+I've been thinking about getting an iphone, I like the ability to have the internet access when I'm away from home or on vacations. With my work schedule and not always having access to e-mail I thought it would be a good idea. But I'm still of the fence on whether I should really go through with it. I've heard some bad things about the iphone. I currently am a verizon customer, and would have to switch the AT&T for the iphone. Do any of you have any advice to better ease my decision?

- $40 Calling Plan
- $30 Data Plan
- Optional $5 TextMsg Plan (or $0.20/Msg - a la carte)
The lowest one can pay would be $70 + fees & taxes. There are some corporate discount plans (5-10%) if you or a spouse works for the participating Co.
Bare minimum, $75 + taxes/fees (~$85/month) is a good start. Could be $5 less if you do not text and can keep others from texting you.
Of course, you can always get larger plans...

Yes, they will hand you the box after you pay for it and offer to set it up for you. If you are buying it in another country make sure that they sell you an UNLOCKED iPhone and keep in mind the warranty is not international, if you need service you will have to return to the country where you bought it.

After spending $165 for Out-of-Warranty repair on my failed display iPhone 4 screen, I am unable to access $230 of In-App purchases for upgrades to a game I regularly play. The game creators are unwilling to help me retrieve the missing In-App purchases. Is there any actions I can take to either regain the in-App purchases (without spending another $230) or to get a refund for my In-App purchases? Please help!! Any ideas are greatly appreciated

When I went to connect my phone to iTunes I registered it and it synced all of the info from my husbands phone onto my phone. In the process it deleted all my info I had on my phone (contacts, messages, email accounts, etc.). I redid all of my info onto my phone but now am nervous about connecting to iTunes for fear it will happen again. How do I connect to iTunes without having all my info deleted again?

been with apple for years. one itunes/appleID in use for family - all purchases and downloads on the one account..
now got 3 ipads, 3 iphones and when we update the software, we seem to get text/facetime issues due to multiple email addresses and phone numbers for the different devices that each individual uses. For example, I send a text and it appears to have come from my wife or son to the recipient. Not good !
there seems to be direction from apple that each of us should use our own apple id, thogh how do I link the accounts so enable family sharing of music/media we have purchased etc - Id also like to be able to review and keep a private eye on what my son downloads as he is 11 yrs old ! I manage this currently as we allow him access to the password for itunes (as we all use the same id today)
Am i better setting up accounts for my wife and son independent of my own, or not. Each of us would like access to the family content we have and the master library of synced content. I just want the most simplistic approach that apple, or others would recommend.

My iPhone won't arrive for a little while, but my wife already got hers and she wants to set it up now. Using my Apple ID for the purchases, if she starts setting hers up, can she change her iCloud ID to something else quickly? It keeps telling us that we have to sign in with the AppleID first.
Should we just set up an iCloud account via normal internet before trying all this via iPhone?

I want to set up a separate icloud ID so that it is only on my new device. I still want to keep the same apple ID for purchases. About ~20 hours later, this ended up solving itself. We can send email using the '.icloud' email from both the iPad and iPhone. Advise would be 'wait' before you start seeking alteranatives like yahoo, hotmail, etc. This definitely is a convenient way to keep all your 'cloud' information in a centralized place, including the common email...

Cannot find apps purchased for iPhone and iPad in iTune

My iMac 27 running very slowly under Mavericks and since the upgrade of iTune to version 12.01.26 being impossible to complete a sync of my iPhone and iPad I decided to completely reset my iMac 27. Before doing this I copied all the files I wanted to keep on my MacBook Pro (including all my music and apps for iPhone and iPad).
The OS X Mavericks being no longer available on the App Store I completely reset my iMac 27 and installed OS X Yosemite 10.10. Once this was done I copied back all the files I wanted to keep from my MacBook Pro (running Mavericks) to my iMac 27 (now running Yosemite). There was no problem with all my music now appearing in iTune. However I cannot find any of the apps I bought for my iPhone and iPad and which I copied back from my MacBook Pro (running Mavericks) to my iMac 27 (now running Yosemite).
All the copied back apps appear correctly in the following directory of my iMac 27 :
Musique/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications/
However none appear in any of the 5 sections in the Apps section of iTune.
I decided to purchase an app in the App Store to see where the related file would appear and it appears in the same directory as stated above. I can see the icon of this newly purchased app in the app section of iTune but none of the apps I recopied from my MacBook Pro. Moreover when I go in the app store to see the newly purchased app I can see that it has been downloaded. However when I try to do the same for the apps I have already purchased and recopied the App Store tells me to purchase them. When I try to do the same on my MacBook Pro the App Store tells me that the apps have already been purchased, though they were the copied apps from my iMac 27 before full reset.
Can someone help me to get all my previously purchased apps in iTune on my iMac 27 so I can sync my iPhone and iPad without loosing all the apps which appear on them ?

Fruit Ninja has a unique iPhone version and a unique iPAD version. So for this particular App you can buy both. That said, if you decide to buy the iPhone version, the iPhone version will also work on your iPAD too. But the iPAD version which you have already purchased will not work on the iPhone.
So to summarize, iPhone apps will work on iPAD, but iPAD unique or specific apps will not work on the iPhone. Some apps are designed to work on both beyond the features of just the iPhone app. The Fruit Ninja HD unique or specific iPAD app will not work on the iPhone.

Now I have purchased an iPhone 5 and I want to install the LTP UNIVERSAL INTO THE IPHONE but , in the app store It seems that I have to repurchase the app for some reason,this shouldn't be the case since the app clearly can be installed on an iPad n phone together , I don't know what to do about it . You should be able to re-download LogTen Pro from the Purchases section of the App Store. To find this, open the App Store on your iPhone, and tap the Updates section. At the top of the Updates screen there will be a "Purchases" section, and tap this to enter it. Make sure that you are logged in with the same Apple ID that you originally used to purchase LogTen Pro, and it will display a "download/cloud" button. Tap it, confirm your password, and it will download again.
This "Purchases" section has been known to be a bit buggy -- try logging out and back into the App Store on your iPhone if you don't see it.
The App Store handles all sales and customer information, so your proof of purchase should have been sent by them. It is usually emailed to you from "iTunes Store" with a title: "Your receipt No. ##########".

While it isn't as easy to just use a Mac iDevice as media storage as Android and Windows, you can add documents and such like Word, PDF and others manually in iTunes to have them sync as well.

I purchased a iPhone from a individual, so, it has all his information as far as signing into iTunes...I want to change the Apple ID/e-mail on my iPhone and iTune account without loosing the current information/settings on my iphone.

Everyone that has or had a iPhone, if they did not buy from the dealer, they purchased it from a individual...in most cases, the phone has to be unlocked unless it's being used with the same carrier as the seller. My question is, when you purchase the phone from a individual and it has been unlock and has the seller's information...e-mail/Apple ID information for iTunes..so I can't purchase anything from the apple store because I don't have his password...I was wondering how do I change that without resetting it to the original settings, is there any way I can purchase from the iTune Store with my own Apple ID. Since he does not own this phone anymore, there should be a way to change that....I am just wondering...HELP?
I sold my first iPhone, it was unlocked, and the guy that purchased my phone, set up it so he could use his own Apple ID, but, I never asked how he did that, because I did not think at the time I would purchase another iPhone... anyhow, does anyone have the answer...please advise...thanks in advance...

Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in using your ID.
