Purchased shows/movies not working

I have purchased couple movie and shows from the istore. when i try and watch them the sound works great, but the visual is way behind and pauses throughout. after a few minutes the screen turn green and it will maek itunes close. have played wmp files and they work great, also play dvds and they work great. Even play the sample version before you purchase show and it works great. Its just the playback that doesnt work.

Ok,
After searching a little longer I found it.
Check this link http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305392.
My problem is that my drive is SATA; as soon as i copied the files (video + movies etc) to my external drive, and then played played them in Quick time from their new location, everything worked well.
HOPE THIS HELPS

  • Quicktime slides show movies not working in iweb

    made keynote (hyperlinks only) slideshows, then exported to quicktime. slideshows work on desk top but not online in iweb o8 ( movie pages). Largest show is 4.4mb. they sometimes work, but mostly run on arbitrary loop. if i cant figure this out I might have to leave iweb. have I missed somthing simple?

    I solved the problem by simply removing Safari and using an other browser. I'll have to remove the sentence on my webpages that advises people to use Safari.

  • Purchased Shows/Movies Not Playing

    I just see a grey box and there is no sound. I'm on the current version (7.6.2) and I'm not sure if this is something that happened when I updated versions as I haven't tried to watch anything in a while.

    Don't know if it's related to Quicktime because I'm up to date on my software. I purchased a television show . . . there's only video, no audio. I e-mailed the iTunes support people on the 16th but haven't gotten a response as to what my next step is

  • All my movies not working anymore since download the new version OS X 10.9.4

    all my movies not working anymore since download the new version OS X 10.9.4

    Hi Jeff,
    In Safari I get this error message: Safari can't open "aam://SAP...[link of the download]" because OS X doesn't recognize internet address starting with "aam:". I thought it was a browser issue (I can't click the download button in Chrome) so downloaded FireFox but it also gives me an error message saying: Firefox doesn't know how to open this address because one of the following protocols (aam) isn't connected to any program or allowed in this context.
    I don't have Creative Cloud Membership, I received a CD with Photoshop Lightroom 5 with my new camera from Samsung. Because my MacBook Air doesn't have a DVD drive I figured I should download it. Couldn't find Lightroom 5 in the Appstore so I figured I should download a trial version and simply add the key from the DVD. Unfortunately I can't even download the trial version due to these error messages.
    Hope you can help!

  • Rented movies not working

    I just recently rented a movie on iTunes but when I tried to play it, it wouldn't work. I thought maybe it was a problem with iTunes, so I tried playing it in Quicktime but it still didn't work.
    Then I noticed the rented movie wasn't showing up on my 'Purchased Items' list and that the cost of the movie hadn't been deducted from account. It is still listed under my 'Rented Movies' category, though. Is there something I can do to fix it...?

    I have 4-5 mbps for Downloads.  It works fine when opening websites and downloading large files from the Internet.  I have set-up my IP to "automatically" as you suggested, even though I believe this was the default setting.
    I changed the resolution in Settings > Itunes Store > Video Resolution from 1080p to 720p.  Then I rented again "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen", (but now using HD 720p) and I get exactly the same error.
    Then I changed it to Standard Definition and now is working.  Basically what I have found out is that if I rent movies in HD 1080p or HD 720p it will simply not work.
    I believe 4-5 mbps is very fast internet connection, so the errors above should not be appearing.
    Feedback for Apple TV developers is to show estimated time for full downloads when using 1080p or 720p so the user can understand what is going on. Very frustrating as I just bought the Apple TV for watching HD movies. I have a 55" HD Sony Bravia tv ready to be used... !!!

  • Purchased games will not work with iPod Classic 160GB

    I purchased the original seven games (Bejeweled, Cubis 2, Mahjong, PAC-MAN, Tetris, Vortex, Zuma) offered by Apple when they were released for the 5th generation video iPod. That iPod has since died and been replaced by a iPod 160GB Classic. Like all of my purchased songs, I expected my purchased games to be compatible with my iPod. The games in iTunes are only listed as compatible with 5th generation iPod. I was happy to discover that there is a Check for Updates button at the bottom of iTunes so I assumed that all that I needed to do to be compatible with my new iPod is click on that button. Nothing seems to happen though. With the exception of Vortex which seems to no longer be available, all of the other games currently posted in the iTunes store show that they are compatible with the iPod Classic. It would seem evident that the Check for Updates button would address this issue. Why don't I see anything happening when I click on the button? I know that I must be doing something wrong since all of my purchased songs did not need to be repurchased to be compatible. I am guessing that I could repurchase all of these applications to make it work but I do not think that would be fair nor does it sound correct.

    in another discussion I read that you are supposed to rebuy the games from itunes store
    I am having the same problem with my new 120gig classic

  • Itunes movie not working

    i purchased the "hancock" movie recently, it does not work in my iphone and so with my pc laptop, it stops all the time. also, do we have a video to use at the old iphone? i feel like i need to know more about this. manual doesn't explain that much information.
    thanks,
    luisa

    I have solved the issue!
    There are a bunch of problems with the home.js. I will let whoever is responsible for this to fix the rest. It is pretty sad that this was released like this. It looks to be a copy and past from other extras, and then they tried to add a pretty background video, and failed horribly.
    Look for the following in the home.js file
    homeController.viewWillAppear = function() {
              if (!IS_APPLE_TV && videoLoaded == false) {
                        var new_elem = document.createElement("video");
    Change it to:
    homeController.viewWillAppear = function() {
              if (!IS_APPLE_TV && videoLoaded == false) {
                        document.getElementById("mm_div").style.top = "0px";
                        var new_elem = document.createElement("video");
    Essentially the problem is iTunes does not support, or can't handle the following:
    document.getElementById("loopVideo").play();
    Which would never allow the conditional to work for bringing up the menu. If I had more time to fix the nice display issue I would, but there are people who get paid to do this, and I paid for this movie.

  • Purchased file does not work!

    I have just recently purchased The Ricky Gervais Show Season 1 and it came in 3 parts and part 1 does not work, the other 2 work fine.
    I have tried authorizing the computer again but still only part 2 and 3 play on iTunes/iPod.
    If I could get some help on this matter I would be very thankful
    Thanks
    Chris Wilson
    P.S. I used a gift card to purchase this item

    What exactly do they do? Just not play? Give an error message? Skip? Ask you to authorize the files? Give as detailed of an explanation of the issue as possible so we can know where to start.

  • Bought iTunes Movie not working

    I purchased the movie 500 Days of Summer a few months ago, and it worked fine for a couple months. One day when I tried to play the movie on iTunes, the first half of the movie does not play, while the last half is fine. It makes a high pitched buzzing noise and there is no visual. Does anyone know how to fix this or what i can do to reload it or something along those lines

  • Gradient tool to show hide not work in layer masks

    I have a PS CC (201410204.r.310X640 subscription.   When I used CS5 I could use the gradient tool (black and white) to show hide content in a layer mask.  This achieved the correct smoothness I want to achieve.  In CC the tool does not work in layer masks -it removes too much or the reverse, etc.  I have no control at all over what is removed and not.   Is there a fix for this please.   The lack of the gradient tool for this effect is making CC not worth using at the mo to be honest and I am just about to give up on it.
    Many thanks for any help you can offer.
    Susan

    Thank you for the replies and I apologise for havingn taken so long but have been busy with one thing and another for a few days.
    How to explain?   What I mean is that if I have an image and I, say, then, for example, add a texture image, I could then add a layer mask to the texture lay and working in the lay mark remove or replace the texture mask as I wished... in CS5 I usually used the diamond gradient in little tiny strokes, if necessary, and this removed the texture in with a nice smooth gradient - or replaced it, depending on whether I was using black or white
    Now it does not matter how I use the gradient tool, each 'stroke' just moves the exposed part to a different place in the image
    and no matter whether the colur is set to black or white, each 'stroke' moves the exposed part to another place in the image.
    In order to replace the texture, I have to use the paint brush tool.
    I hope all this makes sense to you clever folks.   I have not reset preferences and tools but it has made no difference.
    Also, I apparently have PS versiib 2014. 2.2 Release   20141204.r30 x 64   - I have updated several times but do not know if this is the correct version.   Any ideas gratefully received.
    Many thanks.  Susan

  • Old movies not working

    When I go back to watch movies that I have made in the past, many of the clips don't show on the video. I have watched these movies over and over again and now all of a sudden certain clips are not working. Also, in the "events" area many of my clips are just showing up grey. Why is this??

  • DRM Movies not working on Safari

    I've been researching this problem online for quite some time. From what I'm gathering, Apple is preventing users from streaming movies from a wireless hard drive. I purchased a Lacie Fuel 2 tb hard drive to be portable with my media. I can play back all my movies that I have including mp4 and m4v files EXCEPT the movies I purchased on iTunes. Safari use to support and allow this until IOS 8 update.
    I have an old iphone that has not been updated and every movie plays fine on that. I want my iPhone 6+ and new iPad to work too. I've seen in forums where apple is passing the buck and saying it's a third party issue. That is not the case. It's happening to everyone using wireless hard drives ranging from Western Digital, Seagate, SanDisk and more.
    Apple... Doing this will encourage people to get their movies else where so we don't have to deal with DRM. I personally have stopped purchasing movies from iTunes at this point. When I purchase a movie I want to watch it when I want to no matter where I go. I should not have to copy or download it to my iPhone or iPad. I have purchased so many products from Apple including numerous generations of iphones and I pads and this is your way to say that thank you!!!!
    I could be more understanding if you was working on a fix for this problem. But every forum I have went to has people stating that they are getting run arounds on this and blaming third parties. Fix your problem.
    Apple will lose a lot of business from me and others. We all know apple has all the money in the world.... But I thought Apple was focused on customer satisfaction and I'm personally not happy with it.
    Mike

    There is a way around this without buying any converters or drm cracking software which costs £40-50 and is most probably illegal.
    Simply ... Upgrade your iTunes Account to iTunes Match for £21 a year. (includes iTunes Plus)
    It seems that when you upgrade you then download non DRM encrypted format files when you buy new movies.
    These are 256 ACC format files also rather than 128, and contain now DRM. This is also true of the audio files.
    I am not sure but it may also be that when you subscribe to iTunes Match it scans your library and asks if you want to upgrade your DRM files to non DRM and save the DRM files to your desktop. If this doesn't happen you can remove the movie from you library and then re-download the new DRM free version.
    IF I had more than 8 Movies in DRM format I WOULD pay the £21 for this. If I had around 50-100 videos then this would be a must. OK it would take days to re-download but a must. When you have all of your movies in Non DRM you can do as you wish.
    Lets face it £21 per year is not a massive amount of cash. I realise why DRM is their but Apple should let you play it how you please on a register Apple product. (With 16GB iPhones you will only really get 1-2 HD movies on your phone with apps before it full.)
    Hope This Helps in any way.
    PS... I haven't tried this yet only read about iTunes Match and iTunes Plus on the web.
    Cheers
