Purchased with wrong email address

Hi Folks, wondering if anyone has had this problem. I recently purchased the download of Premier Elements 11. However, I entered an incorrect email address and consequently have no confirmation of purchase or activation key. Having paid through paypal I contacted them after adobe advised that that is what I do. Howver Paypal hav told me that they only can resolve desputes where an item is tangable, not downloaded software. Paypal have referred me back to Adobe, yet I can never get in touch with anyone over the phone. My last hold time was over an hour before I gave up. I've paid for a product that I cannot use. Any suggestions?

I'd go to the Adobe Store UK, Web site, as they should also offer a Live Chat - at least the Adobe Store US does. I have used that for about four questions in the last few years, and it has worked fine. Though in some contacts, I did not get the answer that I wanted, I still got quick responses. Not sure if they can help you, but rather than hold, I would give it a go.

If the tracks are DRM-restricted you'll need to authorize the computer for the Apple ID that was used to purchase the songs. Pull down Store > Authorize This Computer and type in the credentials for the Apple ID.

V 7.0.2 - Unauthorized to play music purchased with old email address acct.

Has anyone else stumbled onto this? I have one iPod and one computer which I buy all of my music off iTunes from - But I had an old email address last year that I used to buy a lot of my music with. Since I upgraded, I cannot sync, play, or burn any purchased music that was purchased with the old email address. I tried authorizing under my new email address and password (I even get a sucessful message) but then when I go to play - it gives me the message "This computer is not authorized to play this song - would you like to authorize it?" But the message shows my old email address.
Any advise is appreciated.

I'm sorry that I have no solution to offer but I do have the same problem. Apple pointed out to me that I need to aothorize my computer using my previous account information (AOL) but that didn't work. Very annoying to have to do this when upgrading software. I will think twice before upgrading again or before buying from iTunes for that matter.

Music purchased with old email address doesn't play

Hello, I purchased music under an old email address and since updating my info, it doesn't play. I get the message that the computer name is not authroized, I enter my username and password, I get a message telling me the computer is not authorized, but still the music doesn't play and if I try to play the song again I get the authorize computer message again.
Any help wold be appreciated.

Have you tried to deauthorize your computer (via the Store menu), then re-authorize it?
Can you still login to other Apple services, such as the support website, using your Apple ID?

Delete contact with wrong email address

I added a contact to the address but misspelled the address. I left out one letter. I change to the correct address in address book but the misspelled address still comes up as the preferred when I compose mail. How do I get rid of the bogus address?

Just thought I'd let you know your answer helped me solve MY problem; I wanted to delete obsolete e-mail addresses that were popping up as suggestions when composing new messages. Mail's Help offered no answer so I searched the forum and found your response.

I typed the wrong email address while setting up iCloud on my iPad. I cannot change this. I have deleted the account but when I try to open a new account it comes back up with wrong email address. Both of my iPhones come up with the same wrong email addr.

I have gone to iCloud on Internet, apple, and Mobil me & can not find out hot to start over.

It happened to me too, and I don't know what to do. Have you fixed it yet?

Purchased Song with Old Email Address

I purchased some songs under an OLD email address and have since changed to comcast emal and now the songs need authorized to play. All the songs purchased with the OLD email needs authorized. All songs purchased with NEW email address play fine. I have aurthorized the OLD email sngs and it shows that it went through, but, when I actually try to play it, it says I still need to authorize the song. I'm stumped.
Any suggestions?

They would convert the AOL Account into an Apple ID. It's still be that same account, but wouldn't be associated with AOL. You couldn't merge it with any other accounts.

Call Apple Care and ask for the Account Security Team. They can assist you with your issue.

Thanks for your reply. Having read through relevant topics it suggests that if I sync my iphone with the correct account on my pc it should use that one thereafter. i will try both.

I just upgraded my MacBook from OS X 10.6.8 to Mountain Lion so that I could stream from my other devices (iPhone and iPad) to my MacBook. After making it through the upgrade process, I realized that I used the wrong email address for my iCloud username when starting up on the MacBook. My iPhone, iPad, and iTunes are under my Hotmail email address and I accidently used my Gmail email address for the MacBook. Is there any way I can merge these two icloud accounts together? I tried changing my account information to add the other email address, but wasn't allowed because another account was using the name (duh). If I can't merge them, how could I change the MacBook from the Gmail address to the Hotmail address so that all my devices are on the same icloud account? It'd be nice if I could keep the free 5GB of storage that comes with my purchase of the software, but I'd rather lose the storage than not be able to stream.

To change accounts on your Mac, go to System Preferences, sign out of the current account, then sign into the new account. When you sign out of the current account it will delete synced data from your Mac. Assuming your data (such as contacts, calendars, etc.) is in the other iCloud account, it will be synced to your Mac when you sign into this account.

You have to go to Settings>Store and log out of one account and log into the other account. If you have updates available for apps that were purchased from more than one account, you have to update the apps individually until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

Did you purchase or download the apps with your old ID? Apps are tied to the ID that is was purchased from.
If it is a new app you bought with your new ID, you can go into settings - appstore- apple id and then log out.

Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.
