Purchased song never downloaded

I purchased a song this morning on the itunes store. Soon after the purchase, the application stopped responding and was forced to close. I believe this happened either before the download began or during the download. I reopened itunes and the song was not there, and I was not allowed to download it unless I repurchased the song. This seems like a software glitch to me. How can I get the song that I payed for?
Thanks, Dan

  • ITunes crashed immediately after purchase -- songs never downloaded.

Yesterday I bought two albums and a single from the iTunes store. They were put in the download queue, and four songs from the first album were downloaded successfully.
Then iTunes crashed. Thank you, verson 7.
When I reloaded the program the four songs I downloaded were in the Purchased area of iTunes, but the rest of that album, the entire second album, and the single were nowhere to be found. They weren't in my Shopping Cart, they weren't on my machine.
    $22 for four songs. Wheee.
I sent in a support ticket from the purchase history area, but I received no confirmation email or anything to indicate that anyone was even aware of the problem. It's impossible to find a human being to talk to, and I have no idea how long it's going to take.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Any pointers? Any chance that I might get a refund? Because really, $5.50 a song is ridiculous.

    Fro-Man,
The best way to get support on an iTunes Store issue is to fill out their support webform.
    Go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/download/
and tell them what you told me and they'll get things straightened out for you. They can get it put back in your download queue.

  • Hello.  I am receiving "error codes" when trying to dowload songs.  It charges me but the songs never download and I have restarted itunes and it does not automatically start downloading as instructed online.  Help?

Hello.  I am receiving "error codes" when trying to dowload songs.  It charges me but the songs never download and I have restarted itunes and it does not automatically start downloading as instructed online.  Help?

I don't know exactly what they said b/c they are nolonger on my screen.  It said something to the effect of "incomplete dowload, there was an eror during the dowload of *Song*".
The songs purchased were showing in my purchased list with an "exclamation point" by them, which I believe indicates the download was incomplete.  I restarted iTunes and the songs are no longer on my "Purchased list".
I was still charged after restarting iTunes

  • Purchased material never downloaded but is available in iTunes store?

So I purchased a couple season passes for a couple tv shows. Some of the shows have downloaded but most have stopped then all of a sudden they started again but only shows from last week not the ones that I missed for about 3-4 weeks. I am missing about 6 shows per season that never downloaded not even to my computer. What should I do?

Contact iTunes store support for your country.
You've presumably checked for available download under the iTunes Store menu options.

  • HT1491 I can't get all my purchased songs to download into my itunes library.  I tried to download "ALL" and only 44 songs out of 986 downloaded.

I have not been successful  in downloading all of my purchased songs.  I uesd the "download ALL" in the bottom right corner and it shows they have been downloaded, however, when I check certain songs I find I am still missing several dowloads.  Any suggestions ?  when I tried to download them a second time it won't allow it.

What happened to them? They can't just disappear? Have you changed computers or re-loaded the OS since the last time you synced? Do you have a backup of your computer from when they were present in iTunes? Were they ever present in iTunes?

today i recieved my itunes statement, and i have been charged for the videos, but i don t actuall have them. If i try to download them again i get a message saying already purchased, but i didnt buy them, and if i try and search for purchases, i just get an 'unkown error (5002)'
whats going on, why have they charged me for videos i never downloaded?

    Hello Bennett14,
It sounds like you have been charged for an application, but it was never downloaded and is not listed in your purchase history.  It also sounds like you were charged more than what the App Store listed as the price.  I recommend contacting the iTunes Store to help resolve this issue.  You can find steps to report a problem with a purchase in the following article:

    Do you have a question about the iTunes App Store? You should be posting that question here;

You are posting in the Mac App Store forum. The Mac App Store sells apps for Apple Macintosh computers, not for iOS devices such as Apple iPhones.

Have you tried using "Disk Utility" to repair your disk permissions? You may want to contact AppleCare for assistance on this one, sounds like it may be something else then just iTunes.

  • Why is my 'purchased' song not downloading?

i keep getting a notice that i have 'one item available for download' and when i press the button, nothing happens...

It shows that it is downloading but it doesn't show up on my music library,  it shows under "not on tihsiiPad" list.  Then I choose the song to download, it goes through the download process without an error message but still doesn't show up on my music library.

  • Is there a glitch in the ITunes store system preventing preview of songs or purchasing songs to download at this time?

What's up with the ITunes store? I have uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes and have tried unsuccesssfully to purchase for download a song. Not only that I can't preview the song first. I can play what I already have but forget about getting new stuff. that's NOT working. I've run every antivirus program thinking it was malware or something conflicting with Itunes store.

  • Purchased song wont download onto phone?

I purchased a song a few days ago and it comes up "Unable to Download Song." over and over.
I have tried restarting my phone, exiting the app, everything.
I have bought songs after I bought that song and they downloaded perfectly, but that one song will not.
    Any help?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • How can I delete items purchased but never downloaded?

I have several TV shows and movies that are on my cloud that I purchased years ago on my iPhone, now they are on my ipad but since I never actually downloaded any I can't delete them...help?!!?

If you mean that they show in the Videos app then check to see if Settings > iTunes & App Store > Videos (in the 'Show All' heading) is 'off' - if it's on then set it 'off'.

  • Purchased song not downloading

I purchased a song and it won't download, it says it was stopped because it was corrupted. It says to redownload it click check for purchases, which I've done several times and it still won't download... help please?!

Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their Download FAQ web page (I recommend that you use the form, not the link in your Purchase History as they advise; that's not proven to be very reliable) and explain the problem to them.
    Good luck.

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
