money.

  • Purchased 9.99 deal. Lightroom is not showing up in creative cloud

I purchased the 9.99 deal that includes photoshop and lightroom 5. Photoshop already showed that it was updated and I installed it. Lightroom is not showing up on creative cloud. When I go to creative cloud and hit download it brings up creative cloud and acts like its already there but I do not see it there. Just need help fixing this problem! Thanks

Aes8611 please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html for steps on how to resolve the Creative Cloud desktop application listing Photoshop Lightroom as installed.
Also please make sure you meet or exceed the system requirements for Photoshop Lightroom at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html.  If you do not meet or exceed the system requirements then you will not see the application listed in the Creative Cloud desktop application.

  • Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 (Student/Teacher): Questions before purchasing

    Hi,
I'm considering purchasing Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 (Student/teacher version).  I have several questions I was hoping to get answered before I do so.  I'll list them here...
Does the Student/Teacher version have all the same capabilities and functionality as the standard version of this product?
The software is being offered as a download by a [reputable] 3rd party vendor.  Can the software be downloaded to more than one computer in my household?  (The same vendor does offer a hard-copy version for a mere $2 more, and I'm wondering if I shouldn't just buy that one to be safe.)
One of the primary tasks I need to do with my digital photos most often is resize them, in large batches.  Does Lightroom 5 have the capability to do that?
And finally, is anyone familiar with purchasing Student/Teacher software?  Is my email address with .edu extension enough to satisfy eligibility requirements?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer any or all of these questions!
    -Steve

Lightroom and Photoshop or two completely different animals in a lot of ways. It isn't a question of either/or, but rather when to use the Lightroom and when to turn to Photoshop. The differences are too great to go into a detailed explanation on a forum such as this. I use both Lightroom and Photoshop. Lightroom is my starting point for all of my work, and I do easily 90% of my work using Lightroom. But sometimes there are things that Lightroom can't do, or Photoshop just does better.
Without going into a lot of detail, Lightroom does not modify the pixels in your image file. All changes and adjustments are stored in what is called the catalog, which is really a database. When you want copies of those images to share that include all of the Lightroom adjustments you export copies for that purpose. Because of this approach to editing, there are some things that Lightroom cannot do. That's where Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, or some other editor comes into play.
Looking back, it's easy to start editing using Lightroom. The thing I had a hard time getting my head around at first was the need to export copies of images to share with others, or to send to a lab, etc. As soon as you have that concept ingrained into your workflow I think Lightroom can be a very powerful tool. But it won't do everything, stitching panoramas, removing objects from images, and other such tasks are easier performed with other software. I'm not saying this to discourage you from Lightroom, but rather to encourage you to consider purchasing Lightroom with another product such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. There is "interconnection" between the two programs built into Lightroom that makes the process of going back and forth between the two very simple.
You are probably scratching your head right now wondering what I'm talking about. I apologize. Here is a link to a good set of videos you might want to watch. Then, hopefully it will help you make a better decision.

The only thing that matters is a valid serial number.
If you don't have one, contact Adobe.
