Purchasing Apple TV at Best Buy?

I want to buy an Apple TV unit. There's a Best Buy that carries Apple products much closer to me than the Apple store. Is there any disadvantage to buying from Best Buy over the Apple Store? I think the price is the same. However, I am not sure whether the new Apple TVs at the Apple Store have the new update pre-installed, and if so, would the ones at Best Buy have it pre-installed also? Do they refresh inventory when something is upgraded (even if it's just software) as the Apple Store does?

shouldn't matter where you buy it as the hardware is all the same.
if it doesn't have v2 pre-installed then it is a simple download once you have the ATV connected to the internet.

Yah on October 22 we will have a very large release of many laptops and all new product will be available for purchase. Its very exiting how much there will be available.

Why buy a macbook at an apple store vs best buy

I am curious of what the benefits are from buying from the apple store vs somewhere like Best Buy where you can get the same product for cheaper right now.

I went to the Apple Store and they certainly know what they are talking about. I decided which product I wanted and purchased it during their Friday sale. Now I see that Best Buy has the exact same product for $50 less than the Apple Store sale price. I'm hoping that maybe I will get better service if I have any issues since i purchased direct from the Apple Store.
Anyone know if you can still get the same customer service at an Apple Store with a product purchased elsewhere?

I purchased photoshop elements and premiere elements 11 from best buy and have a macbook pro. How do I download to my mac without a cd drive?

Obtain the serial number by following the steps listed here. Copy the contents of the DVD on a USB drive first and then copy them on your hard drive and run the setup file.

Assuming you’re entering the correct code, and not confusing a zero for the letter O or 5 for S or 8 for B or similar, then if you mean you went to the store and bought a box, the cashier needed to have scanned a bar-code on the box and transmit that data to Adobe, otherwise the code won’t work. Maybe the code wasn’t scanned or maybe the data wasn’t transmitted in real time or maybe Adobe’s network didn’t get the data to the server right away. If this is something you just bought a few minutes before trying the code, maybe wait a little bit longer. Otherwise, there is likely a Contact Support button on the web pages that you can find on Adobe.com that will let you chat with an Adobe support person and they can perhaps tell you the status of the redemption code. Or maybe just go back to Best Buy with your receipt and the box and have them scan the code.

Is it possible for me to download LR5 to my computer without purchasing a disk from Best Buy, Amazon, etc.?

Sorry if this had been discussed. I was using machinery 2 for the blending and PS Elements 12 for the tweeks. I would like to try LR 5 and LR Enfuse but am having a hard time finding somewhere I could download LR without having a disk. Any help would be appreciated.

Non-Best Buy Purchases no longer getting points on MyBestBuy Mastercard

This to let who it may concern know, that I will probably be cancelling my BestBuy Mastercard soon. I have not recieved points for my account since 9/10/2013 on all of my Non-Best buy purchases. I have called the "Elite Customer Service Line" about 4 times since this started and every time they have apparently added in notes and I would be contacted and this probably would be fixed within 1-2 weeks. Well I called today again and was told the same thing. Which I am sure nothing will be done about yet again. So this is just to let you know that I am missing thousands of points and should not have to call multiple times to fix a merge issue because you guys wanted to update the name of your rewards program and weren't trained to merge accounts correctly. This is pretty sorry customer service for a 10 billion dollar company. The worst part is to fix this problem probably takes about 6 clicks of a mouse... Thanks Best Buy.

Return policy may be different from Apple's vs Best Buy. Regardless of crowds, only buy from Apple. Dealing with Best Buy in the future, if there's a problem it may not be worth what you believe to be a $40 savings.

Best Buy needs to change their delivery policy

I ordered a small electronic item, and have been going through a hassle to get it. It is being shipped by UPS, which has been totally uncooperative. I waited at home until after 5 p.m. yesterday, and then had to leave for an appointment. UPS attempted delivery at 5:56. I live in an apartment building with a locked front door and no resident manager. I can't count on my neighbors to be home to get my package, either.
When I called UPS today and requested that my package be held so that I could go pick it up, they told me Best Buy has a policy that their packages cannot be held. This means that I have to either spend another day waiting for UPS to arrive at an unknown time or let the package go undelivered. This is unacceptable.
Best Buy tells me I can't cancel my order, and that all I can do is let the package go undelivered for three days, and they will credit my account.
This means that either I lose my order or be a virtual prisoner waiting for UPS. If Best Buy would have informed me that I could not either pick up my package at a store or get it held by UPS, I would not have placed the order.
Either the holding policy needs to be changed, or customers need to be informed about it up front. I am angry enough to not do business with Best Buy in the future.

How do I use my Best Buy gift card on BB eBay?

I have been trying to order a specific Playstation 4 bundle through the Best Buy website (which allowed for in store pickup of this bundle ONLY) however, there are none available!
So I was very excited when I found it on Best Buy eBay, but I want to know if there is a way I can apply my 2 Best Buy gift cards ($55 total value)?
Also, upon purchasing the system from Best Buy eBay - would I be able to obtain an itemized receipt? Because I would like to purchase a 3 year extended warranty from Sony and they require an itemized receipt.
If need be, I am willing to go into the store to process the gift cards.
