Purchased song, didn't download

apparently i was successful in purchasing a song but not actually downloading it. my bank account was charged, however, there is no record of it in my itunes/purchasing history. i don't want to buy it again obviously, is there anyway to retrieve it or to re-download it??
PowerMac G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Well, i went to store>purchase history. i didn't see anything about 'check for purchases' and definately not anything about restarting a download. the thing is, under purchase history, my song didn't even show up! there's no evidence of it. dude i know it's only 99 cents--i should just redownload it, but still, i wanna find out what happened to it! it's the principle.

  • HT201272 I downloaded a new album, but the first three to four songs didn't download the entire song.  How do I fix this??

I downloaded a new album, but he first three to four songs didn't download completely.  Only part of the song is there and then is skips to the next song.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Have you tried deleting the problematic tunes and then re-downloading them from the purchased section within iTunes.

  • HT201272 the whole song didn't download

I have songs purchased from Itunes.  I downloaded them from the Purchased section on itunes,  the whole song didn't download. This is multiple songs.  It started with them being purchased on the itouch then they transfered just fine to the itunes, then had to download from purchased. I need the whole song. We paid for them.  How can this be fixed????

Doublechecking. Have you tried deleting the songs (and their associated files) from your iTunes library prior to attempting to redownload them?

The whole song didn't download.  What do I do?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

  • Can purchased songs be re-downloaded in case of a hard-drive crash?

I purchased several songs onto my iBook. Then my hard-drive crashed. I replaced it, but they weren't able to reload my information from that harddrive onto the new one. Although I had a back-up, it was only of a specific data file and I didn't realize iTunes saves the song in the Users music file so I hadn't backed that up. Is there any way to re-download those songs I've already paid for? Any and all help would be appreciated.

Good luck getting replacements. I just discovered that an entire season of a tv program I bought last March , plus several episodes from other shows, did not download. I had not wanted to watch them at the time I bought them and just assumed they were all downloaded. And, one episode from another season I just purcased didn't download...the first episode! According to the link Apples tech people sent me, they don't let you redownload things you have paid for! I honestly don't understand this. It's all copy protected anyway and can only be played on certain machines so why can't you redownload if you lose it or never got it? I do back up everything and it is not in my backups. It just never made it to my computer.
I buy tons of books on Audible.com and can redownload one any time I wish.
Apples stinginess about letting people who purchased from them redownload is really bad business. I've contacted them again to ask for another download but if they say no, it will be my last purchase from the iTunes store. With Amazon now offering a lot of the same stuff, I can take my business elsewhere.

  • Bought an Album on iTunes - 1 Song didn't download

I bought RED's album, Of Beauty and Rage, on iTunes just a few moments ago & one song "The Ever" didn't download. The text over the song is red and when looking at it from the music library, there is an exclamation mark next to it. I looked at another discussion post where someone had a similar problem, but my iTunes library TELLS ME it's in my library, but it's not! It didn't download at all!
Here's what my screen looks like:
I was really wanting that song, too. I wouldn't mind losing the digital booklet because it isn't a song but ****, that ONE song!

  • Why will my brand new iPod touch allow me to purchase songs but not download them?

Can someone tell me why my new iPod touch is allowing me to buy songs but not downloading the songs currently being purchased?  The new songs actually show up on my iPad but not my iPod which is the device they were purchased on.

Try configuring your iCloud sync settings for music across devices, also go to the iTunes app hit more, then purchased and then hit the download button

  • Purchased album, one song didn't download...what do I do?

I purchased The Odyssey by Symphony X (by clicking the buy album button) and the entire album downloaded except one song, the album-only, 24 minute long The Odyssey.
Naturally I'm a bit upset. I tried clicking Check for Purchases, and it says I have no more songs to download. iTunes is not currently downloading any songs on that separate page.
I'm posting here because I couldn't find an iTunes support phone number and my experiences using Itunes support email in the past were less than effective. So if anyone could provide me with a phone number, that would be phenomenal.

There is no telephone support for the iTunes Store. Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their Download FAQ web page and explain the problem to them.
    Good luck.
